OP, I doubt your suggestions are going to get the attention of Theymos, but I happen to agree with you about the search delay at least.  I have no idea why it takes that long to be able to search for something else or correct a mistake made in the search field.  That's been an annoyance to me quite a few times, and I don't have a clue why it is the way it is.

Regarding the 360 second restriction on posting: That's only for brand new members if I'm not mistaken, and it goes away very quickly once you hit Newbie status.  It might be a bit too long, since there are a lot of people who register on bitcointalk to post a scam accusation or get some quick info, and I can see how it's a huge pain in the ass.  The problem is that if there wasn't any type of restriction like that, there would be bots spamming the forum like you wouldn't believe.  Even with that 360 second thing, we still get problems from time to time with bot spam.

And yeah, a lot of things could be improved upon here.  The new forum software should fix all of that, and I hear it's going to be released any day now.

Hi and thanks for your answer. I do want to apologise to anyone for my lack of punctuation in this post or any “dumb” questions that upset or seemed to Atleast upset some users. Yes I am new here. I need to learn what’s more accepted here than on wider topic forums like social media. Anyway let’s continue.

This 360 character as I was NOT aware was for newbs only makes it not valid in my OP. But thank you for letting me know. With the 90 second search block timer I am still wondering if this has been brought to the mods or any of the developers attention and or is on a list of updates to be made? Or has now need changed to be less time to wait between a Search? Which I can only assume is to slow down users on the website when there is a lot of traffic? If that’s the case, I’m sure there would be a work around to fix this and remove or reduce it to a more appropriate timer of 1-10 seconds but really it shouldn’t be there again unless it serves another purpose.??

I'd make it 3600 seconds for newbies. No one needs more of such illiterate garbage like the OP. If you can't spend a few extra seconds to spell-check and proof-read your shit, Twitter would be a great fit for you.

Ok sorry I didn’t write perfectly. I haven’t used an old style forum for along time and since everything else I use has spell check activated. Here I can’t find it at all. So whatever sorry to upset your day,

Huh Simply wondering why there is a 90 second search block? I types the work. Thing mistake and I have to wait 90 seconds for to try again.. we know time is of the essence it’s life.

The sale for posts why 360 seconds that’s to long. Make that 60 seconds. And remove the 90 second search bar block to something like 0 or 10 seconds??

Seriously and suggestion please share if you feel for or against this thank you.

I get this prevents spam. But for commenting and for searching I don’t think this prevents spam. Maybe comments but they can have a 10-30 second cap like whatever but not 360 seconds or 5 minutes . The search only once in 90 seconds is just I don’t know why that’s there? It’s stopping people getting to things they want to read or find ir search for. You don’t see search engines having a 90 second to search function. This of all NEEDs to go. Thank you.

The link for Bitwave.ltd don’t go there but it is a scam and people will send you or get you make a account and send you fake BTC on this test net that is on live servers. They send 8k USD btc then ask you to verify account costing 0.05BTC or 0.01 BTC thats $600-$3,200. Dom fall for it you won’t be able to withdraw the BTC and the funds added won’t be able to use to trade. If you do the funds will just end up being test net funds and the funds you deposit or any crypto you send will become into their bank and you will see test net balance of what you p
Purchase. Be scam wise and crypto scam aware. Read up on them every so often how people do them.

Scammers are everywhere same for ICO airdrops avoid them if they aren’t on a reputable paying place for every airdrop of its a telegram group or Twitter account of Facebook group don’t bother I did 130 of them and gained 1 token that turned live into a coin now worth $0.43USD  still I lost a lot with many phishing to email and calls to my phone from account being telegram needing my phone number and not had a burner to use.

Anyway yeah just thought I’d add lucky I didn’t fall for it but I nearly ddeposoted to binance to buy 0.055 BTC and then send to the shit site for activation or verification RED FLAG IF THEY WANT CRYPTO TO VERIFY ITS A SCAM.

Lucky I didn’t or have taken a loan out to have done it.. anyway be wise folks!

Re: Wallet or Exchange?
by

Firstly you need to learn that your crypto isn’t stored on a wallet or on an exchange wallet. But for your question it’s better stored WHILE mot trading on a normal hardware wallet or not even in wallet but just the private keys to the chains as your crypto isn’t stored in any wallets be it app or program or hardware or on exchange. It’s held and accessed on its chain. Say it’s ETH or ERC tokens this run on ETH chain. You require your EpTH private key and or the wallets seed phrase to be able to move and or trade and or send your crypto.

Your wallet is like a bank statement you can’t make transactions with it. But the bank private details can be used to make transactions the only difference is the wallet CAN be use to make transactions but you need to use a seed phrase or the private keys to do so on the live exchanges and or to move to another wallet or chain.

This will take a little time to wrap your head around but your will get there!  Cheesy

sence your leaving the forum almost 9 months, I want to say welcome back Op. nice to meet you , if you did not leave the forum for sure you are one of those high ranks being successful cause you are not new in crypto you can share your knowledge to everyone and also you can learn a lot of things here in forum.
Anyways good luck to your new journey.

Reading through the thread I discovered you have been around for a while now and at that would have developed lots of experiences over the years, I believe you will easily fine your way around here with lot of knowledgeable members of the forums that will also contribute and enhance your better understanding of the forum.

Thanks for the welcoming and easing in to what I find a bit overwhelming. Still I will I dry and a lot of it and the general parts of what is what and the types of coins and their purposes to tech analysis and now learning to plot my own charts and do tech analysis and learn to plot long and short term markets for projections I can go off of my own knowledge and not if of even the largest finacial or crypto signal providers. Or Atleast I can compare their projections to what I see on my charting and make sense of it more so. See I still don’t trade often I swap $1-3 here and there and that’s it.

I am fortunate to be very patient and happy to wait and see for markets I am in that have been going up 8-11% over the last days last week and basically has been quite satisfying in that I chose them all from the coins I had referred in fees I exchanged them at highs to coins at lows or even mid way up or less my own. Sure I saw some info but I don’t own dog-coins but I have owned Shiba which I rode up 80% and made $1 from $1.19 or nearly made $1 and this was the other day and was over less than 24 hours. As it was speculative I let it sit and fell without checking (being so small) and then swapped out to something when that $1.19 after going to

Welcome to bitcointalk! Quick and friendly recommendation for the rest of your stay: Don't create enormous posts unless you really feel you have to. The above is hard to read; it seems like you were hurry when you were writing it.

Hi and thanks. Yes I have been around for enough time. It’s that this forum has always overwhelmed me even today. I know I do understand most things to do with cryptocurrency the types of currency’s like DEX or EX coins and main coins BTC and governance tokens to meme coins to stables to nfts and that’s not even half of the types! They are just what I can remember oh and Defi and Dapp crypto.

Then for things like reading a market that’s fine I can read most markets bar charts and understand the most common used indicators like Strength index MACD bolls Fibonacci and now I’m learning how to plot my own lines and use data I want to use so to speak as opposed to relying on oscillators and say MAs even though they all help.

I feel I need to learn to plot charts over long and short term markets. Then also to me crypto and blockchain is forever evolving and EVERY day I learn of a new coin that does things I half understand or I don’t at all. I say that as it shows how much the industry for tech and fin tech is evolving now at near exponential rate. As we see AI and heavy duty programs software and hardware getting ever better making things that were not possible now possible with more possibility's arising every day!!

But yes I will figure around this forum. Cheers for the comment.

But what can or is being done to make for a better and more reliable airdrop and pre sale sector for crypto and related digital goods?
What's wrong with the current airdrop and pre-sale sector? If you disagree with the way they currently work, then I'll need to have more context, other than they are heavily targeted. If you disagree with them as ideas, then what to do?

“Free money” was always a way to attract people. The problem with airdrops is that they're not free neither money.

All the sticky’s and rules ect. I want to be sure I get the gist and I know it won’t take just one day to read them all and to actually absorb them. Rather days or weeks.
The forum isn't hard to understand. The technical background of every topic discussed, though, is.
Reading through the thread I discovered you have been around for a while now and at that would have developed lots of experiences over the years, I believe you will easily fine your way around here with lot of knowledgeable members of the forums that will also contribute and enhance your better understanding of the forum.

First hi and nice to meet you. Can I say it’s that my argument is based on a bit of a lack of knowledge when I did them. Compared to now. Even so I completed over 130 of them that were not linked to any main airdrops or apps or sites that prove to be legit, being LATokem always sent me the airdrop but it was very small and same for other airdrops in places like CMC and coingecko or large institutions which do more research that the Telegram And Twitter Accounts or Groups that were posting their referal to the airdrops. I mean yeah I never changed my Twitter handle or @ never changed any of the social accounts I used name or handle so that wasn’t an issue. I always put the correct public address .I don’t know and I know after I read about them that this is normal in that you will get maybe 2/10 on a good day.

Also this is purely regarding ICOs and airdrops that aren’t for other coins like a nee fork of coins or coins made by an existing coin that the holders or stalkers or lookers of said token/coin get the airdropped amount after doing the form and sometimes without any forms. Those are all mostly legit. It’s that there will Always be mimic airdrops for these Airdrops. I also found this to be true for the ICO airdrops o joined and I joined from ALL kinds of places from recent posts on websites to on telegram groups of the top or most people in them same for Facebook groups Twitter accounts and o direct websites. From forms in telegram being most prevalent then Google docs was 1 in 20 used Google docs forms which was the form I used for the Yetu tokens I received the 1 of 130 odd I joined with the 7 I joined in LAToken not in this count as they always came though. The other airdrops that work are CMCs  and their learn section gives $0.01-$1 maybe so that’s worth following but you need a Binance account which can be a spot only/no kyc needed.

Also it’s that this area is always being used and abused. And we the consumers can’t see the difference between the two or one that is good and one that may have bad intentions or at best the intentions are based on if and how much people will adopt the new token and then if it picks up amd pre sales work they out the ETH or USDC or whatever into the project and then if there is a legitimate time frame set when main launch comes and it’s listed to any exchange even the pancake swap then, if it makes it that far then those that pre sale purchases will be able to make a nice return and then it’s up to the devs to keep it going for the services or use case it has and the business plan which can be changed anyway. It’s that it is way to easy to make free money that isn’t listed on an exhange and pretend it will be and will be worth 100x it’s value in 1 day or whatever claims are made.

Like I said anyone can make a coin of any amount in tokens for $1.50 USD (don’t know where but I know it’s true) mostly it will cost more. But now it’s never more than $100 of you do your research for a cheap token of your own to make and buy. This is why it is of a large and worth while talk on it. YES the airdrops and ICOs DO boost and get the business kickstarted with finance and it is a great business model. In which I plan to use for a company or business of my own I’ll make it and run it for a little or set it up with b2b or b2c relationships and then sell it. Atleast that’s my plan to grow my personal wealth that is at like under $1,000 right now.

I can also say airdrops like just before are great and if you want to follow them just use accounts emails and the likes that aren’t your mains unless you don’t mind. Try use only a burner number on telegram if can’t BLOCK you number from being visible to others. AND whenever you add a new contact to chat THIS ENABLES your amd their Phone number to be viewed. You can simply block it in that chat with that persons options. Just so you know. But still phone farming and even email farming is quite common place on telegram and also on any social medium to be frank. So I always use one email that is safe and high password ect 2FA and most accounts with it are 2FA but not to my mobile number to 2 emails is best!

Another security tip anf use a free VPM whenever you can or always. Try Windscribe if you don’t know where to get a free one. You get 10gb or it dropped to 2gb for 1 month. There are also new company’s offering forever free VPN which will soon be built into any device as most iPhones have but you need download a app to use. I know many know this but as we are talking about airdrops and ICOs and I mean I haven’t ever looked on this forum for them so Im not talking about this place for airdrops it was namely one social or telegram. But yea 1 of 130~ was delivered 🤷‍♀️

Can I also ask did you OR anyone reading know this much on them and have you read say a guide and or a what I experienced post on completing multiple airdrops? It’s just even if you look at “crypto scams” in a search engine or anywhere it will show things that you will have done or seen in airdrops or posted within and or around the airdrops by others hijacking posts and the likes. I mean crypto scamming has never been more prevalent. It’s why I don’t move my crypto much and I don’t even own any. When I did not long ago and I will own more in days. I’m waiting for the dip. And I use one place which I have all the options from swapping with 0 fee to exchanging it on the live market and or buying into large leverage positions. Only I don’t do that. Not a heavy or large trader I am still with very little crypto to my name. Haven’t been able to invest into my hobby or now or soon when I hit $2k will become taxable until then it’s only income taxable.

I won’t say how much but it’s under $150 and over $50 USD. It was all collected from legit airdrops like on cmc LATokens snd then most is from Binance Referal and now I’m an Affiliate with the largest % discount I can offer anyone as 41% lifetime BNB fee reduction then 30% all fee (non BNB) reduction and ugh like 20% Ref kickback or something in any previous paying referals. (Not promotion it here just saying) and I had not need to KYC or use ID just a Twitter or social with over 3,000 follows I think or 1,500 and that’s it a reason why you like to. I had some referrals of which one payed and I gained some $ under $20 in fees over the life of the kickback (3 months) or something maybe lifetime then, they have stopped if it’s lifetime. And $20 in fees as 20% of the fees that’s like $100 in fees this person payed. That’s a lot as fees are 0.1 or 0.05? On BNB And I don’t know if ETH Gas is included. I will find that one out.

Sorry getting a bit carried away here but please let me know the good places if you have them and or sources to places you have had Atleast a 9/10 payment received airdrops or airdrop success I would love to know them like I’m sure many others. I always look for them or at times. But I work for affiliate and Ref bonuses to get me started and content righting. Which I hope I can find work at a crypto news agency or a Defi crypto company that needs lots of things typer!? If that’s you let me know or is there a area here for JOBS?!??

Anyone reading let me know your experiences with Airdrops that are ICO and are social task airdrops to earn. I know one place or two LAToken and CMC learn amd airdrops seem legit. But haven’t found any other 90-100% legit airdrop announcer or yeah where to find out new websites or projects and the places to start the airdrop. Still mot exactly what I came here for but if you have them sure send me some
Links but don’t send bad links! 👀

Alright that’s it for today I need to go back and read the rules and other sub info and rules or guidelines. Also late add here now and I’m pretty stoned too. Need to go swap some of my balances to coins about to go up over night, I’ll update my bags tomorrow. And I also look forward to going through the comments here tomorrow! Much love and stay positive! We are billing hard. It won’t kee going forward ever but the short dip will regain a Bull. Atleast the main market will. So just Buy or DCA and HODL!

New to the forum here Atleast for heavier use and learning etc noob questions
by
CryptoCreateure
on 07/11/2021, 09:49:56 UTC
Firstly wanted to say hi again and give you all a little run down on my history within cryptocurrency and learning blockchain tech to also my learning of financial markets and things like how to read bar charts to how to read businesses finacial statements and economic statements for country’s forecasts and that side of economics. Learning heaps every day and I’m not doing formal education rather learning things that vary day to day mostly it’s on the same path but after some days I may vier off onto a new subject or topics I don’t know and or want to learn and or need to learn to continue the learning of what I have learned to date.

I started back in 2015 when I first made a BTC purchase for the dark web but never used it on the dark web. I sold back for a tiny loss. However this time I noticed the price going up quite rapidly. It was under $1000 USD per BTC at this point may have been earlier than 2015. Anyway I didn’t follow or learn cryptocurrency and blockchain decentralised finance and exchanges apps and NFTs or any of the spaces and topics within crypto that there are.

Which is why I’ve posted here today. I find myself quite overwhelmed when I come onto this forum. In that there is so much and many posts on what questions I do have but I just end up using it and or reading a few posts then I don’t come back. Now however I am wanting to get involved in bounty programs as I’ve done many a airdrops of which 99% are fake or Atleast if they are advertised solely on social and or more so Facebook Twitter and telegram but I’m sure elsewhere. I completed around 130-140 of them in 3 months then I stopped and waited but the only coin 1 coin I received from all 140. Many were BSC coins of which I have heard lots of scam coins are listed and utilise BSC be it mimicking or to make a new coin that is a pump and dump or a hype coin which is really for the dev to make money and they will with cheap marketing through having airdrops and pre sales for good coins on the market that buy a coin not on the market for a price your or buyers are being told hopefully and in trust that the coin or token or project or chain will become good and you will make your money back and the funds you pay for those coins on pre sales goes into the projects costs ect. Atleast it should be like that and it is with all the Good projects.

With that and airdrops and ICO Initial coin offerings. I see many potentials and good reasons for ANY legit company or developer to use the ICO or ILO listing Airdrops and Pre sales as apart of the businesses start up. It allows for funds to be taken from investors and places into the company or pay for the services the company needs and so on. This is great on that almost any individual with ability to learn how to code lightly can make and have their own crypto and often for ridiculously low prices like I heard $1.50 USD can buy you a non exchange listed token. Not sure what chain that’s on though. So regarding this how does anyone here distinguish between legit ICOs or marketing and or pre sales and projects for them from the bad? Because to me they all look the same even looking at websites and white papers, I mean I understand how easy it is for people to copy and paste into and make some changes here and there to suit the organisation. As I see like if I counted probably 50 to 100 “Shiba” Baby, Lady, Hope, Hype, Dibba token names but their use cases are either old or something made out to be new or used in a new area.. or it’s just a “community” token and coin to be made and used by the developers of the groups right. They can make and use the coin or token in their decentralised programs or apps and what not.

Sorry but long I’ll finish up..

Community Question 1.) So we have the legit and great use case for airdrops and pre sales. But there is a big area of which this part of the processes are heavily targeted. So what is and or can be done to help slow or remove this from occurring. I know we can’t stop it completely it’s like illegal drugs and other crime. But what can or is being done to make for a better and more reliable airdrop and pre sale sector for crypto and related digital goods?

My Main Question 2.) As a nee user of this forum for a poster and commenter and likely for more research and any time I need to come here. So I’m overwhelmed with where to start and what to read first from
All the sticky’s and rules ect. I want to be sure I get the gist and I know it won’t take just one day to read them all and to actually absorb them. Rather days or weeks. Which I have time to do. At the moment I am heavily on Reddit for learning and for communicating with others in the space to compare my knowledge and study with them. But I would also post some things here also if it’s a good post with valuable information.
So the question is really what places should I start reading in the forums groupings? Should I just go top to bottom and read all the pinned messages and posts? I mean I think I just answers my question for that.. that is what I will do.

Then though where would you folks recommend I go to and or start out in? I am 3 odd years into studying and learning as owning cryptocurrency as with finacial markets economics taxation business management and my former career in digital marketing (hence my ability to sit and write decent content of the top of my head) Wink so if anyone needs Digital marketing help hit me up I will know most questions. But for here I want to not post on places where posts are heavily moderated and or that I may post things or links that aren’t allowed or topics that aren’t. I mean this place is a long tried and tested place and again for bounty hunting I wish to start doing. I will just go over all the sub topics that are pinned and the forum rules or any sub forum rules and sticky posts.

I will update this post when I have completed reading all it most rules and sticky posts. So I can make this post or this part of the post useful to anyone new wanting to know what I did which I can probably find or will find as I look around this website!

Oh yeah as I use mobile is this forum set for desktop only? Or is there a mobile web version? It doesn’t matter as it works fine but it’s the layout for the topics if it was a mobile web page it would be more in your face and not far away need to zoom in al time. So is there a mob version here? Thanks for the warm welcome and I hope to be apart of great things from learning teaching and doing things within blockchain cryptography and the cryptocurrency sector!

Do you mean something like https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=990345.0?
Are you trying to create a signed message for your account or are you trying to verify a signature of a wallet app?

Hi thank you for your assistance I’m looking first for the signing of a message with a wallet address like in the link you posted I can learn there but the other one I believe is harder to learn/do? This is also one I wish to learn how to sign Bitcoin or a transaction is it?? I’m not sure what it is but yeah the second one 😜

This blow quote was helpful for anyone new check it out! And I have checked it all
Out I just needed to ask myself it’s very confusing with multiple threads on one or two types of signing that overlap and look the same but they aren’t. Why I had to ask myself :/ but non the less I appreciate your input of these crucial links:

Hi all and thanks for having me! I can’t express how excited I am for the future of well finance! Anyway main reasons I’m here today is basically I wanted to start signing but I can’t find a comprehensive all in one guide to “getting started” and doing “your first sign” I read one the other day lol but now I can’t find .. having little trouble.
Thank you so very much ☺️

To learn what first thing you need to do here much better if you read the sticky post on Beginners Help section and click the pinne threads as show on the picture

https://i.imgur.com/lGiiua9.png

This one will really help newbies to know on what they need to do first. Also visit the section which caught your interest since the pinned threads are also helpful there. Lastly you can also search some information on google since there are some result that will show that redirect you here.

You wanted to start signing what, exactly?
It's really hard to decipher your question. Maybe you should try explaining your problem a little more detail.

Ok I’m Sorry it’s because I’m new I didn’t know what could be signed only that it was needed as POW proof of work. So this I assume is the signing of a message that has a Bitcoin address in it? Then there is the other signing where you are signing a transaction or something Huh Since I know there are multiple types of “signing” but I’m only familiar NOW with the signing a message for POW unless the other type of signing is for POW proof of work?? Thanks hope this clarity’s.

and in that respect as forum etiquette I do understand and I know I should have done more research myself, but I was compelled to ask for help as I was dumbfounded and and now I know why, there were two types of signing or more of guides on various signing types for wallets, BTC, forums, ? Can someone list the types of signing I will encounter. I do know signing is big for PoW but is BTC signing the same as wallet signing? And is Forum signing the only other type of Signing relevant to this forum/topic.

First and foremost, asking questions is a form of research so don't feel sorry for doing that but the reason many are suggesting you do your personal research is to avoid repeating of words since it has previously been tackled by other forum members. They're giving you that suggestions to minimize the relate of spam your question has potential of producing.

In my own view, I'm still yet to understand the question you're asking, signing with wallet aren't that hard to execute, some wallet will ask for your password while others pin and once you have those details you can easily access your account. The seed and private key information aren't too be used always instead stored carefu incase of future need which is most likely to be the case.
In my own view, I'm still yet to understand the question you're asking, signing with wallet aren't that hard to execute, some wallet will ask for your password while others pin and once you have those details you can easily access your account.

Ok I understand that I know I did make two topics the same basically but I have found most my questions. IF YOU READ UP I explained to one other quote what I was asking.

Basically it’s HOW TO SIGN A MESSAGE HERE OR ANYWHERE. Then HOW TO SIGN a transaction of BTC? Or is that the same thing?

It’s more I guess WHAT TYPES OF SIGNING ARE THERE... that’s what I need to know then I can search them and learn individually. When I search “signing Bitcoin” on this website it’s all the same or two different types. One is for messages the other is for transactions or something else. It’s this one that I need the help with. The other I can follow guides I have found for them. Thanks a lot all!!!

You SIR OR MISS are al Life saver! I was handed 0.2550 BTC and it was given to me on the website named Bitwave.ltd.

After asked to make wallet there. I entered bitwave to Google it goes to bitwave.io (I THINK) can’t recall o showed him screen (we were chatting on telegram I was new to that app too... anyway he said no type ltd.. why there and then got BTC address and I have to him next thing I have it in my account. The thing is IT STILL IS.. Only problem is my ACCOUNT is not Verified and you can ONLY VERIFY USING ANOTHER exchange sending BTC at 0.05 I think so $3,000 USD right now... like fuck off that’s huge to just “VERIFY” it should be THEY SEND YOUR ACCOUNT 0.0000001 BTC to verify.... or $0.13 Cents to bank and then you send it back.. whatever.... this is a BS verification!

I was CONTEMPLATING DOING IT TOO!! But this was back when BTC was $30k HA HA and the price was 0.005 BTC for verification so $300 at the time ... anyway this guy had BTC more than what he sent me and he had ETH and LTT about $18k BTC and 4K LTC and 2K ETH back in late December. HE SENT IT TO ME ASKING FOR HELP AS THIS WEBSITE BITWAVE.LTD (I THINK HE DEPOSITED AND GOT SCAMMED HIMSELF AND THEN BROUGHT ME TO THEIR SITE OF WHICH I HAVE REVIEWED IT AND FOUND IT A SCAM SITE).

So it stated he mails me after I said something of knowledge in a airdrop chat... he then mails me and I see it. Asking for help to transfer BTC to another account as HIS BITWAVE.LTD was restricted for 45 days or something from API abuse or something. I think he was being truthful and the website does have API integration and there are even videos of people auto trading on this website.. but I honestly think they are scammed or scamming.. After this he sent it. It was there like that. I had it. First I try to send to his other wallet on binance it won’t as I am new user (not verified) (he assumed I was verified or could verify by putting BTC in..) idk what he they thought.. anyway I still have the BTC 5 months later and I had 1/4 in the trading area and I even brought 1 doge playing around before it stopped my ability to move stuff or trade or swap as it was nit verified.. anyway is Bitwave.ltd the website 100% a scam?

This guy was very much hoping I would send his BTC back and I could keep the 0.0550 minus and fees. Now that is or 0.05 from another source is the BTC I would have had to pay to verify.... damn so much adds up badly and I can’t do anything with the $16k odd worth of BTC in the account. It’s let it sit there and maybe get it out if it even is or becomes a legit trading site from use that people scammed keep using and then the funds work better for it to register as a business..I have low hopes but man being that I have 0.0000000000000 BTC and no zero crypto owned or invested because I simply don’t have the finances to be able to.. I have the knowledge to I can trade crypto and Forex but the money is the problem and I just can’t margin loan it’s to risky..

Anyway yeah hope one day the feds fix this BS Bitcoin syndicate and since they are BTC in my name
I get them back when they are worth $3million I’ll have $750k~ 👀 but I’d rather have 0.255 BTC in a real balance 😓 man I need a job to buy btc .. or a job paying crypto or a means to make much crypto types that it grows a portfolio that I can learn from and then buy the ones going up and also sell one going down/re buy (short) before it goes up (long) and make money this way with profits just adding to the pile or the pile in a yield pool or other grouping that grants interest for adding your coins to the pool. Heck you can do that and mine but it’s virtually the same thing. Just much more popular.!! If someone has a coin I can use to yield farm and or that can be placed into pools for mining please DM me and hook me up!! Also I need a mentor for trading crypto.

I have some funds but I want to margin trade. I need proper advise. I CANT PAY.. but if I make profits under your instructions or mentor ship I WILL SEND CURRENCY YOUR WAY. Be it in form of a payment for services perhaps it works that well we keep going each month and I pay you $100 a month for just the documents you sent me and and updates to your newsletter which had daily breakdowns or whatever an initial contact and text contact anytime that goes to $500 after 1st month then I decide you made me my first $1 million I give you a raise and pay you 10k a month and then even more the more profits I grow with you as my main lead man.

I am a machine and I am a mathematician who can read patterns on stock market like go and stop. The timing and other readers are so important to read the same time intervals but over different times and to understand where it’s moving for each time period, this is the first things new traders will learn to see in patterns when they learn to note patterns. Like not just the 📈📊📉 or /-\|<> any of these but patterns you see occur over different charts and that are yes in a up or down tree for or perhaps up then down or down then up or flat then down flat then up and so on anyway follow your instinct. NEVER RISK MORE THSN YOU CAN LOOSE!

Thanks again OP this was what I needed to know I’m very glad this has helped countless others and if I ever see it happening again I will know this is here in bitcointalk and I’ll refer people. This is so shitZz

How can we know we are on a good platform when this shit is going on.. I mean sure there are he main ones but man.. this is why people have avoided crypto.

We need all The good WHITE HAT hackers to SHUT this shit down. If its possible??? I know they will make more but what if you weeded out the people doing it and the groups so that they stop making them and the replicas are gone so they can’t replicate them so easy.. destroy the source..!!!

The picture I saw in the main post of the pictures at the bottom there are 3 in a row the secon had a window in it on left side it had the crypto lists with their symbol. THIS WEBSITE IS completely different to the one I have coins on that are suspicious.. BUT THE CRYPTO LAY OUT AND ORDER IS EXACTLY THE SAME... why would this be.. sure I know Crypto often has an order it sits in when it’s in Max volume or Max price ect which this fake API Of a stock market for some Cryptos is there just for showS sure you can buy the crypto but what happens to it? What happens to the BTC your deposit to verify and then what happens if they lock your account they can do what they want..?? This is why I haven’t done anything suspicious to the support in the bitwave.Ltd please don’t isnt this site.. it might be real but many have had problems and I’m not depositing $3000 to verify to get out $16k that I won’t be able to... I just wonder what happens if it sits them in my account I wonder if my account is rally mine or if it’s theirs.. I mean it is theirs they own the we site so everything is theirs.. it’s like this website this post is not mine .. sure I wrote it but it’s actually owned by Bitcointalk.. and that’s just the way it is now. It’s why NFT get sold as Signed tweet not as Signed Digital Art but that’s just blah NFTs are a bit ehhh to me unless they are the Monnet burned and made digital then ok but random Cats and memes ...: man everyone want their own nee “Doge” 👀🧑🏽‍💻

Hi everyone and I’m so appreciative of this chat and the help on this forum that I can’t thank enough.

I’m not sure if this is ok to post here but I thought it is since it’s the only place I find this website that is listed here to quote the post and my experience. I don’t know if This is purely to list the exchanges or projects that are bad or scams ect or if we can ask and post questions about them if we use them or have funds there ect. As I do. If not allowed here please move this. Thank you all.

Here is my problem on The below listed BitWave.LTD. I have been sent BTC from someone who must have verified account through depositing 0.01 BTC they had more in their account as they sent me a screen shot. This was to help this person as he was “blocked from depositing to Binance (or some other known legit exchange)” for what reasons I don’t know I believe it was to do with API use ir abuse for auto trading. They had the idea to send me a random person I met after they DM me on a social platform asking if I could take a deposit but keep 20% of the BTC. I thought OK!

Then he told me about the website exchange he was on “Bitwaveltd” he asked if I had a wallet address not a Bitwave.Ltd wallet, which I did have but I didn’t use it (I wasn’t thinking nor did I know what to do as I was/am new to crypto back a few months) I thought from lack of knowledge opening an account on this exchange would make it a easy transaction (I was wrong).

They messing me and I get the account finished and send the deposit adress for BTC. I receive the BTC. I paste in his BTC adress to send to minus 20% click send, get message that I must verify the account with a deposit of 0.01btc from any exchange wallet. I don’t have 0.01BTC to do this nor the money really to deposit on bunance and then buy 0.01 BTC and deposit to verify sso I can (supposedly send this BTC back to its owner.

I have been in contact with him and he has even offered to send me the value of $0.01 BTC to my bank or offered PayPal if I wasn’t ok giving my bank details. So I don’t think he or she is behind or apart of any scams rather likely they are A victim. I just don’t want them to send that money and have it be something I then deposit or get 0.01BTC do verify bitwaveltd and loose more of their money.

So I decide I need to try and get this sorted to get the BTC back to its owner..
I researched into Bitwave.ltd when this happened and the first webpage I open was a page that reviewed and stated the site had no bad reports and it was a clean website..I also checked virus total links on its home page profile page and the exchange page. That was all fine so I figured I’ll save up and buy 0.015 BTC on binance to transfer to this website. So I’m almost there with $ and I decide to check again today and looked into the website for conscription details ect.

Today I found the supposed location on a Google maps as AUST but many review and scam sites show its USA based. FIRST RED FLAG. I found this Australian location through searching the only name within Bitwave (and it’s listed in the quoted post below) which I find a person that has a finacial role but it’s for different company/s one at the top being “Bitwave.io” not “Bitwave.ltd”. SECOND RED FLAG.. since I couldn’t find any details on bitwave LTD that’s legit or shows it’s a true business I found this post and figured I’d comment see if anyone else is having this issue or any issue with bitwave.ltd.
So I then thought I’ll search for it’s stock on global exchange. I couldn’t find any company with that name or Bit Wave or Bitcoin Wave or BTCWave or Bitwaves (there are a few bitwaves.tv .io and other dot.com types. That was the THIRD RED FLAG.

Basically hope this helps others not invest here if it is absolutely a scam as it sounds like it. Also I have one question can I get this looked into legally and say I had a good lawyer would they be able to get the BTC/$ value out of the exchange or the people responsible? Since it is still a crime.

I know it’s not likely but I figure I ask here where the best knowledge is at 😚 thanks

I found a bunch of fake websites:

You mean signing a message on your wallet and posting on the forum to show you are the owner of an account and have control of it, or you mean other form of signing please give more information on what you really want.

Both but I will use references to do so.

Signing into what exactly? Well if it's signing a Bitcoin message then you can ask it on search but if it's a comprehensive signing in on the forum then you can search everything about the forum to properly be legit on the forum I think you should read many post in the forum and understand the forum and Bitcoin or crypto-currency

I’m new to signing as a whole. And crypto but I’m learning every day and by learning I mean studying. Mostly reading and then comparing what I learn to real life markets or areas of interest I didnt understand until I learned about let’s say “DeFi” i figured it was like “HiFi” lol now I know it’s decentralised finance. But yes I am sorry that I didn’t specify exactly it’s that i Didint realise there were “signing in the forum” and “Bitcoin signing” I meant the latter initially. And when you say forum signing you don’t mean a signature on the bottom of ones profile posts? But one specific to this website and it’s forum yes?

Your message is a real rebus for us. But in any case, if you know or know about the "favorites" button, then whenever you are interested in any information on the forum, use the "add to favorites" function. In this case, you will save everyone from creating new themes by you.

Tho those grouped above thanks for the input and I have explored one topic so far. I will continue to familiarise myself with this blog and make posts or comments relevant to the topic. I am here to learn and to share things I learn along the way. I appreciate everyone’s response and it shows me I’m in the right place! Thanks for a kind and understanding welcome of sorts I will be sure to post a “newb hello” in the correct section.

Again thanks for the heads start. If there is anything else you guys can help me with (I’ll post an update in a few days about my whereabouts on the signing) if I need help I will come back to this Post to figure it out as I don’t want to make more topics just cause it’s a new thing.. and in that respect as forum etiquette I do understand and I know I should have done more research myself, but I was compelled to ask for help as I was dumbfounded and and now I know why, there were two types of signing or more of guides on various signing types for wallets, BTC, forums, ? Can someone list the types of signing I will encounter. I do know signing is big for PoW but is BTC signing the same as wallet signing? And is Forum signing the only other type of Signing relevant to this forum/topic.

Thanks again for all the posts and help it has been a learning curve and again I should have researched harder. I’m the size of the forum was and is daunting I don’t know why and I’m on my phone and it’s in desktop view. I need to get on my PC and use the forum for my best learning experience.

Basically wanted to start signing again for some minor income to help my financial situation as I have done it in the past but it was to long ago for me to know the account name and it was on old devices I don’t have anymore. Have tried all recovery options and I’m mot going to just keep guessing my account name and password I have had to many from all kinds of online areas I forget them.. I write them all down now .. I recommend others do so or have iCloud Keychain ect that’s good but it’s still not as secures as it can be. Having it in pen in a safe place is often the best place to have passwords and or other sensitive details.

Sorry off topic so can I ever sign again with bitcointalk? I see in the main thread on it that new members can’t but this was back in 2018. Has anything changed as far as signing goes? Thanks

But what a day for crypto this weekend! 19/02/2021
