Re: Is trading Bitcoin and other alts still profitable?
by
Cryptolive
on 04/01/2018, 07:26:33 UTC
I was a trader awhile back, I want to say about a year ago now and wanted to know what the current state of the market is for the traders that are currently trading to this day? I know a lot of the current exchanges that I used for trading, such as Poloniex, are still around but aren't really being used much as before.

I wasn't able to profit much but would like to hear how people are doing these days. Thanks a ton!

Yes Poloniex is not like before. They have lost. They are not launching any coin since three months and they dropped their rank in exchanges. Try Binance, it has a lot number of coins and will be tradable like before.

Re: Poloniex trading signal FREE

We have started a poloniex trading signal group for all (free). Our signal will have an accuracy of  90% . we will be providing currently 1-5 signals. Check it on telegram. poloniexsignalsforyou
https://t.me/poloniexsignalsforyou

I dont believe in trading groups. They made those groups with newbies for their self profits. Newbies and group members are the losers here.

Re: How to trade without losses
by
Cryptolive
on 04/01/2018, 07:22:20 UTC
It is so impossible to trade without any single loss.  But the thing is we can compensate every loss thru average down. So do not trade the whole money 100%. Always trade in portion. One more thing do not trade using margin if you dont know how to manage it.

Yes I do agree with you, it is not possible to trade without even a single loss. What ever we risk will some time get us profits and some times loss. Trading is not more as risking when you ask me.

Re: Best Exchanger for 2018?

respect my question. i just want to know more about trading and study it for the most reliable and trusted exchanger.

Poloniex charges less fee compare to bittrex. But in terms of trading and coins it lacks. Binance is the best option for trading and all.

I know that it varies from people to people and their strategies but there must be some important and basic points which people tend to forget all the time .
Of course I don't want you to reveal your trading strategy but some good tips that would really help me out.

First of all, leave day trading to the bots! Go for longer term trades on recently heavily dumped coins. Don't diversify too much, and don't buy small amounts of a lot of coin. You will end up only with scraps. Concentrate on few well researched coins instead. Hunt down coins with solid, new technology and buy the dips.
And stay away from pump groups. The good ones are closed clubs with rather high buy-in price.

Yeah Day trading to bots is a good idea for making us some space to learn more about other coins but I think bots also cost much. Can you recommend any other good bot with less price than Gunbot.

Re: Turning $50,000 into 1M in 365 days- Buy and Hold possible?

As an aside, I have a buddy that did this with Verge coin, he was mining as a lark since this last summer. (helped he was a big miner).

He cashed out 1/2 for a cool million to BTC....the other half will get moved eventually for taxes ...)

I, of course, forgot about any such conversation on Verge...alas....another missed boat. (It's a frigging fleet I have of missed boats!)

Rare it is, but possible, usually with an alt pump.

Yeah half of the money goes for tax which is pathetic and I highly doubt the local exchanges pay the large amount of money to our bank accounts. Will they do?

I also do not regularly trade candles daily because this is not sustainable due to the impact of many other factors. In addition to candlestick trading you need to understand technical analysis by chart to enter the order. This takes a lot of your time.

Yes it takes a lot of time to get in at correct time by waiting for the right time to enter. Day trading involves patience and time. Day trading is a lot time consuming.

Re: Road to 0.1 btc
by
Cryptolive
on 04/01/2018, 07:04:11 UTC
this is my new project this 2018
i got 0.004 btc and i just injected it to a trading site
so here's my strategy please help me decide Smiley
1. invest it in 1 altcoin (short term/long term)
2. putting  your eggs in different baskets
which means i will divide my 0.004 and buy at least 3 alt coin (short term/long term)

what do you think?

You can't partition and invest your 0.004$ as it is less for trading. But you can invest it in one promising coin for a short period of time like one month. See now Electroneum is going to be listed on other exchanges soon.Invest in ETN and you will have sure profits for short time.

Re: Long term trading strategy: Altcoins/BTC
by
Cryptolive
on 04/01/2018, 07:01:00 UTC
When BTC drops 50% all other altcoins also losing their value in USD for 50%. If i am mistaken please correct me. I think all altcoins should keep their stable value in USD no matter if BTC goes up or down. This is very strange to me.
it is not exactly same percentage sometimes it is bigger sometimes it is smaller and rarely it is even reverse. but you are correct they get dumped whenever bitcoin price goes down.
and I say the main reason is because they are called "altcoins". they are alternative to bitcoin, which makes them not be stand alone projects.

and the other main reason is that these altcoins are purely for speculation purposes there are no other usages for them that makes the market move as one.

Quote
I just want to ask you guys what is your exit strategy from altcoins when BTC corrects in the future for example 50-75%.
if that big a correction ever happened in bitcoin then just go back to fiat!

Quote
So what is your exit strategy from altcoins if BTC for some reson goes to 0 and everything is paired with BTC?
first I would ask myself why did bitcoin go to zero!
almost all the altcoins are forked from bitcoin one way or another. and the rest have at least something in common with bitcoin. the same reason that may cause a fall to 0 in bitcoin will cause the drop to 0 in all the altcoins too!

Quote
I now there is pairs with USDT also on Bittrex. Is this another option to exit from altcoins if BTC goes really down?

I never used USDT before  Roll Eyes
it is a centralized altcoin distributed and controlled by the same company that created bitfinex. it is not wise to use it but sometimes using it temporarily may be useful.
it is shady as hell and if anything happened to bitfinex or the company it will drop to 0 in less than 5 minutes.

Yes tether is centralized but if you play with a strategy , then tether is a very useful coins. For example if  BTC went to 20000$ and you sold out and have tether. And later btc went to 10000$ then you will be having 20000$ tether as tether is almost stable for its price and you can buy 2 BTC's then.

Windows for new coins wallets and macbook for established coins as it offers good security. Maintaing two laps is not a big thing for a trader and it is common to have more than one pc for a trader.

Yes they do. And it is not much actually it is less. They are there for a purpose and the total supply of their currency  is less compare to fiat which is unknown.

Can I make passive daily income with trading?
I have little money of about 100$, Is it a good idea to start jump on Bittrex or Poloniex and
start buying alt coins for profit.

Start with Binance and bittrex. Don't go for poloniex, there are not many coins and since three months they have not launched a single coin.

What do you do after you suffer a huge loss?
If you have more money would you again take the risk and invest or would you just stop trading and try to earn in some other way?

Yes I would try again.Trading involves risk. Not only trading life has many risks. If you are not comfortable risking then you don't deserve the success.

ETH AND BTC ARE DIGITAL COIN AMBASSADOR THEN WHY OTHER COINS ARE ALSO IN RUNNING? Huh

Crypto currency is running on blockchain technology which is very useful for almost every industry. So there exists many projects on blockchain which offer cryptocurrencies in the form of tokens.

Re: How do you Panic?

Whether its bitcoin trading or altcoin trading, there is bound to come a time when your investment is getting dumped badly, and its panic time.
How do you panic? Does that really make you panic and do you take decisions that you actually regretted later? Or do you keep calm and HODL?
What makes you panic and how do you react to it?

It makes me panic when my coin keep on decreasing. It happened with Kick coin. It decreased almost about 10x times of its ICO price.

Re: Crypto Trading vs Stock Trading
by
Cryptolive
on 29/12/2017, 10:05:16 UTC
Having been doing the crypto investing and trading for 2 months now. i am well into it.
i never ever really got into stock trading much, other then long term
or day trading stocks

what is the difference between crypto trading and day trading in stocks? would one be following a similar format?
what are the similarities and differences?

look forward to all your kind replies

I've tried stock trading few years ago and that's the way I found crypto - looking for trading information. Then I found crypto trading and never looked back.
I feel myself limited on stock trading market and every new site wants KYC and so on, competing with big sharks on daily basis.
On the other hand, crypto trading is unregulated and offering much more possibilities with much less paper.

Yes I agree stock trading is not transparent. Movements are not clear and somewhat misleading. But crypto is decentralized and transparent.
