Looks like a bug with Atomic Trade. If you click on the price of BTCD at coinmarketcap you will see a list of the exchanges and the price. Atomic Trade is listed with a price of $11 for BTCD while the others are all ~$1.10. That is why the average is so much higher.
Well atomic last trade api shows 0.01880000 BTC per BTCD
Someone bought some coins on that price
Maybe they know something we don't

Seems like its a bug on coinmarketcap, if you look at the details it says that the price of BTCD is 0.00440152 BTC
Seems like we're meeting a bit of resistance at 4.8k - 4.9k
Seems to me like the 5k wall is being sold off in smaller chunks, it used to be 17 BTC if you remember
now we have had 2 small "dumps" which happened now and approx. 7 hours ago and 5k only has a "wall" of about 3 BTC, just a wild guess though

I sent an email to MintPal (a new exchange) this afternoon, and was able to get them to add Gridcoin to voting. Vote here:

As a registered user, you can vote 6 times/hour. THey are also accepting 0.00005 BTC per/vote if you want to place additional votes that way.
I haven't traded on this site yet, but it seems like it runs pretty smoothly.

Don't know if anybody has mentioned this new exchange somewhere in the thread before but maybe it's a chance for Gridcoin to hit another exchange?

Haven't had much experience with exchanging yet but I think it would definitely not harm Gridcoin to spread to one more exchange, especially since the next currency to be added to the exchange is vote-based with the ability to vote every 24h I think the Gridcoin community has a fair chance of making it (at least from what I've seen so far )
