I like you guys projects, but I will say it again, you must get them listed on masternodes.online if they are to be successful. You have promised to do this many times and not done it with GIRO. Please do it with GIRO and SNX. Getting visibility for your project is critical when so many new masternodes are being launched each day.  Thank you in advance.

Since the listing is quite expensive from what I read and since the price of both coins decayed, it's no wonder, they couldn't afford to list the coins there. And I don't think the situation is going to improve, if the swapping will only be 2:1 Giro. That won't nowhere near reduce the circulating Giro as required to push the price up. Maybe it should have been more like 10:1 Giro.

I doubt, XVG is a scam coin, but Sunerok's coding skills are questionable after two identical hacks after short time and now he even had to "borrow" code from another coin. Also telling us after the first hack, that the problem is fixed and then it turns out it isn't and the second hack happens...this leaves a bad taste and raises questions when the next hack will happen. I realize nobody is perfect and there are vulnerabilities everywhere in the internet, but people want a profit out of their investment and if things continue like this, it's always just going up a bit, then the next mess happens and prices go down again and holders are screwed, no profits for them...

Another thing: The low amount of nodes is a security issue and a sign for centralization.

The privacy also doesn't seem to be top notch for this coin.

Last but not least, i'm asking myself how Sunerok is funding himself and his team (if he really has any as it's pretty much a one-man job he's trying to pull off) as he says, there was no premine, no ICO etc. Developing a coin, creating partnerships etc. takes time and money. So who funds him, if he doesn't sit on a bunch of coins. Is it just a share of the transaction costs, securing him a stable income?

So much for the "exclusive" XVG deal with Pornhub, they go now with "Vice Industry Token" into bed (for those of you, that understand German: https://coincierge.de/2018/pornhub-liebesaffaere-vergeben-und-vergessen/)., Isn't this a breach of contract? First PH asks for 75 Mio Verge, now they jump on another crypto's horseback. Shameless dicks...

Also I am wondering where all this "great project" comments come from, probably fake accounts. I do not see anything great here, the price did pretty much nothing but tank from early on so how comes that this comments still came in then?

Wondering about that part as well. Someone (dev or his minions) most likely trying to push the coin's price with fake accounts. Hope it goes even more down to punish this shitty behavior. Pure scam this collateral increase. Mined a month for nothing, had enough to create a master node, then the increase came. Very pissed! Hope this scam project dies...

All kind day! A question - on one server it is possible to start 2 notes of Giro? If yes - as to make it?

According to "Viktor" from the Giro Discord channel it is possible to run 2 master nodes via the same VPS, but difficult to do. Also I believe it it's only possible to run 1 master node per coin as you will have to setup one each for different coins. Due to the same IP it shouldn't work to set up two master nodes for the same coin. Should you contact him and find out more, please share it here, so everyone benefits. Cutting MN costs in half would be a nice treat. Viktor suggested melbicom[.]net, this is where he claims of having successfully set up 2 master nodes via the same VPS.

Has anyone used melbicom so far? Is this VPS company legit? Google suddenly throws an "untrusted" error. I suppose this is due to the certificate being outdated (didn't experience the issue a few weeks back, when I set up an account there), but wanna be sure.

Thanks!

Price manipulation at its finest - way to show your true colors dev - just another shitcoin pump and dump scam. Good job screwing over all your current MN owners!!

Have to agree on the "screwing" part. It was hard enough for me to mine enough Zaca for a master node, now you increase the collateral and punish early adopters among your miners. This is unacceptable. I'm DEFINITELY NOT going to buy more coins just for you to dump it at a higher price, dev. Now every master node owner in his right mind will indeed dump every single Zaca. Good luck with your shitcoin!

Next Updates to GIRO Wallet:

-Add Option to disable Notifications
-Add Option to Easy create a masternode. (no more editing config files)
-Hardcoded block Explorer will be removed and it will sync with overemo block Explorer.
-Masternodes and Staking Statitics in Wallet
-3 More Skins to wallet.
-New GPU/CPU Algorithm for GIRO.
-PoW will return together with PoS.

new roadmap will be published by SnoxDJ soon, it will include dates and specific times of releasing the updates.

Have a nice Weekend.

Parn

What does that mean, new GPU/CPU Algorithm for GIRO? What benefits do you expect an algorithm change will have?

What does that mean, "PoW will return together with PoS"? So another PoW mining session before the coin goes full PoS again? Do you plan on selling additional nodes then? Tbh. I doubt Giro will survive another dump session. It's barely anything worth at the moment. How do you expect to improve the situation by increasing the number of coins in the market? Shouldn't if anything the number be reduced (burning) instead of increased for value to grow?

Do you plan on developing some real products and create partnerships with companies for GIRO to be used actively for payments? Because I don't see what benefits smaller improvements of the wallet will have on the value of the coin. We need some measures to drive the value of the coin. Otherwise it ends up a shitcoin. Due to the low current value and all the dumping some might already consider it to be one. Curious to see your road map...for now I'll continue HODLing...

@Parn: Girocoin withdrawal not possible anymore on stocks.exchange. Why? Am I now stuck on that exchange with my coins or is this just a temporary thing and they will unlock the withdrawals again soon?

Thanks!

I sent a few over to Cryptopia from MPH, no problem. [  Cryptopia Address.payment I.D. ] just in case you didn't know Wink

What is paymentID and where can I find it?

One more question, could someone help me to setup xmr-stak? For user name I enter my MPH username but I get socket disconected error.

Go to your Cryptopia login and select Deposit then select Electroneum when asked "Please select the currency you would like to deposit to your Cryptopia account.".
You will then see a QR code and below that your ETN PaymentID and ETN Address.

To withdraw ETN from your MPH wallet to Cryptopia the address format is Address.PaymentID (note the "." is needed).

Example:
Code:
etnjzKFU6ogESSKRZZbdqraPdcKVxEC17Cm1Xvbyy76PARQMmgrgceH4krAH6xmjKwJ3HtSAKuyFm1BBWYqtchtq9tBap8Qr4M.9112dcfd10bfda2046f9eb1cd1a375e252419054959b33f44031a9431acf0af6

Can't help you with xmr-stak, I never use it.

How does one get a payment ID? Does one have to create a support ticket with the exchange to request one?

Thanks!

On tinypool.com i'm only getting with my Baikal X10 half the mining speed they should have. Instead of 20 GH for both total i get only about 11.4-12. Tried with and without "extranonce" activated in the miner webinterface. Didn't notice a difference. Difficulty is set to d=8 as suggest by the pool.

Do you have an idea how I can fix this?

Thanks!

The x10 only mines 10ghs on quark bruh
tiny pool for some reason is crap. big rejects and overall problems - taking it back. after reading about setting DIFF =8 works like a charm:)

The optimum difficulty seems to be 10. Thus: c=GIRO,d=10. Extranonce seems not necessary.

I know but 2x 10 GH (as two miners) should make 20 GH. Well by now it's nearly as much, i have no clue why it took several hours to increase the speed. But by now it did. So case closed, thanks.

Anyone knows whats new/different in the new firmware V1.1? Should I upgrade, even if I have no problems with my V1.0?
A changelog would be awesome....but I guess this doesnt exist at all.

cheers
From a mail from Baikal:
Quote
If your baikal X10 works fine, you don't need to do the update.
Only have some setting about enable-nicehashsma :true
I updated and cannot see any differences anywhere.

This might fix the nicehash mining issue? Cause I haven't been able to get it connected to nicehash.

Are you guys sure setting this enable-nicehashsma: true command really helps you connect to Nicehash? It did the opposite to me and caused at least a week of down time for me. Only resetting the nicehash data via the backup feature and adding the nicehash server address, wallet etc. helped me resolving this nasty "Miner down" issue. Using the miners profitably every since on Nicehash WITHOUT enable-nicehashsma :true

Hi,

bought 2 Baikal X10 and both have the "Miner Down" issue (Miner: 111 Connection refused). Configured them, so pool data is definitely correct, tried 3 different pools by now. The miners simply won't start mining. The blue LEDs are just blinking the whole time. To exclude network issues on my side, I tried two different locations (at home and my dad's place).

Neither via DHCP nor via Static IP I could get the miners to start hashing...

Could anyone please please please help me, getting the issue fixed or I'm majorly screwed...investment down the toilet...

Mailed Baikal, but they don't answer at all...

Thanks big time!

Re: Baikal Mini Cube

Hi guys / gals

I need some assistance.

I've just got my very 1st Baikal Mini Cube.

Powered it up ...all seemed good.
Set the pools to mine to my account.
Boom Miner is down.
I've tried the obvious turn it off and on ....no good
I've tried pressing the reset button "Miner 111 connection refused"
When it 1st powers on I see a red/blue/orange light
At the moment the red light is on      / the blue light is flashing / orange light is off.

On my miner screen all there is, is this -----> Miner loading  -  Pi 7m 41s  -  Temp 51°C  -  Load 1.64

I am baikal X10, but it has become the same situation.
When turning on the power and turning it on a bit, the red lamp lights up, the blue light blinks, the green lights go out, and it becomes Minerdown.
Even if softreset is done, it will be "Miner: 111 connection refused".

How did everyone get out of this situation?

Having exactly the same issue with my new Baikal X10 miners. No solution either so far. Could anyone give helpful advice here?

Thanks!

I have the exact same problem. Got Baikal X10 here and the blue LEDs will only blink, but no miner wants to mine, which is strange as the previous owner claims to have tested the miners and confirmed them to be fully functional.

Static IPs given, Orange PI Image used, mining pools configured. Still "Miner DOWN" displayed in the web interface.

Could any one please please help me, to get these running? Mailed the Baikal support, yet didn't receive feedback (yet at least).

Thanks!

Hi, can you guys help me getting my two A5's to mine? I've updated to the latest firmware, changed the IP as the manual says, added the Nicehash pool data, but the LEDs stay dead or at least they won't turn to green. The Dashboard doesn't load, it stays in a neverending loading loop and the A5's won't mine. Any helpful expert advice would be very much appreciated as I really doubt both to be defective.

Thank you very much and best regards!
