Re: Will bitcoin be banned on Philippines?
by
DREWSKIE
on 17/04/2018, 09:42:15 UTC
This news may have caused alarm to those who are not familiar with Bitcoin and how it works.  Technically, the problem does not lie to Bitcoin, but the people who used it as an opportunity to take advantage of the popularity of it. There are lots of scams reported in the Philippines like: Card Skimming and ATM fraud, Bullet in bag, Money Changer Scam.. and a lot more. The point is, banning Bitcoin is not a solution to solve the problem especially if there are people who legitimately earn money from Bitcoin. These scammers find ways to swindle for money and the least we could do is to be more vigilant and educate ourselves before dealing with investments.

May I suggest expanding insight/knowledge on how trading works, do researches on the charts and techniques that can be used in before investing.  Simply apply the basic, buy at the low price and sell with the higher price and never invest all your coins in a single project.

Re: What are the causes of climate change?
by
DREWSKIE
on 16/04/2018, 03:40:05 UTC
This is a Serious Environmental Issue. The primary cause of climate change is the burning of fossil fuels, such as oil and coal, which emits greenhouse gases into the atmosphere—primarily carbon dioxide.

And the effects are rising sea levels due to the melting of the polar ice caps (again, caused by climate change) contribute to greater storm damage; warming ocean temperatures are associated with stronger and more frequent storms; additional rainfall, particularly during severe weather events, leads to flooding and other damage; an increase in the incidence and severity of wildfires threatens habitats, homes, and lives; and heat waves contribute to human deaths and other consequences.

I don’t know how much more. My $1350 investment is worth $526.78 as of this moment. My coins were BTH, LTC, and ETH.

Bitcoin can be considered as a long term investment. And in any investment, we should be patient. Lets consider the current market performance and study the trend so we could appreciate how it works. Quoting Warren Buffet  “Risk comes from not knowing what you are doing.” Bitcoin maybe not consistent to date, but we must be patient and updated.

Re: finish college or keep playing bitcoin?
by
DREWSKIE
on 11/04/2018, 12:34:57 UTC
Right now I love bitcoin from 2106 till now and currently I'm in college but by playing bitcoin I can make a lot of money what should I do? I prefer to play bitcoin instead of college. I also realize that bitcoin will not last forever therefore I want to take advantage when bitcoin still exists.

Although Bitcoin investment is appealing and still promising.. i would advise you to stay and finish college. College is a short term investment but could give you stable job and a secure future. Bitcoin on the other hand is a good source of extra income and could augment your financial capabilities. Anyway, you could have best of both worlds.

Filipino couple amasses at least P900M in alleged Bitcoin scam

MANILA, Philippines – Police have nabbed a couple promising easy wealth through popular cryptocurrency Bitcoin, Philippine National Police (PNP) chief Director General Ronald dela Rosa announced on Tuesday, April 10.

Arnel and Leonady Ordonio were nabbed by PNP Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) operatives, the police division in charge of high-stakes and high-profile crimes.

According to Dela Rosa, the couple has scammed more than 50 unknowing investors, amassing wealth worth P900 million* in "raw capital." This means the amount of money promised to be returned is not yet included in the computation. – Rappler.com

if there are people who scam with bitcoin, The 1st impression of investors here in the philppines will look at bitcoin as scam. -_-

With the popularity of Bitcoin, people with bad intentions will take advantage of it just like what happened here in the Philippines. Filipinos tend to be swayed easily if they are promised for easy money. It is also a factor that those whoe were victimized were not familiar how Bitcoin works.

The only good side of this is that people will be more vigilant in investing in Bitcoin and they'd do more research about it.

Re: Ways to promote Bitcoin
by
DREWSKIE
on 04/04/2018, 11:50:51 UTC
if you have the benefits from bitcoin? you can promote bitcoin in many ways.

-By explaining bitcoin to others, spread the word about bitcoin and take note you must learn more about bitcoin to do this.
-If you have skills in blogging, design, video and photo editing, web design, etc. Create something different out of your skills to promote bitcoin.
-If you have business establishment try to experiment to accept bitcoin currency.

if you have any idea how to promote bitcoins just share here.

Bitcoin is quite complex. Only few are familiar on how it works.  But just like any other product, i think the most effective and practical way to promote, and it is also base from my experience, it would be thru word of mouth. Personal testament and experience can draw attention to your target market. It is also an advantage to do personal interaction when you promote Bitcoin to instantly see their reaction and you have a chance to answer/clarify their questions.

Re: what is the definition of success?
by
DREWSKIE
on 01/04/2018, 15:49:49 UTC
All the successful people in the area are people who made sacrifices. I am not talking about rich people, wealth is never a success. Wealth can only be a result.
True, the definition of success is subjective. One can be tagged as successful because of wealth, another one could be his job title or one with a simple life.
Those who are happy and contented and those who reached their goals are mainly the successful one thus, the only person who could define his success is his own self.

Re: selling bitcoin is a stupid decision ?
by
DREWSKIE
on 01/04/2018, 12:14:41 UTC
Hi guys , I  read in social media that many people are panicking its because bitcoin dropped every hour and they think they might lose their money because of that.

Price drop is now the right moment to buy bitcoin, because maybe we will not see this opportunity again. Those who panic sell are losers in the crypto world.

There will be a time that Bitcoin will not perform good, but just like in any other investment, there is a risk on everything. Bitcoin is very risky so I have this belief that one should never invest more than he is willing to to lose.

If i were those people who have Bitcoin, i will hold on to it, be patient, do research and learn the trend of it. Soon it'll pay off.

Re: How hard it is to Rank up?
by
DREWSKIE
on 31/03/2018, 12:05:40 UTC
I think all of the newbies here will answer “really really hard”...

Let me tell you something. I started joining bitcointalk ever since this new merit system was implemented. So you can probably call me as one of the “lucky” ones starting with zero merits in our pockets. The key is to research well, learn about how the world of crypto works, and learn how the system here works. By then I wasn’t that sure that I have a future here, but here I am now.

My rank is not that high, but let me tell you something. For each time you rank up, you will be so proud of yourself and so excited to get to the next rank. And everything else will follow. With this merit system, you will strive to learn, research, and create quality posts for the benefit of the community. Yes it’s hard to earn merits, but it will mold you to strive for your best.

Instead of crying about how hard the new merit system is for the newbies, why not make it a strength for you to strive. That’s what i did. Good luck newbies, don’t give up. I’m so happy I was able to get this far. I just got ranked up today as a member, but as of now I still call myself a newbie, that’s what strives me to work hard here.

Thumbs up to your quote Woterry. Your right.. Me as a newbie, so many questions popping out in my mind thinking what is this all about and what can i contribute to this community. And I'm so excited got ranked up.

Re: how can we solve poverty in the phil?
by
DREWSKIE
on 29/03/2018, 08:31:49 UTC
Philippines is a rich country, both in natural resources and skills of the Filipinos. But there are factors that hinder this country to prosper. One of which, and probably the biggest factor is corruption. . Because of corruption, funds allocated for health, education, agriculture, and other important matters cut short which affects Filipinos who deserve to get more benefits.

This problem can be solved if Filipinos are more meticulous in choosing leaders to rule this country. Those leaders who have political will to end corruption and intends to fight poverty. Those who have vision to give better education to improve everyone's status.

Billions are signed up on Facebook and i am one them..yes, it has benefits like reconnecting with my friends and families who are physically distant. It is a medium to share my thoughts and ideas and i am also aware with what is happening around the globe. It is indeed a powerful tool in social media.

But it also has its downside.. like the privacy issue, although we can manage our privacy setting, there's a lot to be done to secure the privacy of its members.

And personally, its time consuming.. everytime i log in my account i tend to be less productive. I am also aware that some posts i  see are either fake news or really non-sense. I

Maybe, i will consider deactivating my account sooner or later, for my sanity.

Re: Is the economy situation in your country that bad?
by

Is the economy situation in your country that dismal? Or this is just some fear mongering?
Actually here in Philippines the economy keeps on rising since 2017 and its on top 10 fastest rising economy in the world. Our economy is getting better. There are lots of investors from different countries, more job offers and great infrastructure/projects.So our economy here is more better than previous one.
In addition, Philippines is projected to have the fastest growing economy for 2018 among ASEAN countries. It could be the positive result of the implemented Tax Reform for Acceleration and Inclusion (TRAIN) which majority of the households benefit from it thru consumption of goods. Moreover, the taxes collected are additional funds to sustain the government's strategy to build infrastructures and help sustain the credit growth that may lead to fixed investment.

Remittances from our Overseas Filipino Workers are also big factors in helping our economy to grow and sustain its positive projection in the market.

With all these and more, i could say that my country's economy is stable and could sustain its growth.

Re: How can you be part a good change? In this world.
by
DREWSKIE
on 24/03/2018, 12:29:22 UTC
How to be part of something new? like change?

How will you change something? like? (please do give an example)

Do you believe that you be part of a good change? What is it than?

If this change pertains that applies for the good of a community or the society, it should start from us. I believe in Gandhi's saying "Be the change you want to see in this world".

I am optimistic that I could be a part of a change that will benefit our community.
