i have got a email from Alpha

Hello Marttijn,

We appreciate the situation and are working our hardest to deliver the
best product possible with the resources we have available. We plan to
email all customers as soon as we have the shipping date but we are
hesitant to estimate at one at this time. We are still in the final
stages and are currently tweaking the devices to try to get the most
efficiency out of them so if everything goes as planned than it
shouldn't be much longer. We are working not only to deliver the product
our customers have ordered but we also feel it necessary to do our best
to improve it. That's all we can say right now but expect a news update
very soon.

Regards,

Alpha Technology Team

So all is well, Alpha, never break a promise or let their customers down.

Same here initial 30 days the TMiV ran at 80> now it runs at 90 and even I've seen it at 110 also in an AC room at 68, I've had to open the  miner and clean the unit it seems that some cores run way hotter than others, I think I will be redoing the thermal paste to some MX-4 type heard from other miners that the paste sometimes is not sufficient .

I have to clean my unit every month, however if you do this you void the worthless warranty , CT TMIV design is awful.

I have already taken legal action against CT, they are scums that owe me 20+ K in lost profits , not to mention that they sold a 2TH miner and I only got a 1.6 THs , with no exchange in place and also the FYI if you need to clean the water cooling in the TMIV you will void your warranty so how is one to maintenance the unit ?

The Chip when run at 1ghz will consume 800 watts, yes you can get away running on a 1000w PSU however for continuous run time (24x7) you will be putting considerable amount of load on the 1000w PSU (80%) this will impact the efficiency, and will increment the risk of PSU burnout.  When you compare it to running on a 1200 PSU you will be at 66.7% load which gives you efficiency and stable current . Which IMO if allows the unit to be run 24x7 with little risk.

A 1200W PSU seems excessive, but you might want one for overhead. I haven't pushed the Habanero up to 750GH/s yet, but the one test hashing right now at
http://eligius.st/~wizkid057/newstats/userstats.php/1CAqwaYmNn6SZbk4G3e9cXxsJ3tJVfGuzt is pulling 54.1A at 11.92V, or 645W. That last 10% might really push the power usage if you need lots of voltage, but I'd be surprised if you couldn't get away with a good 1000W supply.
Edit: I just went and measured it again as that seemed a little low, and the number is 59.1A. Sorry for the confusion.

The chip has been seen to go up to 1 Ghz  , however 1200 watts PSU is needed ... good luck

I just filled a class action , PM I will send you the details.

I have a CT IV which hashes about 1.1 thps.  That's 55% of what I paid for.  They seem disinclined to provide any satisfaction.

Are there any lawsuits pending which I might join?  Is anyone else interested in joining a class action?

How about the 1 Th/s A1 chips setup from china they are going for $3000 so yes CT offers crappy Hashrate = cash  , Hence 1.6 Th/s = 6000 + shipping ($589) and China 1Th/s with shipping included is $3000 hmmm u do the math.

More Important is what the judicial system has just done... a previous factual precedent for any other lower court ... so this means maye CT , BFL, are all up for grabs.
