Code:
ethpool:
   EthDcrMiner64.exe -epool us1.ethpool.org:3333 -ewal 0xD69af2A796A737A103F12d2f0BCC563a13900E6F -epsw x -dpool http://dcr.suprnova.cc:9111 -dwal Redhex.my -dpsw x
   you can also specify "-esm 1" option to enable "qtminer" mode, in this mode pool will display additional information about shares (accepted/rejected).

 dwarfpool:
   EthDcrMiner64.exe -epool eth-eu.dwarfpool.com:8008 -ewal 0xD69af2A796A737A103F12d2f0BCC563a13900E6F -epsw x -dpool http://dcr.suprnova.cc:9111 -dwal Redhex.my -dpsw x
   you can also specify "-eworker YourWorkerName" option.

so we should change the ETH address that clear. but then there is Redhex.my ?

i dont see where to put worker name for suprnova at all.

can anybody explain ?

Redhex.my is his username.worker for supernova

Thanks

Re: How much cash do you carry?

I very rarely carry cash. Most of the time ill have less then $5 on me at any given time(just enough to buy a coffee type of thing). Ill put everything else on the cc as it makes it easier to track what I spend my money on.

When it comes to bitcoin I keep about 0.5 in my hotwallet at any given time. Where I live there isnt really much I can buy with bitcoin so I use it more to give out a little when I find people that are interested in bitcoin(tend to give out about $5 when they show some interest).

Re: [XPM] [FASTER!] Mining PrimeCoin using DigitalOcean (VPS)

I have managed to compile it with the larger droplet thanks. If I want to move it to smaller droplets do I just have to move the primecoind file or is there more I have to move? Also is there a easy way to move it? tar it and upload it to dropbox?

Just the primecoind file.

From the directory where it is located:

scp primecoind otherdropletip:~/.

It will ask you for a password for the other instance. You should find the compiled binary in the home directory there.
Thanks got them all working with the new miner. Didn't see the post about resizing till I was done but that would have been a better way to do it.
Currently have 4 miners going here and they are each getting 155, 169, 143, 112 (All in new York) All on the smallest droplets.

Its a bad idea to grab someone else's precompiled binary.

Yeah I'm aware of that. I suppose I could fire up a droplet with 2GB of RAM temporarily, it's only 0.03 an hour. Wink

So it's definitely an out-of-memory issue?
I'm thinking of going this route too as I can't get it to work either.

I always get this when I try compiling.  Any tips?

URCE=2  -MMD -MF obj/init.d -o obj/init.o init.cpp
g++: internal compiler error: Killed (program cc1plus)
Please submit a full bug report,
with preprocessed source if appropriate.
See for instructions.
make: *** [obj/init.o] Error 4

Addressed earlier: need to build on a larger instance or remove the -O2 flag in makefile.unix.
How do you remove the -O2 flag? Sorry complete Linux noob here.

Re: How to mine PrimeCoin Mini-Guide
by

Heres how to mine primecoin in a few simple steps

1. Download the precompiled binaries or do a git clone and compile your own executables like how would be done to litecoin.

2 visit the appdata folder
Windows: press the windows key and R. After this type %appdata% and make a folder called primecoin. In this folder create the primecoin.conf file shown below.

Linux: visit the users home folder and press control and h to show hidden files. create a folder called primecoin and create primecoin.conf in that folder

primecoin.conf file
rpcuser=****username***
rpcpassword=****password***
rpcport=***any port(mine is 8001)****
gen=1

I created the primcoin.conf file in my primecoin folder (Just pasted stuff into notepad and saved in already existing primecoin folder from wallet installation).

Not sure what to put for rpcuser and rpc password. Also Not sure what to do after file is created.

I'm a complete novice at mining so any additional steps would be helpful.
user/pass for most users doesn't mean much, you can put whatever you want there. It's just if you use a program like cgminer, that's what info you put it. There's no external miners right now, so it doesn't matter much right now. Just put fill it in with whatever.

Once it's saved, this is the file that your client uses for its settings. Just start up your client and it will now mine (because of the gen=1 line in the .conf), that's it!
HOw can I tell if it's working?

Type "getmininginfo" into the Console (help>>Debug Window>>Console) If it says "generate" : true, and "primespersec" : something it is working.

primecoin would be my suggestion but in all honesty anyone can really mine it at the same time as whatever they mine. I lost like 5kh when I started to mine it as well and I'm sure I have made that back in in primecoins.

I think prime will end up on it but for now I think it is really way to soon to say yes or no I mean you can even trade the coins yet. Give it a week or two.
