We have published a piece about the tight relationship between those major subjects. Short overview.

Would be interesting to hear some ideas, feedback, thoughts and anything else you might think about this topic.

If they kinda allow making transactions and payments by cryptocurrencies why not other altcoins that support micropayments and speedy confirmations, they can do an ICO about porn creating their own coins over the blockchain for their own business, it is better for that way if they want to shift their industry over the cryptocurrency innovation. But for me, they just have to stick to traditional mode of payments the convenience is there.

There are several porn related tokens.

The first was SexCoin back in 2014. Since then I've seen more and more stepping forward.

Even without bitcoin, porn sites are already present even in an ordinary payments. Aside from using other forms of paying. I think people were more focus on their investments rather than wasting their money with porn sites.

Anyone can use their bitcoin in any way shape or form they choose.

Although the porn industry is the biggest and probably one of the most influential in the online world, they still have to look forward and seek for new features. Same goes for gambling and other traditional industries.

I believe it is a matter of time until BTC or any other altcoin would become a standard method of payment at least as CC / PayPal

I guess some people would prefer the hassle of paying more / waiting, rather than using you credit card. But generally speaking - You're right. All ends up with the fees and the long confirmation period.

I just wonder how long would it take until paying with BTC would be as efficient and easy as using CC .

it is not really new to see this kind  of idea and  i think it could make a good hit because porn sites now are starting to accept bitcoin as their payment method to be able for their users to enjoy other privilages like buying a vip membership or premium accounts to access those high quality restricted contents that only available for paid users. it is also better that any other payment options like credit cards or paypal as it does not requires any valid information or anything hassel and stressful things.

You do have e-payment solutions, though the process is not always simple. Bank accounts / credit cards are usually involved in the process of funding it. Most of the times.

We all know that pron is one of the biggest business online and offline and with the coming of Bitcoin the industry found a good medium which many users can use without using their credit or debit cards. The use of cryptocurrency for porn services is very booming but this is now hampered by the increasing transaction cost and longer period of confirmation time the same problems affecting all of us in the Bitcoin sphere. Now, if the same problems can be solved am sure that more and more porn companies will be getting into Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies. With billions of revenues annually, the porn industry can help uplift Bitcoin to new heights.

This is a really good point.

Right now, there are several cons like the ones you mentioned - Takes too long to confirm the transaction, fees are quite high and so on.

The question is what would make those problems disappear and how would it look like 5 years from now?

i guess with the growth of bitcoin all kinds of connections will be made. porn, drugs, black markets, but also positive things. somehow its just like 'normal' currencies right? hehe. the only thing is if you offer the possibility to pay with BTC you need to automatically change the price every hour (or even minute) but f$^# it, i like porn  Wink

Well, this is quite interesting thought due to the crazy price fluctuation.

But eventually you'd probably set a USD price that may be updated every now and then.

I'll be honest I would of thought that a porn site would have started accepting Bitcoin because of the anonymous factor. I think the first porn site to adopt this will make a lot of money.

Well, the first one was back in 2014. At least the first major porn website.

Nowdays, we can see so many, small and big, who are accepting not only BTC but also other currencies.

Also, several ICOs have already launched and raised funds based on their "porn product".

I would recommend investing your time, at least the next few weeks, in research.
Having few bucks is nice, but having no clue about how it works is a problem.
Think about.

Wish you all the best !

For ETH I would recommend MyEtherWallet.

Blockchain.info is good for ETH as well.

I would start with the whitepaper and read it thoroughly. Besides that, look at the team, get into their TG group, see if the general idea of that particular ICO gets you.
