I watched a YouTube video of a different technique to recoup funds if they pull a BitConnect exit style by letting the US balance rise as much as you can.  Wait until they cancel all loans and refund your coins.  People will panic sell and you wait until its pennies and use your USD balance to buy some up.  This could work assuming an exchange lists HXT or the alternative coins they may offer.

Regulation is good for the long-term.  It brings comfort to those thinking its risky and its free publicity  It MAY deter the criminal and tax sheltering individuals from using Bitcoin but it cannot be stopped.  Most countries have some policy in place that classify cryptocurrencies to ensure its something they can tax.

Make sure you have your legals in place and decide what coin you want to use.  You can see the generic examples and whitepapers with many recent ICOs but what will make yours different to drive in the interest?

I think in 2018 the coins that start working with government legislation and KYC (know your customer) protocols will do very well.  The countries that banned anonymous buying/selling of cryptos could roll into these coins.

Most governments already have wording in the tax code to report earnings from other sources like cryptocurrencies.  You can "choose" to not report and use strategies to hide income but use at your own caution as the governments always play catch up and could find out years later and audit you.  Look at all the offshore accounts in tax havens that WIKI leaks exposed putting hundreds of people in the spotlight.

I like sleeping at night, so if I make it big in crypto I'd just report my earnings and keep it legit

Agreed, the strong support and technology is good.  Maybe the new version of Verge will show some good tech advances as well.  We shall see.

It has too many features the other crypto coins already have.  I agree with the other posters in this.  Look at who they are, who is involved, can you contact them (how long did it take to respond), do they have a physical address that is not a postage box.
