but you'd have to be dumb not to believe that wealthy individuals accumulated, pumped, and dumped BTC. The different Altcoins were also pretty obvious in that they were created to deceive folks into buying what could be the next BTC.

This is an open discussion, so your thoughts more than welcome.
Here is what i think that happened:
"A few people with a lot of money, a few brilliant ideas and the will to fuck everyone up in order to make loads more money came up with a great idea: let's create digital money, some bullshit about fighting banks, some japanese guy that doesn't really exist, silkroad for a bit.
Let's give this Bitcoin thing value by pumping the hell out of it, and let it drop on a bunch of unwanted childs that dream of getting rich with this shit.
In the Meantime we will have an organized ring of scammers ( Karpelles, cryptorush, mintpal.. etc etc .. ) that will make us even richer.
We will also have another organized ring of scammers/devs that will create new coins so we can pump and dump the hell out of them to make even more and more money.
Once this shit gets regulated we will just leave with more billions and see ya"

No it doesn't... what if bitcoin ends up becoming a worthless experiment? Just because it's scarce doesn't automatically imply that there will end up being a large demand for the coin which will cause panic buying and subsequent rally.
Seriously, gold bugs talk about how the price of gold needs to increase because of finite availability while gold bears argue that gold is a useless metal.
BTC seems even more useless to me.

Bitcoin will never level off. It's just going to keep increasing in value as more users enter the market. That doesn't mean tomorrow. It might take 20 years but eventually it will happen. There will be down trends during that time but overall it has to increase in value because of the built in scarcity.
The dollar index will continue it's rally. If you really want to go bottom fishing for currencies that have turned to dogs recently, the Canadian dollar and the Australian dollar comes to mind.
The Euro has been pretty solid all things considered, but what if the ECB caves and instills a QE policy to encourage economic growth in the Eurozone... would gold, silver, and other precious metals continue its downward momentum making new lows? Yeah probably.
My bet is on the USD right now. All dips have been bought and it's slowly but surely creeping it's way higher. Plus so many of you have entertained the notion of the USD crashing (especially when the dollar index is not even that volatile to begin with) that I feel comfortable taking a long position in USD.

Lower than what it is currently trading for. You can continue being a bull during the downtrend in price that's been going on for quite sometime, but markets do not care about logic. The market will do whatever it pleases. And with everyone rooting for a bitcoin rally... my best guess is BTC price experiences further downside. $100 - 200 
I'm fairly certain after 28 losses in a row @ 49.5%, the 29th will be a winner. I'm also fairly certain DOOG will be confronted as a cheater if this even ends up happening.
