What was wrong with the old thread?
Nothing was wrong with it, we just decided to go self-moderated for our launch. The old thread was our pre-ann. The online wallets will be available soon and all investors will receive their coins as they invest so there's no concerns.

No problem for the reply. We really do encourage constructive criticism and have decided to keep the thread unmoderated so people can see how we address the trolls.
The information in the OP will also be cut down and moved to a whitepaper because it seems like all this information right up front is a bit daunting for people. We're going to let our structure and our actions do the talking over the next few weeks so definitely keep an eye on us!

First of all, the concept sounds interesting. But I have a few questions and suggestions.
Correct me if I missunderstood you.
You say that there won't be a wallet and source available until the IPO is completed.
So you want to say I haven't even a prove that this coin really exists until the IPO ends (after all 7 stages)? So you just playing with numbers like "Thank you for investing 0.5 BTC your stake of xxx CPL is documented"?
You have to admit that this will lead to a very risky investment, if you can't prove that there is at least a coin behind this concept.
And a suggestion to the escrow service. You wrote escrow would be difficult because of the buy backs. You could easily instruct a trustworthy member who offers an escrow service. The escrow agent could also run the buy backs for you.
Just an edit on this as well since the wallets and source won't be available until the IPO investments and Buy Backs are complete then no exchange can add our coin before launch.
This will ensure that as a community we will have already given an associated value to the coin through our IPCO structure.

We do not do escrow as we are providing buy backs which is much more efficient to the community and if you stopped to read instead of just seeing IPO and thinking its a scam we are trying a new innovative solution to IPO to allow everyone to profit.

Thank you for your questions, this is the type of constructive criticism we're looking for to smooth out the rough edges. We have decided to restructure somewhat due to everyones concerns.
We have decided to push the IPO launch date back 1 week so stage 1 will commence on around April 7th. Until then we are going to develop an online wallet and have it ready for launch. The wallet will be locked until the IPO is complete and will only allow incoming transfers, so everyone can have possession of their coins. Then once the stages sell out and an equitable distribution has been achieved, the lock will be raised and we will start hitting exchanges by the week.
Regarding escrow, we believe our new format will remove the need for an escrow since our reputation will speak for our legitimacy. As funds come in, the coins will be going out so there are no questions regarding the existence of this project. Other than that, we have already started contacting blog owners and merchants and strive to secure multiple strategic partnerships before the launch even begins.

How can you prevent Cryptsy from listing a coin, its out of your control. They will list whatever coins they want at a time when they want same as any other exchange.

Cryptsy will be avoided simply by not posting on their voting page. If the choose to list us, that is beyond our control, but we are saying we won't be pushing for cryptsy at the start.
The amount of information that we listed in our "Team" section is about as much as we're comfortable releasing at this time. Our purpose for laying out our team is to show that we have multiple hands working on this project.
And regarding limits, there's no possible way to "enforce" people from making multiple accounts however we decided to set limits anyways.

Is there a stage at which actual technical specifications of a coin will happen, or does that depend on how many further stages these first three stages turn out to determine to be needed before details such as what type of coin platform or technology to use and so on can reasonably be discussed?
(e.g. is stage one the determination of what technologies eixst that have a chance of being able to secure a ledger? Or is that magically pre-decided so that your so called stage one is details that already assume a certain type of technology, such as a proof of work blockchain or whatever, so that one discusses things like the minting schedule or the hashing algorithm rather than what base tech to even use to being with?)

So you are telling me that you will be buying back the coins from us before they even hit an exchange? Cool
Stages 1-3 won't be eligible for buy-backs due to their extremely low price and the funds received will be reinvested for large project bounties, advertising and marketing. How these funds will be reinvested will be decided with the help of the community. Raising awareness for CapitalistCoin will be our main intent right from the start along with partnering with the right people and groups who are confident in our success such as merchants and media organizations.
Those that participate in and past stage 4 will be eligible for re-purchase in all higher stages until stage 7 sells out.

Discussion regarding the advertising and marketing strategy for stages 1-3 will be held here. We have a vague strategy in place regarding the reinvestment fund however are looking for suggestions from the community.
