Looks like the zetacoin-qt.exe ignores the -datadir argument. No matter what folder is provided, the data directory always defaults to the %AppData% folder.
If an invalid folder is provided the client will throw an error as expected, but if a valid folder is provided for the data directory argument, it is ignored.
It's pointing that they are at the very beginning stages of development. From the road-map perspective, they really have nothing accomplished at all. For them to be taking pre-orders on something that isn't even finalized or proven to work yet, throws a huge red flag right here. They're basically collecting money to fund the engineering development. Scariest part is that the project could fail and they can run away with your money. With a Q2/Q3 shipping schedule, that's one aggressive timeline considering how much is left to accomplish ahead of them.
If you truly believe in them, I sure hope that I'm just outright wrong here. Best of luck to you and just please be careful with these type of pre-orders.
Take Kickstarter projects for examples. A lot of companies already have their product finalize and they are just trying to get funds for manufacturing on a large scale. Even then a lot of projects would still take over 6+ months just to get the manufacturing portion part down. I would take extra precaution with Alpha Technology. The chances of them over promising and under deliver the actual product is very high.
LMFAO did a kid draw that diagram? It shows nothing useful! The fact that they are using a picture mix with some block diagram drawn from microsoft words is super sketchy. If they're an engineering company, why are they not using CAD for their drawings?
Did you follow KNC when they first started? This is a startup, not a fully fledged corporation.
I'm an engineer, it doesn't take a full fledged corporation to mock up some real designs that are supposed to be getting ready for production. Since they are taking pre-orders, one would assume that they would already move past something that takes less than 20 minutes draw a grossly simplify mock up on how the components are going to be laid out.

Just transfered my shares to AMC-TENDER, was there anything else that we need to do? Like sending Ken an email with the transaction timestamp and public bitcoin address? Similar to how we did the last transfer from BTCT to Bitfunder?
Can we update the OP to show all the current exchanges and pools available for PHS? It's pretty hard to be sorting through 40 pages for new comers.

Most people are forgetting the fact that even the BTCT site even marked the site to be in Beta. So there will be bugs and we just happened to uncover this deposit bug just today. There's not much we can do. The bidding process is over now.

My confirmation is at 2/3, let's hope I can get the coins in time before the cutoff to buy more shares!
Still nothing here. 30 minutes left.
All of my confirmations disappeared and I don't see my additional BTC anywhere. I'm guessing the system is overloaded and it'll take awhile before it is fix.

I am running aroun 4k pps myself and not a block found since 3 am. I also have the processes spread over 4 separate boxes so it has to be REALLY bad luck, or someone is just growling up all the blocks (I think BlastBob prob runs around 100k pps right now)..
Not just Blastbob .. Running 60K here.. Still finding blocks but there's still 30-100 blocks between the blocks I find.
Dwaynnmmm I'm still trying to break 1k here. No where close!

Did anyone noticed that the primecoin-gt.exe v.0.1.1 has a timestamp of 01/29/2011?
Wow just installed this one and it found a block within the first 5 minutes!

Re: [XPM] [ANN] Primecoin Release - First Scientific Computing Cryptocurrency
Is anyone else getting an internal compile error on the new main.cpp?
Did you mean the compiler itself generated an internal error on you?
I remember the days when I used to use Visual Studio.
On Ubuntu 13 on DigitalOcean, I get
g++: internal compile error: Killed (program cc1plus) Please submit a full bug report
...I'm not sure I have the env setup right (I was just using the binaries before). Is there a list of dependencies? I was using a much older bitcoin instruction set before.
You need to create a swap file, since the VPS on Digital Ocean doesn't have enough room for to run the Make
Run these commands then execute the try the make command afterwards:

Thanks for the instructions! You should add that the $10 coupon only works if we input the credit card on the OP. I missed out on it after I paid with paypal
How to buy BTC/LTC in USA. I saw some websites but wasnt sure which are the best for the US. Newbies experienced with buying BTC please reply.
Fastest method is to find someone local and buy it from them. Use sites like https://localbitcoins.com.
Another quick method is to use Bitinstant and money order, but I don't like their fees and using money order in general. So I opted for Dwolla and CampBX since it'll only cost me 25cents totally for any transaction.
This is how I did it - Setup Dwolla, buy BTC from CampBX, then transfer it to BTC-E to buy some LTC. This whole process takes a long time to get started, but I feel the most comfortable doing it this way.
Setup Dwolla - 4-5 days to get verified
Transfer Money from Bank to Dwolla - 3-4 days
Transfer Dwolla to CampBx - Instant
CampBx BTC to BTC-E- Instant only after the initial 31 day hold on the coin from tranferring externally from CampBX
Long process and painful to watch the market prices fluctuating so much when you just wanna buy some LTC right away.
