Ethereum mining pool Sparkpool shuts down all services
by
Cryptoshops
on 27/09/2021, 18:12:30 UTC
Hangzhou-based Sparkpool, which was launched in 2016, is discontinuing both its domestic and international Ethereum mining pool services.

The firm, currently the second largest Ethereum mining pool, said in an announcement on Monday that in response to regulatory changes, it has already suspended the services for new China-based mining customers following its statement last Friday.

In addition, Sparkpool said it will now suspend the mining pool services for all of its existing China-based — as well as international — customers by the end of this month.

The real-time Ethereum hash rate connected to Sparkpool has already dropped by more than eight percent over the past 24 hours as result of China's intensified crackdown over crypto mining and trading activities.

That Sparkpool is not just suspending services for home-based customers is a sign of the harsher crackdown measures taken by China, which appear to the most severe since 2017.

Crypto exchange Huobi, one of the major trading venues catering to China-based customers, also said over the weekend that it will retire all existing China-based user accounts by the end of this year.

With air drops I tend to stick to people like Coinbase  Even though they dont call them air drops they do give out small amounts of new coins which they add to their network. All you have to do is watch a few videos about the new coin they have added,  and then answer 3 questions about it. I have make around $130 from it so far

The biggest mistake anyone can do is still holding unto their altcoins when bitcoin touched 60k weeks ago and still holding strong when the fall began weeks ago, imagine someone still holding HEX token when the coin did 40x already? If you are someone like this friend I don't know what your aim is but sorry to say you are doing it wrong. Check yourself cos it's possible you are struggling with greed.

I held onto my Dogecoins for 6 years  ... it payed off in the end Smiley

China have a pretty sophisticated quantum network and if they wanted to use it to hack the blockchains they most prob could and cause a lot of problems for Bitcoin or other tech using blockchains.  If the blockchain does not change pretty quickly quantum computers will be a huge security problem in the near future.

Re: SHIB the new tough competitor to DOGE

I bought shib at the price of 0.000017 but regret market crash and i am in big loss. All big coin like Dot,Eth recovered but Shib looking so bad and not looking that again it will touch All time High.
Shib have introduce their wallet which is positive sign. Coinbase listing is also amazing, but i have leaved bith Doge and Shib now and looking for Gaming project.

Sorry you are at a loss with Shib  but with these types of coins its very risky to spend large amounts on them that is why I only  spend small amounts  which I will not miss if it never goes above what I paid for it . At the most I will spend £50 on coins like this and no more because loosing £50 will not hurt my finances.

All these replies saying not to invest in Shib   This  is how I look at coins like this , In one month I will waste at the very least £10 on sweets or drinks or something else I dont really need. We all do this, What I now dois,  if a coin like shib comes out and you can get millions for just £10 I will buy instead of wasting the money on something I dont need, at the very least you will loose the £10 which you would have done anyhow or you will gain in the future. If shib hits just 1 penny and you have over 1 million which you purchased for just £10 you will make 10k back,  and like any type of share you win some and you loose some but you wont be loosing much even if your £10 does not make a return at some point, its not as if its life savings  and its pretty stupid not to invest small amounts in coins like this because no matter what people say you just never know what happens with crypto prices in the future.

Re: What cause Bitcoin to drop up to 42k$?
by

Stock markets across the world are down and the Chinese property group called Evergrande caused the Asian markets to fail and then the US and Europe markets followed suite becuase of concerns the huge property group might go bust as they are in so much debt. Crypto also tends to follow the  stock markets around the world hence the sharp decline.
That's a bit over the top don't you think? I mean that's crazy to think that crypto follows the stock market because that means that crypto isn't as independent as we think it is because it's basing it's movement to the stock market. Probable cause for the dips in prices is probably that there's more people that's taking some profit and there's also the news of a dormant address that's started moving.

If you look at the crypto ups and downs  throughout its history it does  follow the stock markets pretty closely Here is an Item from Forbes "Bitcoin is meant to be an uncorrelated asset and this is/was a positive. However, it is clear that right now bitcoin correlates with stocks very closely

I'm not sure about SHIB to be honest. Both of these meme coins have unlimited supply. And in terms of total supply, SHIB are in a much worse situation. Because it is many times the DOGE's total supply now. And this can be a big factor which can make SHIB have a big difficulty in leaving DOGE behind in terms of the price. But we can observe any kind of movements when it comes to these meme coins. They are affected easily a lot by FUDs.

Shiba does have a limited supply unlike Dogecoin,  but it is very high and is  limited to one quadrillion

SHIB is useless and will be forgotten when Elon stops making Tweets about it. Many coins are just hyped. Hopefully people will sell before it's too late.

I think you are miss -understanding what Shiba inu is all about. While it is a meme coin have a look at their white paper, They now have shiba swap  with two other coins working along side Shiba.  Shiba is a token so unlike doge coin its a  ERC-20 token created on Ethereum. They are now looking to use the shiba token for NFTS and are allready using it in the art world and helping shiba dogs in real life through amazon smile and as they say its now become an ecosystem not just a meme coin Smiley

Here we go SHIB is now listed in coinbase which is absolutely a great news now the game changer Elon Musk might play a drama to make people fool in upcoming days, probabilities are high because that's what he did for doge coin too. Meme coin became a rockstar over a couple of months and I guess now it's the turn for SHIB coin, guys make use of opportunities it's a rare chance in my opinion go for it if you want to see you as a millionaire.
I'm not sure if Elon Musk has participated in the Shiba Inu project, another meme coin that has been so hot in the market. This project listed the known project as it was because the developers wanted it but for me, it was not enough to determine if that is a good project to invest in. Maybe they have the potential compared to Doge but if we talk about long-term investment, I'm become uncertain knowing that this is a meme coin.

This is the type of coin which you can spend £10 on and just leave and see what happens  because £10 will get you you over 1 million shib . We all spend more than £10 on rubbish every week  so why not just invest it into Shib and see what happens its not a lot of money to loose  if Shib 's price does not increase.  If it hits just 1 penny you will make around £10k for spending just £10. If you buy it through Binance you can also stake it with them,  so you can continue to grow it.

Re: How has Bitcoin Changed your life?

Bitcoin has not really helped me financially in a big way  because I sold mine way to early I also used to have a fair bit of Litecoin which I also sold way to early. Now I dont really do much with Bitcoin but my money is now mostly in alt coins or shit coins as people like to call them I now have a decent amount of money in staking coins and can happily say I am making profits from them. I doubt I will really buy much into Bitcoin again as there are now so many other coins which are both far easier to mine and stake and get a decent return back. Smiley

Not really helpful? but you are helped by alt coins in financial terms? wouldn't Bitcoin altcoins not even appear until now?
So Bitcoin is your bridge to know more about the altcoins you currently hold. Back again to the awareness of each individual, if it only refers to finance, maybe the benefits of Bitcoin will not be felt, but if you look at it from the perspective of the birth of Bitcoin, it has clearly inspired other altcoins to live.

Yes while,Bitcoin dident make me rich  it was a forefront for me getting into crypto. I mined it back in 2013 and then lost interest  and like an idiot thought it would not go anywhere. I almost lost all my wallet keys at one point because I lost interest.   When the price started to rise and it started to be more in the media and mainstream news I took notice of it again and  ended up selling what I had at the time.  Now I dont really do much with Bitcoin but I invest in a lot of staking  and alt coins so yes Bitcoin did get me into crypto in the first place and 8 years later  im still very much involved with crypto Smiley

Is Dogecoin Worth Investing?

TL;DR Dogecoin has something in common with Bitcoin and Ethereum, like the use of Blockchain and the Proof of Work consensus algorithm. However, it is quicker than Bitcoin. It makes it easier for miners to record and complete transactions, making it easier for payment to be processed. It takes about 10 minutes for the Bitcoin blockchain to ratify new blocks. However, new blocks only take 1 minute to be ratified on the Dogecoin blockchain.

Re: If Bitcoin fails, will blockchain technology lose hope?
by
Cryptoshops

One thing which will affect Blockchain technology  and maybe a lot of crypto currencies is Quantum computing which are now becoming more and more available.

"Quantum computers will destroy some of cryptographic principles behind blockchain. On the other hand, the very power of the quantum computer represents a threat to existing cybersecurity infrastructure. In particular, the quantum computer will destroy some of the cryptographic principles behind the blockchain"

Blockchain technology will have to change along with a lot of of other cyber  security  technology because if it does not,  it will become very vulnerable which could see the complete downfall of  the blockchain and crypto
