I have also noticed that the "New Blocks" that are found are all extremely old?  Why would that be?  GETH is up to date.

Hi

So i managed to get this up and running first time but i am confused about a few things and thought you could help ?

1: I assume the 1% fee goes to the wallet i setup in Geth ?

2: Under the Edit "open-ethereum-pool >>payouts >>unlocker.go  and change  [ var homesteadReward = math.MustParseBig256(“3000000000000000000”) ] with your coin block reward" - What should i set my coin block reward to?  How should i decide this?

3: Is there a way to offer stratum mining?

Think this is most of the questions i have for now?

Thanks.

DCRI - Fine Tuning
by
CryptoSquad
on 19/01/2018, 21:51:49 UTC
Hi All

Could someone explain DCRI To me? I was clear on what it does when dual mining Sia+Eth, or Decred+ETH, but i just noticed i can use it when mining just ETH.

If i lower DCRI when mining just ETH, my hash rate increases (Sounds great!) but what effect does this actually have?  Other than increasing my hash rate which of course is a good thing, what does lowering the DCRI Value do?

Would appreciate any info

Thanks!

Multi Pool Miner
by
CryptoSquad
on 11/01/2018, 19:00:12 UTC
Few questions

1: anyone know if there is a Linux version of multi pool miner or Mega Miner?

2: from what I have heard it sounds great. Auto switching to most profitable coin and keeping the coins you want and auto converting the ones you don’t back to the crypto currency of your choice. What am I missing? Sounds too good to be true. Do either of them mine ETH as well as claymore for example? Am I missing a ridiculously high mining fee? What’s the drawback other than lengthy configuration? Why isn’t everyone using one of them?

Keen to hear feedback

Thanks

D3 Mining but other coins

Hi

To all the D3 miners out there, seeing as DASH just isnt profitable right now, what coins are you mining?  Whattomine shows Cannabiscoin as the most profitable but doesnt really sound like a coin i want to mine

Would love to hear your opinions?

What are peoples thoughts on Antpool?

Got a delivery of 15 D3's this morning (believe me i wish we hadn't with the current state of things!) and we want to at least try one mining dash.

Also what other coins are people mining with the D3? DASH just isnt profitable right now!

Linux nvidia drivers

Hi All

I use Cyclenerds ethminer image (https://github.com/Cyclenerd/ethereum_nvidia_miner) and its excellent

One question i have is that it uses Nvidia Driver Version: 381.22

Will i notice any performance increase if i upgrade these to the latest one's found on Nvidia's website? ( 384.90 )

Let me know

Thanks!

Think there’s a miss understanding

I’ve run the command you showed and it just shows my core and memory clock of each card

To be clear on my question

In Windows I get 30mhs per card with my custom bios

I’m Linux I am only getting 29.5 per card with the same card. Seems like the Linux driver has a slightly lower hash rate than the windows driver. I’ve heard others having that same discrepancy

The command you showed doesn’t really help? Unless I am missing something?

Hi All

Having modded my AMD bios's using Windows to about 30mh per card (180mh on a 6 card rig) I then setup linux with this driver, and i am getting only 177mhs

Does this sound normal?  Difference of 0.5 mh's per card for linux?

One thing i did notice is windows every now and then would have a dramatic drop, and then increase back to the expected speeds, where as this seems far more stable at one speed?

Thoughts on all of this?

Thanks all

to confirm the pool is reporting 0 incorrect shares.

My errors are all below 250. So assume i am safe to ignore.

Memory errors

Hi all

Can someone tell me the effect just a few memory errors will have? If claymore is not getting incorrect shares is it ok to have a few? Should I be downclocking to avoid getting any at all?

I appreciate a lot of memory errors will cause incorrect shares but if I am not getting any can I just ignore less than 75 errors a minute in a few cards?

Info appreciated!

Re: Linux Driver for [Suspicious link removed]pute 17.30.1029

So i have been running this most of the day.

Whilst its great, dual mining for Siacoin is much better with the Windows Driver.

Not necessarily for speed, but my GPU's are getting to 80 degrees with my dcri as low as 10.

On Windows i run with dcri of 15, and my GPU's sit at 72 degrees max.

However, this linux driver is much more stable for mining just ETH than it is in Windows. In Windows i get random drops for no reason at all (Good temps, good volts etc), but on Linux i dont get that at all.

Anyone else had issues with temps dual mining on this driver?

(RX 580's 4GB OC Edition).

Let me know

Thanks

Hi

Sorry if this was already asked in the huge amount of pages here.

Is there a way to set the fan speed on one fan, but leave the others running automatically?

-tt -50

sets all fans to 50%

I only want to set the first one to a static figure. The rest i want to be automatic as there originally were?

Let me know!

Thanks
