Of course it is possible to earn without referrals.  It just may take several months before you see a payout.  If you're looking to invest smaller amounts, games like ChainProfit are possibly better.  However, if you make relatively large investments (0.3 BTC+), your chances of receiving the payouts are decent, so you'll likely see a payout sooner.  Of course, the failsafe is going out and gaining referrals!

Currently it's earlier in the Doge Pyramid, so if you want to get in early then that's the place to be.  However, if you would like to use bitcoin then use bitcoin.
