Criminal Investigator onto Bittrex
by
CryptoFiction
on 11/12/2017, 22:29:17 UTC
Notice 12/14/17: The TaTT project has been canceled due to lack of interest, but the Tracking Satoshi’s Killer project is alive and well, so those who are interested should watch for postings to come regarding its release.

Track and Trap Them (TaTT) is now forming to visit Josh Davis of Bitconnect. We need coiners of all nations with skills of persuasion and the inclination to use them in a non-violent way to show him why he will call his associates at Bittrex to return everyone’s coins.

We’ve hired a Moroccan criminal investigator to track Mr. Davis and expect to be tracking his movements by late this week. All those who have participated in Tether fraud and exchange fraud and theft, beginning with the whales at the top, will be tracked, trapped, and persuaded until the wealth which has been stolen has been returned to the people. Coiners of world regions will be informed 24/7 of the objective’s whereabouts for Trapping Events.

Worldwide crypto enthusiasts are encouraged to join us to force justice. We need volunteers for security // communications // membership // surveillance, tracking, and stakeout // donations, funding, and treasury // travel and accommodations // and other duties. The TrackandTrapThem.com website will be up and running within two days. We need a security volunteer ASAP.

Trapping Events – First Draft 12-11-17 // Track and Trap Them is opposed to violence. Trapping Events will be offered to coiners who can travel and those near to the current objective for the opportunity to show him in creative, non-violent ways that it's best for his good to return the coins. We hope to offer these opportunities wherever objectives go. Information on the current whereabouts of Mr. Davis is encouraged.

Re: Who will help deal with fraud Bittrex

I think it is time to take legal action.

Okay, guys it is up to each of you to take screenshots of the balances listed at Bittrex, record the ticket number and make sure you have backups of your wallets you used to fund the exchange.  Later you may need the transaction ids from the wallets.

Bittrex, always uses the same memo on Steem when accepting Spend-to-name cryptocurrencies from a given user.   It is probable it always uses the same bitcoin and altcoin addresses when accepting from a given user.

If you are interested, please answer with "count me in" and your ticket number but take those screenshots and the transfer lists (transaction ids) of your wallet where you send to Bittrex.

Hi sdp. I'm a Bittrex victim. Same sad story as most everyone else. My Bittrex ticket # is 447023. I hope that this reply to you gets me on your "count me in" status. If not, please guide to to how to get in officially. You can very much count me in. Thanks to you and everyone else here for your good work.

Re: Bittrex is Holding My Funds - Support Not Answering - Bittrex SCAM

I'm on the same boat and I was also considering opening a thread here, but so far reports of this happening aren't all that widespread.

The difference is I've had my account for years, used them successfully in the past, always had 2FA and never had an email regarding any unauthorized login attempt. So I have no clue regarding what's happening.

The worst part of this is that now I can't even withdraw my funds, so they've basically taken my funds as a hostage... Let's see how this plays out.

PS: I've successfully managed to withdraw from falling exchanges in the past... So something's definitely wrong on Bittrex.

EDIT: other users with the same issue in recent times on the following threads:

Their thread on the forums can be found here

I'm in the same boat also. $5,300 for myself. My brother owns a Florida law firm and has offered, at no charge, to assist in arranging for a class-action lawsuit using a yet-to-be-determined lawyer in Bittrex's area -- Washington State. Anyone else interested? The longer we wait to act, the less chance that we get our coins back.

It seems that their Slack is closed. At least I can't join.

Can pm me your email? I can send you an invite.

Same disabled account problem for me too. Nothing but automated emails from their support. Can you help me to join Slack?
Thanks!

Coins Stuck in Bittrex - Please Help!
by
CryptoFiction
on 30/11/2017, 20:27:07 UTC
I disabled my Bittrex account while it was being hacked into. The coins are still there and I did a support ticket 15 days ago and all I'm getting from them is automated emails saying that they are waiting for my response after I've 2X sent what the automated emails asked for. Anyone know what's going on there and how to reach a live person there? Thanks!

Re: Should we be worried with Bitfinex?

It seems that there have been a lot of people complaining about Bitfinex. It seems that Bitfinex has been using Theters to pump Bitcoin price. Now a lot of people is shouting this might be the next MTGOX.

What is your opinion on this one?

Yes. We should be worried. BTC has been inflated by USDT proxy dollars. Altcoins are effected because they have been bought by inflated BTC.

Tether pumping BTC with USDT
by
CryptoFiction
on 18/11/2017, 00:20:41 UTC
Tether has printed at least 660,000,000 USDT's in the last couple of weeks which appear to be un-backed by $dollars and has used this to pump the BTC exchanges. Check out the article:

What is wrong with tether ? It's a good way to allo pseudo-fiat trading for altcoin exchange which doesn't have the right too. Every Tether is backed by USB and you can withdrawal your tether easier than fiat. It's a respond to a real need. You can't be a cryptotrader with a lot of movement in your bank account. Tether allow you to do this.

According to the article posted, USDT's are not backed by USD's.

Hey everyone,

Bitcoins just crashed to 5.7k, I think this is the breaking point of most people and they will panic sell.

Because of the panic sellers I assume it's gonna drop even more, do you guys agree or do you think it will stabilize any time soon?  Huh

Who knows? Everytime a BCH or altcoin rally gets started, Tether pumps gobs of their artificial USDT's into Bitstamp and Bitfinex killing the rally. Check out this article:

https://coinreport.net/tethered-to-reality/

and then look at the timing of the last BTC pumps in the last 24 hours.

At times BTC might be overpriced or underpriced, but I don't believe that the word "bubble" can apply to a limited minted crypto.

Trade futures of BTC and S2X forks?
by
CryptoFiction
on 26/10/2017, 01:26:35 UTC
Don't know exactly when this started, but at BTCC DAX you can trade (futures?) of the forked 1MB/BTC for a price of .8 BTC and the forked 2MB/BTC for the price of .2 BTC. And it appears that there's buy and sell bids at various prices.
Really interesting gamble. Anyone know if an American sending BTC to BTCC DAX is considered to be sending funds offshore?
Also, can this be an early indicator of the chances of success for either chain?

I'm relatively new to BTC and i like the Exodus wallet a lot because it has simple buttons and functions. It will hold REP, BTC, Dash, Doge, GNT, and LTC and they are soon to add DCR. With a few clicks you can trade any of these on ShapeShift right within the wallet. There's fees for trading, but that's okay for myself because I don't have the time or patience to do it otherwise.

Re: Bitcoin IS basically DESTROYED
by
CryptoFiction

Why would the fact that China is basically controlling mining do anything to Bitcoin?

The whole concept of bitcoin was based around decentralization.

If China controlls a large % of the hash power then it would only take the collaboration of a few to hit the dreaded 51% control point

This statement suggests that the Chinese are more corrupt that other nationalities. I don't believe that they are. Would you have made that statement if a large % of hash power was controlled by Americans?

Re: What are your thoughts for Bitcoin in 2017?
by
CryptoFiction
on 09/05/2017, 21:58:18 UTC
As we enter 2017, Bitcoin begins with a fresh start making it worth nearly $1000 per coin. Users, banks, and even governments are becoming more interested into Bitcoin, and its underlying technology called the Blockchain.

Now, as we progress into making Bitcoin more scalable and efficient than ever, I would like to know what are your thoughts for the pioneer cryptocurrency in 2017?

If all goes well for Bitcoin this year, it might increase its value more than $1000, as well as become closer to being used as a mainstream currency. What do you think?  Smiley

Almost everyday, my newbie-Bitcoiner elderly landlord shows me where Bitcoin is being advertised or promoted in unlikely places, such as Publisher's Weekly, and being recommended by Wall Street types and mainstream finance columnists. With our latest-thing-spreads-like-lightning digital age, i believe that we are on the threshold of a mainstream new-comer buying spree, possibly even a buying frenzy at times. I'll be surprised if the price doesn't go to $3,500 some time this year. As far as being adopted as a currency, i believe that bitcoin needs to improve its ease-of-use first. Other than Coinbase, if anyone has found a venue to buy Bitcoin easily at a fair price, then please tell me where to go.

Re: if someday the network internet totally dead .
by
CryptoFiction
on 04/05/2017, 17:06:01 UTC
what if someday when bitcoin has become the main payment instruments in the world. and how when the Internet network paralyzed. it means that we all can not perform various financial transactions? , is there any solution ?

I don't know what you understand from the word Internet but it is not a commodity or something rather it refers to inter-connectivity of computers around the world. Thousands and thousands of servers and gadgets are dedicated for uptime of this connectivity. So I can't think such situation ever occur considering Bitcoin will be main payment option. This will induce more concern and safety towards internet!!

Yes. Also consider that where there's a will, there's a way. Even if big areas of the internet were to go down, it would seem to me that this would not last long as there are so many tech-savvy people that would manage to get themselves connected and would be likely to help their friends and buddies to get connected who themselves, would be helping their friends and buddies and so on and so on.
