The Reikicoin folding pool met some good success. Team Curecoin is currently rank #130 in the world against teams that have been folding for ~13 years. CureCoin should fix the issue of having "worthless" gpus.... folding proteins is something done best by gpus and there is no folding asic in sight.

Its hard to express in few words the work that has gone into CureCoin. To make a few updates to the original post:
CureCoin already has 3 SHA mining pools ready and waiting for launch time. Plus many other requests from other pool makers for permission to make a CC pool when it launches, of course they were are told they are welcome to make their own pools. So expect many pool to be available. If you are a pool OP and are just reading up on the news, you are all welcome to make your own pool, no need to ask permission.
As for the launch ready pools, we have a stellar line up of experienced pool ops. Including Crypto-Expert and Dyoungii ( Dencoinpools). Both of them ran a test run on a sample curecoin code for around a week or two, with the whole team involved tossing hashing power at it, a few devs tried block chain attacks during the test and found no problems.
Both of the above pool makers have gone out of their way to upgrade the security on their pools for the upcoming launch.
As for the base code mintage and maxcoins of the coin... many spreadsheets lay across the dev teams screens with different models many of which have been tested and torture tested in private testing. The end numbers of coins minted through SHA mining and Folding has been reviewed and replaced countless times. I believe that model has been created that will keep everyone involved happy about the project.
Many other member of the crypto community including devs and pool makers have contributed to the overall work of CureCoin. One person being a CureCoin supporter is Vorksholk. As you see he was able to cover an update for us while there was, circumstances. Thanks for that!
And to cover one last item, the CureCoin Foundation is indeed being worked on with a CPA and lawyer. The foundation will ensure that CureCoin adheres to its goals. It will be a non profit foundation so any donations will be tax deductible

The team and I are working on the final specs of the official coin at this very moment. We are taking a 20 minute dinner break then getting back to work.
Not sure if it has been mentioned but CureCoin plans on being a long term coin. Mintage will last for at least 30 years.

The "merge" folding / double pay for Reikicoin will increase as folders increase. Id like to add some incentive to Team Curecoin.
For this folding pool Ill payout the entire 2.5% of the premine within 1 - 2 months. This will mean lots of alt coins for a small amount of time spent folding.

To respond to how much of this does not make sense... like how do u put reiki energy into a digital coin, I cant guarantee that it will work. This is just a theory. If it does work though it will be one of the best inventions since the CPU. The ability to send Reikicoins to the sick to get healed ... would be ground breaking.
As far as working on Curecoin / this project is merely a side experiment and will not interfere. Professor Pande already hand pick a student going for his major and phd in computer science to help us complete Curecoin. So, no worries man. All is well

Update - As promised there is a folding pool up, I have the payout set to 5000 coins per day to split among folders.

Considering Reiki is an age-old scam, this is amusing on so many levels. Maybe I will just hold my hands above my mining devices and channel energy into them and see how much I get that way.

Sorry for the unusually short ANN thread. The Reiki master is going to prepare a couple paragraphs for me to post in this ANN OP. She is busy living a humble life of giving her energy. When her statement is ready ill update the OP. Update - 5/4/2014 I try to stay in contact with the Reiki Master, however she still continues to devote 12 hours per day helping patients. She has not even touched her share of the coins yet. She is still trying to figure out her new windows 8 PC ... (grins lol). Never the less, the coins are being held in cold storage for her. I hope she decides to trade a few of them before she gets too old !!! ( more grins ) What I can say is that when I tell her about the Reikicoin network she is excited, yet has no idea about how to use a crypto wallet. ( big grins )
The exact ID of the reiki lvl 3 master will not be revealed... but if u wish to relay a message, I will relay any important messages to her.
