BTW. As I just PM'd BEEF, I started addressing him Sir. As to me, he is like the official Knight of XBC.

Well, in defense of Mr. BEEF here... Is that he has a great sense of humor that some people seem to misunderstand.

Second of all, up to this date, he is the one who has actually come up with some of the best (and serious) long term ideas so far. Believe it or not.
So I think you just misunderstand his entertaining and refreshing cheer for lack of substance, but actually he is a pretty damn great and intelligent fellow.

Nobody.... currently aboard... is at all "responsible" for it then by your definition.
The coin is currently held up by those who actually care about it enough to work off their own free time to make something good out of it.

This will be taken forward by people who have a different sense of being responsible for the things they would like to have a future.
Or the other option is to drop the ball. And I do not blame you for it if you want to make money quickly.


Being a "supporter" and then folding out when you lack some hype-pampering by someone else who is doing all the work for you tells others a lot about the actual quality of your so called support. We actually *do* have people who see the project having a future, who work with it while having with a little longer scope.

Hello everyone!

I know great many people, most, are wondering about the future of XBC, whether devs are sticking through and things like that.

As many of you know, I've personally among few others (most notably Azor) taken some initiative in effort to re-organize BitcoinPlus community / active members and get the project back towards... you know... a future that is not "dead".

We've also had a small and semi constant influx of people who are asking us if they could give out some of their ideas they have been coming up with.
And as some of you already know also that we are soon to collect a first round of ideas from people who have told us they would love to help.

But now to the thing which inspired to create this post on the first place:
Just moments ago I was just discussing on #xbc with Oldnoob about XBC and I would like to share this to give perspective into the heads of people who cannot shake their "Plus-loving".

Oldnoob started the conversation:

The very first thought in my mind was: "Well, I truly hope we can live up to that expectation"
The first thought was slightly hesitant, but then it was strongly overridden by: "Yeah, well, why the hell not!"

I felt encouraged to just start writing from purely my own point of view:

Now, the thing is - and the point is...
That this is not the first one of these same warm toned mini-discussions about XBC I've heard. Not at all.

We've heard these kinds of small conversations every now and then while hanging around on #xbc chan.
This kind of thinking was actually quite prevalent and pretty much everywhere ever since after IPO until the point the organization stopped holding itself together.

As the way I see it, last time the organizational structure, perhaps not even the people themselves even, ended up creating ever multiplying bottlenecks pretty much everywhere: information didn't flow, creativity got stalled and it just snowballed.

I sincerely hope this time we can bring back XBC as a community based effort without those type of "control-boundaries".

So this time at least, based on the discussions with the most active people around, the active individuals are very aware of what went wrong last time and how to avoid those mistakes again by redesigning it open, transparent, creative and actionable. (Let's hope for some epic ideas too! )

I would like to continue the math a little.

What I'm not sure if you calculated correctly is the total hour count as MP takes the winner in in the evening (UTC/GMT). So I think the correct hour count is 190+ hours.
So they are currently doing 32.25 more votes on average based on last 16 hours... Is 6697,5 - 5114 = 1583,5

1583,5 / 190 = 8.33

So, right now the keep us winning, the difference we need to generate is > 8.33 votes / hour.


The good news is...

The voting effort last couple days has been extremely lazy.

Could we all just put some alarms every 1 hour when you are near your devices for next week?
- Sure we can! I currently use Pomodoro Android app to give me a ring every 1 hour.
It provides a handy pause period which can be used so you won't get a nasty lag in couple hours from the accumulated time of voting activity on top of that 60 min - Highly recommended!

We HAVE already done the required voting in the past. It's not strange to us, but requires everyone to participate on their own behalf while encouraging others to join in....

Currently people are not voting much as everyone thinks #1 place is guaranteed.

This is the first step for us to build our new organization.
We'll gather a simple name list of all of you XBC supporters who have desire to help us in any shape or form regardless of your backgrounds or your commitment level.

With this list gathered we can then proceed on collecting more information on your individual skills, areas of interest, work experience etc.

After this we will have a good base of actual knowledge what kind of talent and skill we have at our disposal.
We can then proceed on gathering all the ideas and vision you have so everyone will be heard.

Then we also have a nice base on what the active community wants and we can build even further with that.


So to get this process rolling, all you need to do for now is to just send a small shout "I'm in" via PM'ing me or Azorek27 here on BCT or on #xbc IRC channel.

We'll collect a simple list of your nicknames and send further details very soon!


Note that this is nothing as heavy as being an official developer, but a chance for you to contribute ideas and to let us know if you have any special talents/skills you could possibly help us with.
This is for all of us actives who have their visions/ideas to express, their skills they could volunteer to help the community etc.

Azor has his thoughts, I think, set in the right place.

It is great if we get an extra week to set the base infrastructure, do more video chatting between members, gather all the ideas and develop long term vision and ideas for real life changing innovation.

That is where the scope is and what must be done.

I invite everyone who has ideas to come discuss about them on #xbc IRC channel or PM them either to Azor or myself.


What are we doing in cryptocurrencies anyway?
Do we want to just leverage some cash for ourselves or do we want to actually use this new wonderful opportunity to use this similar to ".com boom" type opportunity to build a real community and real organization to actually develop something that helps talented individuals to make some real change?

Even though I'm personally invested into XBC some bit, I think the latter is way more important.

For those who understand the importance of having a long term scope (also in investing by the way), this is also a wonderful potential career opportunity.
As in case you didn't notice, the new XBC webpage has a section to apply into being a member to the dev team.


The next things important should definitely be gathering community together, see how you guys would love to see cryptos change the world, build the team, have some video chats etc. to really get to know each other and be more like a financial sports team in a sense.


PS. As I've been gathering voting statistics of actual progress it is unlikely that we can hold back REDD for the weekend, but if we keep voting, at least the second place is secure and we get our needed extra week for setting up the infra and have some real development towards a solid long term vision. It's a great idea to have a summary section for latest news updated the OP post!

I know how painful it is to follow many coins for example and try to catch news while having to browse pages after pages of non-update posts.


We've talked about starting a new thread once we get the whole new vision / direction in order.

A "relaunch" not really to propose to new buyers, but precisely to ease the communication through BCT and also to display that past is past so that people can focus on the new situation at hand and judge it fresh based on the current facts instead of carrying on with past mistakes etc. which sources are really no longer present.



These are the kind of ideas that will help us develop into a dynamic project with proper effectiveness etc.

I'm jotting down ideas and this one just got written down so it will be remembered, thank you!

Actually, I've never really engaged into trollbox that much because I just can't stand to watch people lying so much and so blatantly, not a very good environment to plug your mind into... At least for longer periods of time.

Environment affects your thinking, even if you didn't consciously agree.
So... better ward off if one wants to self-protect.
People influence each other more than most realize.

That goes for FUD as well as baseless hype.


I have explained the current status very well and been completely honest about it.
There is no reason to "hype" the coin yet, as the team is still going through envisioning the future organization + plans

Even as a member, as I have already written here, I don't encourage people to buy simply because we have not yet formulated new goals, the new organization structure/style and so on... I would be dishonest to do so.
Although we are currently in the middle of that very process of finding out where do we want to go from this point.

Then when that process is done, you will all have a fair chance to re-assess your personal interpretation about the situation once we actually release new plans etc.

Before that obviously, you can invest in it if it suits your risk tolerance / analysis, but that is as investing always is, on your own gut feelings.



richardn1987, if you want updates, read back to this thread for last couple Coinerz updates + mine to be informed in depth with the actual status.

When the price is peaking, trollbox spreads all kinds of hyping lies... When the prices are bottoming, people spread FUD.
Something what any rational trader would develop some sort of mental filtering against as it's true to every market anywhere.

Don't let people lie to you.
It is always a better practice to ask than just shoot out things you heard somewhere in the trenches.


PS. If you want to see XBC on Mintpal next week... Better keep voting like nuts as REDD guys vote relentlessly!
