Bistamp is misleading or they are really stupids Smiley

Their license as payment institution (PI) is only available in...Luxembourg. This licensed cannot be passported to other all EU countries.

The Electronic Money Institution (EMI) can be passported BUT not the PI license.  Smiley

So, Bitstamp is lying like a shit or they are too stupid to know what they "bought"  Roll Eyes

In short, the Bistamp license is good but only for Luxembourg and indeed this thing will cut the Bitstamp fake transactions/volume with a half.
They will have to appoint an external auditor, they will have to comply with strict rules and it will be harder to make the shits they did till now(with the Willy bot). It's a step forward but the Bistamp is lying. They are ONLY licensed in the tiny Luxemburg and not in all the European Union Smiley

What does this mean in terms of insurance? Are customers covered for full on failure by some state arrangement? And does this formalise their banking relationship? I seem to recall they've had a few shaky moments with their banks.

Hi gentlemand,

There is zero chance of any insurance of funds. As far as i  know of any exchange that with fully insured client deposits.

Do you think that people hate bitcoins why?
Are you hate bitcoins or like it.........
But my answer is I LIKE BITCOIN.

Hi btcltccoins,

BTC is being loved since from it's start.
In modern world. Bitcoin popularity is increasing then gold. It's price is also stable then gold. Moreover you can also use bitcoin to buy stuff just like money so that is a perk that gold doesn't offer you. Smiley

Hi All,

European bitcoin exchange Bitstamp has become the first fully licensed bitcoin exchange in Europe. The license will go into effect on July 1st and marks the first time that a bitcoin exchange acquires the license as a fully regulated payment institution, in the world.

I think its great move which will have positive impact on digital currency industry globally. What is your opinion?

Thank you

i'm imagine if bitstamp become my country licensed bitcoin exchange,so far i see bitstamp have better bitcoin price than others, and its give me more profit when i'm sell bitcoin.

Hi Bittrojan,

As it is regulated under government control, is there any chance that they will have to share all their users data with government? Or impose taxes on bitcoin or its transaction

Is there some sort of insurance on funds?
- I don't know about that but probability will be high for that! , if you or anyone found more information regarding insurance please share on this thread.

Thank you
CryptoJeweler

What are you talking about ? There is zero chance of any insurance of funds. Being licenced exchange doesnt have anything to do with its funds
being secured or customer funds being insured. Where did you find any reference that would insinuate something like that?

Hi Interbtc,

Yes agreed. I also don't know of any exchange that with fully insured client deposits.
As they have faced some RNG Attacks and security concerns before that's why i just said that.

good news, but exactly, what this regulation implies?

Hi Pompobit,

Although consumers will now be able to exchange Euros for the cryptocurrency from a fully licensed bitcoin exchange.
Moreover the exchange joins the likes of Kraken and Coinbase to offer Bitcoin-Euro trading.

Thank you

thank you but this was clear to me.
What is less clear is what means to be "fully licensed". Who acts as a guarantor? Is there some sort of insurance on funds?

Hi Pompobit

Sorry for the confusion.
EU will be a guarantor as they got licence from EU officials, with the Luxembourg Financial Industry Supervisory Commission (CSSF), The EU state’s financial regulator. Moreover external audit by Ernst & Young was also performed before Luxembourg’s CSSF saw fit to grant the license to Bitstamp.

Is there some sort of insurance on funds?

A lot of people seem to think gold is the answer to all our problems. Every time the economy takes a turn for the worst, people turn to gold. {They invest in gold to hedge against these problems} If you

do not buy physical gold items/ornaments/jewelry/gold bars ... you still have ZERO protection against anything. It is just a piece of paper and a ledger entry on a private database. People seem to think

that there are tons of gold stored in secret vaults under government buildings. Is this true? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gZcRk7UClO4 { There are no proof of this and audits in the USA are about

60 years old. } You have the only entry to your investment, when you invest in Bitcoin. { The private key } The proof that it exist, is on a public blockchain....  Wink

Hi Wapinter,

Thank you for your feedback.
Important point raised by you. AT the moment The license was acquired following a “rigorous application process” that lasted nearly two years with the Luxembourg Financial Industry Supervisory Commission. No other details have been revealed about taxes on bitcoin yet.
There is chance of that but i believe bitcoin exchange will have paid for their licence and they will not compromise over decentralization.

Hi Toddrs80,

How much time a user spend on your website matter's a lot. You improve design  for your users. You can add some more things like feedback etc to build trust for your visitors. Advertising is one thing you’ll have to deal with if you’re delving into the world of Bitcoin faucets.

Hi All,

Please read below article if you have not aware of this mining malware yet.

New Malware Mines Bitcoin via Victims' CPUs and GPUs
==================================

Quote
Palo Alto Networks has discovered a unique malware family that can mine bitcoins via the victim’s CPUs and GPUs. The malware, called PWOBot, is completely written in Python and compiled via PyInstaller, generating a Microsoft Windows executable, according to a Palo Alto Networks posting. The malware has affected European organizations, mainly in Poland. A Polish file-sharing service delivers the malware.

There is a difference between transparent and incompetent.
Eurumara is pointing out inconsistencies.

Not necessary incompetent, they may be fully aware that the service they are selling isn't valuable.
Not even sure the information listed in the first post is accurate to begin with.

Hi unholycactus,

Agreed, i think it's good to stay away from this until this is not verified by the community.

Mmmmm delicious cloudmining nonsense!

Not sure if you're looking to support more cloudmining outfits, or you're directly involved, either way we'll break this down!

$189usd/TH = $888usd/4.7TH or roughly the price of an S7 w/ PSU

Maintenance fees = .0009usd/gh = $.9usd/th = $4.23usd maintenance @ 4.7th = ~$0.14usd/kwh

4.7th x .0029btc/th/day (bitcoinwisdom @ current diff) = .01363btc/day = $6.13usd/day (diminishing)

Total take $6.13 - $4.23 = $1.90/day at current difficulty and price

$1.90/day to pay off an $888 investment = 467 days if nothing changes, with the halving coming ROI is utter nonsense.

Quote
Withdrawal is available 24/7. All withdrawals are processed by our system automatically and it will be very fast to receive your Bitcoin in your wallet. But it may take a little longer for manual review if it’s a big amount to guarantee safety and avoid hacking attempts.

Scammy nonsense for "If you have a lot of BTC, anticipate BS withdrawing it"

Quote
Cloud hashing power indicates your ability to mine crypto-coins. The more hashing power you have, the more ROI you will get. Hashing power is the underlying driving force for the entire crypto-currency network. Cloud hashing power provides mining service in the “cloud” and support in the network in general.

This line is intentionally misworded, your ROI will always be a % of your investment. Of course if you invest more you earn more, but it certainly does not compound.

Quote
5.6 PH/s hashing power with the electricity cost as low as 15 cents per kWH

According to this line here, assuming they don't have some new miner more efficient than the s7, they're barely making money whether BTC, LTC, or ETH, and will fail after the halving unless the price skyrockets.

Quote
OXBTC provides the most profitable cryptocurrency deposit investment and the foundation for its high ROI is its 3 mining farms which are among the largest ones in China and they are run under very low electricity cost and highly efficient operation.

Directly contradicting the previous statement.

If they are charging ~$0.14usd/kWh maintenance (assuming s7 efficiency), and they claim to pay $0.15usd/kWh electricity, how are they still in business unless this is another fancy ponzi?

This page is full of lies [Biggest mining farm? Maybe. Where is the hashrate on the network?] and inconsistencies [200 acres for 10PH!?!? WTF do they do with the other 198 acres?] . I do not go around calling all cloudmining a scam, but they could try a lot harder!

Hi Erumara,

Thank you for your feedback.
If they are not transparent the why they disclose their mining location and their payout address?

Thank you
CryptoJeweler
