Re: Will STO survive?
by

Security token is nothing more than a normal token with additional regulations. If regulations are added to a normal token it is proclaimed to be a security token. As such, the security token is regulated by the government bodies and should be compliant with the various SEC regulations. It can also be penalized by the government bodies for not complying. So a STO is more or less the same as the ICO with added regulation to it. Because of the increased security and because of the improved credibility, this is good for the investors but it doesn't imply that the STO will always be successful. The buyer has to be responsible for his decisions and capable to access the quality of the STO he is about to invest in or otherwise he may lose his investment.

I don't know why so far I understood the security tokens this way, which is a bit different from your explanation.

A security token is one that is not essential to the usage of a product or service. They are actual financial securities, meaning your tokens are backed by tangibles like the revenue, assets, and profits of a company. Just like stocks you can trade them or keep them as you wish.
Security token offerings are financial securities because they mimic traditional shares. These types of tokens give investors some rights to the company. When you buy a share in a company, they usually carry a specific set of rights and obligations. Voting rights would be a good example here as well as shareholder dividend payouts.

And what does make an STO a real STO? The fact that it is compliant with applicable legislation on securities.

Even though an ITO or ICO is regulated that doesn't make their coin/utility token a security, they don't constitute financial securities. They don't pay you dividends.

This how I understand and how I am witnessing by following HYGH what is a security token offering. There is no product "based on blockchain" and all those ICOs bullshit. The blockchain is being used for issuing the security token that pays you dividends. Then it is up to you whether deciding to hodl and receive passive income or trade them when the price starts mooning.

Am I understanding STO wrong or?

Hello,

thanks for the inquiry! Which point exactly disturbs you? BEAT is a utility token designed as a payment means in the BEAT ecosystem and should therefore not be regarded as a speculation coin that is bought short-term with a purpose of trading it at a best price possible after the token sale.

That post was not an inquiry but rather injury inflicted on ur thread by ugly befuddling bot. I have followed ur ramblings remotely from my office and each written piece produced by the hands of yours was treated by my office staff as NSFW. I would be inclined to give support to anybody who would be filled with reason and motivation to track this company down and BEAT them up to death.
[/quote]

Well, I am quite impressed by pun alongside the moronic language in your message and all the more flattered by the interest my posts stirred in you and your whole office - hope you enjoyed tracking them :-) While the NSFW-accusation is totally untrue - so I won't even comment on it - I really admired your BEAT-intention. You might channel it into a more productive activity, though, for example, workouts, and earn BEATs.

Cheers!

Their idea is rather engaging in my opinion! Wondrous idea, a rather interesting business!  Good luck!

IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT on YOBIT

Yobit listed the BEAT token, however, we never contacted this exchange. We strongly advise against any payments there are therefore not responsible for any losses associated with transactions on that exchange. There have been multiple reports of lost funds. We are not in contact with YoBit and cannot confirm if they are using the right smart-contract. If you wish to proceed, we cannot take responsibility for that.

I have some concerns about topic „g“ in the terms & conditions of the pre-ico...
„You are purchasing Tokens solely for the purpose of receiving Services, participating in the Ecosystem, and supporting the development, testing, deployment and operation of the Ecosystem, being aware of the commercial risks associated with the Company and the Ecosystem. You are not purchasing Tokens for any other purposes, including, but not limited to, any investment, speculative or financial purpose“

Yep, it is legit. I have receieved it too. You can always double check on telegram if you don't feel sure about it. They changed the total supply of tokens and need to take the old ones out. Tokens can be swapped until the end of the sale, which is the 15th of July

 My highpoints from https://www.ccn.com/will-bitcoin-vindicate-nobel-laureate-economist-friedrich-hayek/

1. Idea that  public institutions, such as the US Fed or the ECB, are the only expression of public interest is one of the greatest misconceptions.

Idea that money creation is the exclusive prerogative of sovereign “nation-states” is one of the greatest misconceptions.

2. In 1976,  F.A. Hayek – the 1974 Economics Nobel Prize winner (Austrian School of Economics) – wrote a pamphlet titled “Denationalisation of Money“, in which he foresaw the emergence of privately issued moneys which could compete among themselves and against the governments monopolies.

The governments monopolies prevent the discovery of better methods of satisfying a need for which a monopolist has no incentive.

3. The threat of competition from private monies imposes market discipline on any government that issues currency. If a central bank, for example, does not provide a sufficiently ‘good’ money, then it will have difficulties in implementing allocations. This may be the best feature of cryptocurrencies.

Hmm... sounds interesting. Especially the findings of Mr Hayek. Probably we are on the way to private monies' marketbut there are sitll some steps to be taken in this direction. So far FIAT retains its dominance in economics. BTC has certainly made huge progress but it can't yet oust FIAT.

I guess China has influence on crypto merely because of its population, like India does. Although ICOs are banned there, this doesn't stop people from investing in projects around the globe. Right now China seems to be manipulating blockchain : first declaring it illegal and now issuing statements endorsing Ethereum and recognising the value of blockchain. Probably they want to leverage crypto to achieve heir own goals, perhaps modify it somehow
(i.e. come up with their own national blockchain that might not be decentralised).

Re: A world without Politicians

Most of the political systems in most of the countries are currupted. Government collect Taxes but in return we get very less advantages. There is a doubt about the knowledge of ministers too.

If we can introduce a common governing  system for the world without politicians I think it will be more friendly to the people. Government can be handled by group of people like this. That means same as what we do here in crypto. So there may be varities of ideas. Group of moderaters can pick the best ideas and apply them to the system. It will cut off the additional cost of maintaining ministers and will be more human friendly and real time updated.

Well, Ancient Greece used to have a system where ordinary people were allowed to vote and speak their mind. At the end of each term the people's council (elected by people themselves ) had the right to judge the ruler ( if the guy had made a mess of his job, he would be executed :-) I guess, this added to justice in the political system of the first democracy in Europe. Imagine that today's presidents would have to do the same - they would then take their duties with much more rsponsibility). As for the decientralized system governed by one government, I don't see it possible. Sounds more like a dystopy - agreeing here with the similar comments. Unfortunately, this world is corrupt and evil cannot be eliminated. One can't create a government that will be purely altruistic and take care of its  people. Don't think it's possible. All attemptsto achieve that have resulted into bloody revolutions, communism being the brightest example.

Here in Germany, the biggest food-delivery "Lieferando" has already accepted Bitcoin as a Payment method. Does something like this also exist in your country and would you use it?  Smiley
