Short answer no. The 821 will not like being told it is an 841; not even sure if it would load properly.
Are you trying to get more power out of your 821? Best bet is to play around with your voltage settings to see if you can squeeze a little more out of it.
it was a thought, i have 2-821's that I am going to start back up. I'll just mess with the settings like you said. just ordered 3 x 841's tonight. I had an issue with my coupon(s) "not existing" from my 821 pre-order back in Jan. Shot you an email.

Only sucks I grabbed 2x821's from the pre-sale batch @ $3600.00. but... thats the nature of the beast. Im not looking for ROI within a year or 2, I'm looking just to add the TH's to my farm. In 3-4 months, i will be ordering 6-10 841's. It takes money to make money. BTC is NOT going anywhere for a LOOONG time. Far greater than i will be alive.

I'll be restarting the pool in about an hour for a minor upgrade. Downtime should be minimal.
By the way the restart happened and had only a few seconds of downtime. This pool now has support for some upcoming mining hardware that will need special poolside support. Upcoming mining hardware that will require poolside support....

Agreed... I bitched about the price but that didnt stop me from buying. Btc is going to jump prob $1k before the March batches. Definitely dont wanna miss it.
