Small update (got a pm from someone with issues.)
For those with problems, this package "here" includes -106mV, -112mV, -118mV and -125mV memory clock.
Core clock is still 800 stock, memclock 300, core voltage -100.

If you still have problems with one of these roms, pump up your core voltage (+6mV), some cards just won't do -100mV with a monitor attached.

New Update

Details rom usage.
---------------
Ethereum tests:

134 Mh/s @ 2.25A, 495watt (6 Cards) stock settings rom

185 Mh/s @ 4.8A, 1050 watt (6 Cards) 1020 Core, 300 Mem

Enjoy![/size]

What the highest hashrate you were able to get out of a nano?

Talan,

Thx for that register dump.

Now try this one.

Link

Flash it, completely shut down your system (Turn off the electricity!), completely remove driver (DDU), reinstall driver, remove Afterburner profiles, run afterburner and slightly go down on the core voltage (steps of -6mV)
This one has -75mV VDDC and -75mV MVDDC. so basically you can still go to -100mV if you lower your core voltage in afterburner to -25mV. Your system will be already booted and won't be going crazy like it is right now.

If this works, let me know, i'll lower the memory voltage until you hit the sweet spot.

For all you other guys out there.

Here, R9390Nitro With Backplate modded rom that i'm using.

This rom will make your nitro into a power hungry beast so please be careful.
First run stock clocks(after the flash), if it's ok, raise your core voltage with little steps (+6mV).
DO NOT flash this rom on any other R9 390 brand. It will definitely screw it up!
So ONLY R9 390 Nitro with backplate.

Link

Also.

This is a modified bios. Yeah...
This will void your warranty.
I am not responsible for a failed bios flash or damaged card resulting in the usage of this bios.
By downloading this you are agreeing that you take full responsibility for using this bios and hold no liability to me or this site.
If you feel uncomfortable, than don't.
If for some reason you do brick your card, because you probably didn't read my instructions to careful :p and you can't afford another one, than don't..
If you're happy with everything as it is right now, than don't.
If you're like me, and you want to get the most out of your GPU's. Than yeah. go ahead..
This goes for every bios i share.

Greetings!

What hashrate do you get with this rom?

is it worth to make an rig next month? i pay about 0.08 cents per kw/h

$0.08 /kWh is good price. If you buy the 6x R9 390 and a mother board with 6 PCIE slots, you might ROI.

if $0.08 /KWH is good then $0.0439 / KWH (what i just started paying) must be killer. should i build a rig since mine electric is so cheap? i judt bought an Asus r9 390 strix to get started...sorry to hijack the thread.

im really not a fan of the glued on heat sinks..

this is the main reason i didnt get one of these.. probably wont even pick one up 2nd hand..

Yea, looks like that might be why that one burned up. heat sink probably fell off one of the chips.
it would be awesome if they secured the heatsinsks like the PC motherboard manufacturers do (pic below).

then again....most motherboards have to work for 3 years (3 year warranties) these have to work for 3 months...

is https://bitcoinwisdom.com/bitcoin/calculator a good place to calculate ROI? i keep messing with this thing and still cant find ROI.....everytime i do it im in the hole $700+ after 200+ days. these things need to be cheaper. and with the reliability issues of late, i think im better off just buying a bunch of btc and seeing if it increases in value over those 200 days...when stuff lasts 2 weeks and burns up or fails..... that means it is total crap!

I'm curious...  Does your electricity rate per kWh need to be cheaper?

5.9 cents a KW. which is low for most of the USA....

This pisses me off...

I got a bill in today from UPS for $889.63 for the 23 x S7's batch 8 I received on December 22, 2015.  It would have been nice to know this before my purchase.  I'm not using UPS to ship from China anymore.  No consistency at all.  I've had a $17,000+ purchase, $9,000+ purchase and $7,500+ purchase from China using UPS before and never had anything but brokerage charge ranging from $39 to $69.  This time it's $890.00.  This sucks!  I can still pay it no problem.  It's just not appreciated when it comes as a complete surprise.

im confused. why did you get this bill? when i ordered my S5's i dindt get a bill like this....are you in the USA?

i wish the mining industry learned more from the PC industry. Like bitmain should just make socketed chips and a chipset and let others build motherboards and cases. follow a standard. maybe its to much of a niche for that but still it would be cool. i hope their next Miner is enclosed like the S3. open case is the worst idea ever. i dont care if it saves on shipping. make it out of plastic.

they just bumped the price on the S4+ too. now its $1170 before shipping. was $994 like 2 days go. i think it ridiculous that they expect us to wait 6-8 months to ROI (if they last that long) and yet they only warranty them for 3 months. ROI should be as long as the warranty  is! total BS.

I can understand the full S5 going up but not a part .

I am told this about on June 13 th then today

Hello sir,

price is 165$ per hash pcb.
and if you are returning damaged hash pcb then it is 150$.

best regards,
Bitmain_Z

I'm told this

(12:22:13 AM) Bitmain_D: Price for S5 hash is $189 + $15 shipping
(12:22:57 AM) Bitmain: i was told 150$ thatg including shipping with the old board

Then we talk some

I am told this price 165$ per hash pcb with the Damaged board + shipping, I  might Have bought it for 165 then they slip in the 15 dollars shipping it is in the US will be coming from them in the US to me in the US. I'M also told it was 25 off but when i was gonna buy it back in June 13 it was 15 off sigh shipping included in the 150 price with the damaged board.

I hate to say this what happening with them , is greed really getting that bad with them . I mean I can see buying a new one at the price now but jacking up the price for parts is a bit much imo . sigh .

Now I am really worried about how much the s7 is going to cost.  how many bad ones will be sold in batch one ,will they be used all my S5 i bought direct, not one was used.

they are probably running out and not producing anymore..
so they have to take boards off of working s5s.. this would make them worth more as they potentially lose a sale.

should i care sorry not a being ass here I don't like how the whole thing went down sense they sent me a email not 3 days ago asking to buy one i said I would this week, there was no mention of a price increase
for parts. I will pay the 165 for a one broad drop the shipping i think that fair enough Smiley .. they wouldn't .

if they sent an email with one price they should honor it.. if they dont then you have every right to be upset.

I can go on and on whats just wrong with what they just did but it won't do any good i may just sell off that broke S5 as parts and make like 250 off the parts i d rather have it working .

i only have 1 s5 and to be honest the quality from the s3 to the s5 went down considerably.
the one i have overheated and i think it caused some damage.. i keep seeing this.

what its showing is one hashing board is going offline for a few minutes.. the ticks on the graph are hours, so its about 20-30 min

enough to cool off that board..

its not always the same board tho.. and sometimes its offline for hours. Sad

here is the weekly graph showing all the times the board went offline.

What pool are you on? I was on infernopool  (profit switch pool) and had the same problem. When i mine on f2pool or antpool, i get steady hashrate. other profit switch pools make the hashrate fluctuate every time a block is found and there is a delay in the miners getting new work.

Re: Unified Thermal Core for antminer S5 blades?
by
Crypto84
on 27/06/2015, 03:12:06 UTC
well the prisma's did it and had some issues.  they did 4 not 3 heat sinks.

but a prisma pulled 1400 watts.

a triangle setup with 3 s-5 panels = 900 watts maybe 1100 if you push to freq 412.

two fans push pull with external controller I guess it could be done.

I thought the Prisma problems were more related to firmware, the exposed capcitors and breakable stuff and no thermal monitoring/shutdown of the chips? In the right environment, some people had no trouble with them. The Tube was a fantastic design/form factor.  It took the hashpower, power rating and efficiency of an S2, and crammed it into a very effective and dense package. The fact that the BE200 chips were tough very thermally "tough" probably helped, those things get freaking hot.

Anyways, I think 3 hashboards could work with the right amount of airflow, it's about the same wattage as a Tube.

3 S5 blades would probably be 900w i dont have the resources to create one anyway. just thought it would be a cool idea.
