Maybe this weeks guest host on Take My Bitcoins, David Choi, will sing this on the show, drop him a link to the tune in a tweet. Then we can find a real rapper to take tune on, but we gotta start somewhere. I could do a production of this but it would have violin, viola and cello and would be structured like a Brahms Contata, which some would like but ... I'm jus' saying, fo real, yo. Cheesy

**Click dat BIT! ... YO!**

Yes, this would be a very appropriate and effective main tag. As a songwriter, sometimes, we want a word association. The word "Kick" and the action, to, "Kick it" this is a meme in RAP, and a well established form of slang and jargon in the modern lexicon. So perhaps a mixture of the two, where the listener, after listening to the tune, they then associate "Kick It" with "Click It" and they get a "double meme" tag to fix upon, an "idee fixe" that carries that tune in their memory after they listen to it.

You feel it, you hear it, that's cool.

What voice? Who? We get them into Snoop's studio, and we do this.

It needs lyrics to extend the verses for sure. I'm thinking a video, break dancy, hip hoppy, and the dancers describe with their dance how to use a bitcoin wallet.

And this is certainly more fun than adapting Christmas Carols to the bitcoin lexicon, but hey, that was fun too, so this ... MAWS BAY TREEPIN !!! ;-)

Wallet will not sync.

Of the 40+ stones I mined with a GPU rig, only 21 remain. It seems that coins get "magically" subtracted from my wallet.

I'm getting "interest" payments sent to my wallet every hour, app hung, rebooted, restarted wallet, won't sync.

I think this coin is officially destroyed. Nice try though.

Alarmed by your post, I fired up my wallet, checked balance, synced. All my thousands of stones were there intact, app is fine, sync was smooth and quick. Not sure what is the cause of your problem, but to immediately conclude that it is a system-wide failure of the coin - that strikes me a bit overblown. Check more deeply on the home-front before making global assumptions. Re-install with latest wallet upgrade, take a chill pill.

So you have no solution except to say that YOUR shit is ok. I'm fifty years old. I've been an information technology professional for almost twenty years. My shit NOT ok, bro. I've been following this coin very, very closely, and it is fucked up.

None of these logos have any meaning behind them. Can we not get a real graphics designer to make something? Right now Logo 5 is the most visually appealing but it lacks any meaning.

Offer a bounty, why should a "real" graphics designer, who you will only deem as "real" when YOUR sensibilities are pleased, why should a REAL graphic designer work for you for free?

Put up a bounty, offer some value for your sensibilities. If you think you have what it takes to make a proper selection for a logo for this coin, then provide some VALUE for that. Show us that you think your ability to choose a proper design ... has value, by offering a bounty.

It's obvious you have no skills, but you certainly know how to apply general criticism, but that criticism is of YOURSELF, as you are not providing any value to any other person, for YOUR desires.

As some of you may have read, I've joined a company called CoinMyne and CGWatcher and CGRemote have come with me. This will allow me to devote all my time to working on these projects. I'll be moving to LA this week so I might not be able to get to your questions or problems right away, but I will try to catch up once the move is over. I recommend joining the new support forum at http://www.minerremote.com/support, where we're building a community and repository of information and answers. Please try searching for your problem to see if it has been asked and answered already before making a new thread. There is also no newbie jail so everyone is able to post their questions or feedback.

Congratulations, I hope some VC take notice of your work and the company for which you work.

Sapphire 7950 Vertcoin settings and observations.
by
CryptoCoinSolutions
on 08/02/2014, 22:07:18 UTC
GPU: Sapphire 7950, 4L ref, (red and black case).
MB: ASRock extreme6
RAM: 8GB
CPU: intel i2500K CPU.

MINER: vertminer 0.5.3 renamed to 'cgminer.exe' living in a folder within the cgwatcher folder.
BIOS: stock, (I intend to flash it with an optimized Stilt BIOS and then gently OC for max, but conservative OC performance.)
TEMPS: 20C ambient room temps, GPU fan at about 75%, GPU temps 65C. It's in a wide open box but no box fan blowing on it.

I'm hashing at vert.bitcrush.info and getting less than 1% stale and rejected. I'm in the U.S. and pointed at their U.S. server URL. I've been testing for 48 hours.

It hashes at 273 kh/s - 280 kh/s. When restarting or starting the miner, hash readings in vert/cg/miner report wild fluctuations up to 825 kh/s for a few moments and then swing down to 180 kh/s, eventually settling in at the a fore stated rates. This card and setup is of course completely stock.

OBSERVATIONS of INTEREST:

Running any applications that access the higher functions of the GPU, like watching a movie in VLC, or firing up a CAD program, will bring the hashrate down to 20 kh/s and stick it there. No matter if vert/cg/miner is then restarted with a .bat file at that point, or the miner is restarted from cgwatcher, no effect, the card is still stuck at low hashes. Rebooting then seems to reset the card and free up its resources and it goes back to premium hashing.

Of interest, in MSI afterburner, I see that the memory use on the card is only 2054 MB of the available 3072 MB. My question is, why is it only using 1/3 of the memory on the card and might there be room for improvement, to get the card to use more of its onboard memory, or, is this a limitation of the algo, the "Scrypt N (Jane N)", algo?

The only setting that might not seem to be stock or "nominal" is that powertune is set at 20, because it is a "boost" edition card. There is a slight difference when powertune is set to 0, or 10, the hashrate is reduced to about 243 kh/s.

Re: [ANN] profit switching auto-exchanging pool - middlecoin.com
by
CryptoCoinSolutions
on 04/02/2014, 04:17:01 UTC
I've been test mining at Middlecoin for about the past two weeks. I'm mining with a rock solid 3-card Sapphire 7950 rig, (all the exact same card, the 4L). The cards all hash at 597-598 each for a total of 1.8 MH/s. I have an additional 7950 hashing at 540 KH/s in another configuration. So my total hash is about 2.3 MH/s conservatively. Each is running on a "Stilt" BIOS optimization, Stilt rocks.

TOTAL HASH = 2.3 MH/s, temps kept below 70, a pro setup.

I use CGWatcher, I keep a close eye on everything. I review my logs 2-3 times per day. I reboot once per day. I'm getting a really absurd state/reject rate, sometimes as high as 12%, other times as low as 4-5%. useast.middlecoin.com is the best ping and seems to stay up most of the time. I failover, yes, I knows howz to do dat ... thanks.

There are 20 GH/s pointed at middlecoin.com, more than 1/3rd of all the hashing power available on the internet that is hashing either Litecoin or Dogecoin, that's a lot.

I think the entire Middlecoin system is pushed to the absolute limit and is near constant failure at all times ... and is going down often and we can see that in the data and with various tools. I wouldn't be surprised if they are rebooting servers often and pushing services around while they do that.

What an awesome VC opportunity, a dirty job, proven to be a money maker, (damn hard work), but relatively little glory.

If the VC would get their heads out of the clouds and then out of their asses and fund this guy, this operation, they could make some real money and do some good things for the CryptoCurrency industry.

So here's the wallet I'm testing with and the payments to date including today's recent payment:

http://i62.tinypic.com/jj89s6.jpg

Here are the various links to the recently assembled statistics sites that have been posted to monitor the Middlecoin data provided from Middlecoin in their JSON feed:

http://mc.vegr.com/flotchart.php?BTC=1AAuGXD9yvUQvfTR2dvuuFLcBL4HYpRVWP

http://middlestats.circlestorm.org/?target=1AAuGXD9yvUQvfTR2dvuuFLcBL4HYpRVWP&days=7

http://vps.webbson.net/middlecoin/?wallet=1AAuGXD9yvUQvfTR2dvuuFLcBL4HYpRVWP

I'm pulling my BTC address specific JSON to a google spreadsheet and after some analysis I see inaccuracy in the unexchanged portion of the earnings and what might should have been disbursed by this time, and it bother me, it bothers me a lot.

It's only a matter of time before somebody does the coding and the work that shows an aggregate and gross inaccuracy in the books such that, the client base will start seriously thinking that Middlecoin is fudging the books, big time, that's how business works, somebody is going to launch a competitor, that works slightly better, and then publish data which shows the grotesque inaccuracy in the Middlecoin disbursement system.

I'm not going to do several thousand dollars worth of programming and publishing to "be great" and prove anything, cause a stink, get yelled at, get tin foil hatted by a bunch of greedy miners who are lucky enough to be getting MUCH better pay for their hash ... I'm just going to publish my own, immediate findings with the comments that the Venture Capitalists in bitcoin VC funding in general are idiots if they cannot see how wildly profitable a Most Profitable Pool for BTC model can be, especially with an investment of several hundred thousand in hardware to build a Scrypt farm to mine for the venture to sustain and seed and maintain support for the operation.

I tell ya, there are some HARD HEADED Venture Capitalists out there, that's for sure.

From reading all of the pages in this thread I can see there are a lot of people that deeply suspect there is major books fudging going on in this operation. We can certainly observe the data and see there is some gross distortion in the amount of hash some people point at Middlecoin, and the amount of BTC they get out of that, and that's bad, no matter how you look at it, that's REAL bad.

And I understand the Middlecoin principals have big, big plans to roll out more and more servers, and I say "that's great", that's really "epic" ... man.

But you really should get your code in order, and get your basic services working worth a crap before you go "conquer the world" and be "great".

Garbage in, Garbage out. Add more servers, get MORE garbage in, and MORE garbage out.

It's a shame that such a profitable opportunity is being so poorly executed. And hey, if I were sitting on all the profits that Middlecoin has made so far, I wouldn't be worried much ... about anything, at all ... except, some VC coming along and plunking down a couple of million, and putting you out business in the blink of an eye.

Work is in progress to bring up a machine hosting all of the wallets. A python script, then an executable from that model will run on this wallet stats machine. The data from that machine will then be produced more often and with increasing accuracy and automation. At some point a JSON feed of that data will be made available for other developers.

The data for this chart is taken from the JSON feed made available by coinchoose.com. The data is double checked against the coin wallets using the getnetworkhashps console command. This data varies, sometimes minute to minute, but the data for DOGE TNH seems to be stabilizing. This is confirmation beyond any reasonable doubt that the Total Network Hashrate, TNH, for DOGE has surpassed that of Litecoin and is maintaining that lead.

According to my observations:

1. DOGE now commands 95.9 GH/s on the Scrypt coin network and has passed the "Total Network Hashrate" of LTC.
2. DOGE at one time today registered, (gethetworkhashps in the wallet console), registered 322 GH/s at one point.

3. LTC at the time of this post has a TNH of 80 GH/s

4. 98% of people in Crypto do not realize how significant this might be.

Thoughts?

The data for this chart is taken from the JSON feed made available by coinchoose.com.

Some of the coins, (for which coinchoose does not care to make the Total Network Hashrate available), their data is manually entered from the reports top mining pools for those coins provide. In the case of dogecoin, the Total Network Hashrate is taken directly from the wallet client. For example, PhilosopherStone and Dogecoin, the Total Network Hashrate is not made available by coinchoose. If you try to enter the command "getnetworkhashps" in the PhilosopherStone wallet client, you get an error, so finding the data to fill in the blanks at coinchoose is part of the task of producing these charts that I am sharing. I do not claim this chart is completely and totally accurate down to the 12th coin charted, but I have a lot of confidence in the data for the top 8 coins listed. Producing this chart is work, and writing the script in google sheets was some work. I want to continue to refine this chart, and my code, and continue to post it to support my investment in Dogecoin. Tips appreciated, please, feed the Doge a little treat, thanks. So we can see that Dogecoin commands a lot of attention from miners. I think a lot of mining for Dogecoin is being done by Middlecoin and hashcows, and other Multipool that mine the most profitable coin. So a lot of hash is being pointed at Dogecoin by the "most profitable" coin mining pools, but that's just my opinion. Any conversation that helps us understand where the absolutely, terrific amount of network hashrate is coming from that is recently directed to mine Dogecoin would be interesting, I encourage a disscussion of the recent, and phenomenal increase in Total Network Hashrate for Dogecoin. In the last 24 hour period, Dogecoin has passed 50% of Litecoin's Total Network Hashrate. No other coin has done this, this is the first time since LTC took the Scrypt coin, Total Network Hashrate lead and maintained that lead without being passed, this is the first time any other coin has gotten anywhere near Litecoin's Total Network Hashrate, much less half of it.

When setting the bitcoin wallet address as the miner username, (workerName), in the cgminer command, is it best to use a different bitcoin address for each machine mining, or should all rigs use the same bitcoin address?
