I have been using TRM for over 6 months with very happy results on my Ethereum mining farm. The most recent release has been causing random GPU mining crashes on rigs that have been stable for months. The problem with the crashes is 0.7.17 frequently hangs and just sits there not mining until the user issues a system restart. I have had 10-20 rigs not mining for hours due to this.

I recently went back to 0.7.15 and all the issues went away. I have been running a farm for about four years now and know when there is an issue with mining software versus GPU crashes due to OC, riser, voltage issues, etc...

Here is SMOS log of one of the many crashes after 0.7.17 upgrade on all my machines.

is there any way to get more performance out of 5700 cards? team red caps around 53 mhs with 1800 mem 1250 core but phoenix will do 55.6

First you should check what you are getting at the pool for TeamRed and Phoenix. I run 5700s and I saw a big increase in stability which allowed me to increase my mem clocks. In my experience the reported MH for Phoenix is inflated by ~1-2% versus what you get at the pool. There are a also a number of factors that will limit your MH.
  • Have you Bios Modded your cards?
  • What are your mem temps? If mem gets above 90C it will throttle and lower your hash rate. This can be seen by starting up cold and then MH starts dropping as they throttle.
  • What OS are you using (SMOS, HiVE, WIN)

This is what I use. Once you set them up you can remotely restart your rigs from anywhere in the world. The work by using a relay to power on/off the motherboard using the switch inputs.

The ETH DAG goes above 4Gb in december and not April  Roll Eyes
I does but the 4GB ASICs are predicted to be unable to mine on 4/8/2020.

Taking a poll to see how many miners are coming back/upgrading in the next six months due to Ethereum DAG size and ProgPow change that should shift profitability very high for GPU mining.

I am expecting the following four events to create the perfect storm for GPU mining that will surpass the 2017/2018 mining profitability
  • Ethereum DAG size going above 4GB in April thereby eliminating publicly sold ASICs (4GB memory) from network. Current estimate is 35% of hash
  • BTC Halving in May should help stabilize prices
  • ProgPow in July will remove any remaining ASICs
  • By August if Corona virus is still disrupting China manufacturing, GPUs will be impossible to find as profitability soars for GPU mining

Bottom line is start preparing now for 2020 mining. In 2018, when mining profitability peaked, you could not find ANY GPUs to mine with.

Not sure why you are against an open community posting of ProgPow results that are more recent than a year ago and includes more AMD cards. I only stated facts in my response to you. Apparently you have ulterior motives in only making public certain ProgPow results. If not prove me wrong and please fill in the Radeon VII, RX5600XT, RX5700, RX5700XT AMD stats that have been missing on Miner Stat, the Radeon VII has been out now over a year and is not listed.

  • Those stats are old and are lacking the newest video cards. Only 22 video cards in the system and the new ones that are lacking are AMD.....hmmm
  • Please watch the video to understand why this information is superior to the way Miner Stats have collected data (Hint: not everyone is testing at the same DAG height)
  • This is also an effort to show the dev community that the mining community is serious about moving to ProgPow
  • The more miners that upload data, the more precise the numbers become

We need the community to start testing GPU cards for ProgPow. This should help show the coin devs that the community is looking forward to ProgPow and is ready.

Take a look at Hash Raptor's video below on how to set the benchmark up so we can compare all GPUs the same way. He has set up an upload site so the community can upload their data.

Any update on the paid version of the firmware without the dev fee? Any ETA on release? I would like to use the individual board clocking feature but do not want to pay the fee since I already bought the firmware.

Re: *Unofficial* ICBIT (BTC Futures Trading) - Help & FAQ's
by

FYI it is no coincidence that Segwitz2 failed and the futures are trading anyway. This keeps the futures unlinked from the cash which is allowing traders to short BTC and go long the futures without causing the futures to rise. This was planned and the big boys will continue to short BTC and go long futures until they have enough. Once this happens we will get Segwitx2. Gotta hand it to them pretty smart going long futures below $500 and selling above 6000-7000.
