So, since you have much more trading knowledge and BTC knowledge, what will drive BTC prices forward?
Ease of Use?
Accountability?
Profitability?
Consumer Security?
Stability?
Acceptance?

Please explain.......

I like BTC but the truth of the matter is that it is only valuable as a money laundering currency where speed, not stability has value.

But what if you are wrong and someday you will have to buy back the amount that you sold off at much higher price. The point that I want to state is that we can never so accurately predict what is going to happen next.

Well you see, I will never "have" to buy BTC back because it will never bee a NWO currency. It can't be as it is too difficult for 99% of population to get into and then risk losing because of ZERO regulation. My prediction is that it WILL test $127 within then next week and if that does not have a rally from there....LTFO because he comes the $20's.

Actually this is based on simple charting combined with ZERO positive news.

It should hit $127 within a week. I sold my remaining BTC and will be back in NEVER. BTC is a bust. NO SECURITY, NO REGULATION and at this difficulty and price, NO incentive to mine.\ Buy gold. It has been here forever and will stay here forever. It is at the beginning of another bull market.

Do NOT buy BTC until is is $183 - $195 range. It is testing its lows and does not have any support right now. It could easily drop to this level within the next week unless something positive happens.

You should have listened.............once this level breaks, here comes $127

We were going to open with MegaBigPower last year. We would have been fucked and I had electric at .08 and free warehouse space with all electic in place.

I called this 2 weeks ago and everyone here claimed I was insane. My advice is to Buy BTC now for a short term rally and then dump. When it breaks this support level it will hit $127. Currently there is ZERO incentive to mine unless you have free equipment and free electric. Right now look for every cloudhashing service to bust.

Thanks for all the advice.  I just have one point of contention regarding miners.  Miners also become more expensive when btc goes up.  That's it, just wanted to make that point.

But for the most part, I agree and will probably buy some btc.  Or maybe I'll follow Wu Tang's advice and diversify my portfolio!  hmmm Could pick up a miner and like BTC2.

But really, if the btc price goes up, I win either way.  The difference with actually having the mining equipment is the btc can be accumulated over a loner period of time.  I'd argue that a miner can produce more than btc sitting in an account.

Now if I could just find a free source of electricity.

Don't buy a miner. That is a complete waste because by the time btc goes up the only profit you will be making is for the electric company as the difficulty will be too high for your little 3000 gh miner.

Just remember the old saying "If my Aunt had balls, she would be my Uncle" but she doesn't so the "if's" in life usually don't happen unless there is some intense intervention.

What u guys can't get through your heads is that mining and speculation drove btc up. The market became flooded by miners paying for bills and converting coin into cash. That combined with never ending bad news and scamming drove the price down and now that mining is not profitable there is no demand. Everyone keeps saying "oh it's just because all the merchants are turning coin into cash" that is BULLSHIT. Nobody wants to hold coin and everyone wants and needs cash to survive. The concept of bitcoin is great but it is in a downward spiral. I am sure it may rally again on a "sucker rally" but it will NEVER see the 1K highs again until there is regulation that holds businesses accountable and gives the sender some recourse.

AND any cloud mining right now is pure PONZI. Unless you have free electric, free mining equip and free space, your at a loss.

We need a new digital currency that breaks apart from Bitcoin. Its kind of dumb to have everything depend on one thing.

It's here, they're launching 1.0 within a month & there's a chance this will topple Bitcoin, if it continues to be weak this year imo...

https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=fnunXnLdJdw&feature=youtu.be

Websites, launches etc. all being revamped atm. but it will all be pretty awesome soon.

You guys are living in a pipe dream. With no regulation it doesn't work. Any person with just a bit of common sense that gets scammed just once is done.
It has happened to more people by more scammers than anything I have ever seen in my lifetime and I am 48 so I have seen a lot. Unless you have a Federal Authority that will prosecute and help recover funds by protecting against fraud, it just won't work. I was in love with BTC until all of the scamming took place. At first it was bad but recoverable due to mining but now with zero profitability in mining the scambaggers are really at work. You have had companies with millions of dollars folding left and right with no remorse and no consequences.

I like bitcoin but believe it is dying and will be worthless. The reason is that there is ZERO security, ZERO public knowledge, ZERO advertising and ZERO good news. Combine this with Apple Pay whom basically took the btc idea and ran with it. Forget the "fiat" currency BS. The losses that the masses of btc owners have incurred over the last year would take eternity to recover. Too many scammers and with the cost of electricity and difficulty and ZERO profits, the entire attraction of btc is GONE. All the cloud miners are worthless. It's has more signs of a demise than any currency or commodity out there. I am cashing out and hitting the small cap miners.

Re: What happens to Bitcoin during an EMP / Solar Flare?

I really believe in bitcoin but I would think the best option is to convert to cash or junk silver as a means to protect your investment and maintain a spendable option. I remember during 9-11, the gov shut down all communications immediately and I remember the chaos during the blackout in the Eastern US. Both would have been troublesome situations trying to get supplies/food and pay with bitcoin whereas junk silver 90% quarter dimes halves and nickels would have still been accepted.

I do love the ease of payment with bitcoin though.

I am not trying to rain on anyone's parade. I am just being a realist because the emp or blackout WILL happen.

sure it WILL happen, because it's happened before.. but how long will that be? 10 years? 100 years? 1,000 years? the last time it happened, where it would have wiped out or electronic systems, was in the mid 1850's.. and it hasn't happened since.

I don't really care when it happens it is just the concern that I will holding a bunch a electronic shit that may not work and therefore I am screwed. Mining, spending and diversity into other assets is the only way to go. Anyone that banks entirely on e-coin which can be flicked off by the United Nations is not a realist.

Just curious, we are looking into opening a mining operation ( high scale ) but according to recent news the US just missed an EMP from the sun that would have put the US back in the 18th century. In other words it would have shorted out and melted anything electronic. At that point in time or if there was an EMP attack against the US what happens to Bitcoin? Does it immediately become worthless? You won't be able to do anything with them and if stored online they won't be retrievable as they will probably be erased when all hard drives are smoked.

I know this sounds like it can't happen but it very easily can.

Re: Have high power 6 cents kw/h warehouse - need partner with $$$ or miners
by

I figured that is the same deal that MegaBigpower is offering so it must be fair. If I am wrong, what is fair in your opinion?

Any input is appreciated.

The problem with this is anything this big is a LONG term investment.  When you talk mining hundreds of thousand of dollars the equipment needed for this is a lot.  Not to mention setup of racks, proper cooling, power cables from breakers.

You reputation isnt very high here.  If there is someone out there they might call/visit.  But most likely you will find best luck in loans or services not mining support.  As you don't need support but a partner.

My rep here might not be high but I have been in business for 15 years with 5000 customers and a distribution network that is worldwide. Also, I carry the BEST ratings available from every consumer protection agency around.

That being said, we have a 16,000 sq. ft. warehouse with HIGH POWER and all of the breakers and 95% of the wiring is in place. 3000 sq. feet will be allocated for mining. We have 80 LF of Square D electrical bus that cost about 30K to install. We are not talking extension cords but solid copper bars that carry high voltage across the warehouse.

Most will not come across this type of electrical set-up that is virtually ready to go that is providing .3 megawatts.

Yes, we do need cooling and we are also going to put in an anti-static floor to help protect equipment.

The building is well insulated and is heated for $400 per month during the cool season.

Why is that? Who would not want a huge return on their investment? If a mfg. has 1 million in top shelf surplus equipment then each party should be able to make an easy 200K per month as opposed to it sitting around and depreciating. The mfg. still retains ownership of the miners.
