I'm sorry but you must be a mentally challenged if you don't see what Bitcoin has accomplished so far.

I wish we can have a crypto-kiddies forum for people just like you.

Basically I created this thread https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=923690.0 - it goes over my short history with Crypto/BTC.

I have a good idea of how Crypto works, basic trading, and a few other things here and there.

Requirements:
  • Willing to devote full attention to my questions and give accurate answers/tips.
  • Prove track-record - can be a reputable user on this forum or send some snaps/proof
  • English speaker
  • Skype/stable connection

Payment:
  • Option 1: Hourly rate charge - will discuss more
  • Option 2: Percentage of my earnings since I'm the one putting the capital in, obviously.
  • Payment Method: BTC or Paypal.

Thanks!

Sounds like your trading altcoins? If so step up to futures. It's more liquid, only have to monitor 1 or 2 markets, and offers leverage. jmho

Edit: NVM

Thanks for the tip.

Re: Bitreserve Raises $9.6 Million in Crowdfunding Campaign

Upping positive news! Invest in BTC people.

Bitreserve is a company that sucks money OUT of BTC. If you buy a bitreserve IOU, they have to dump the bitcoins to hedge.

If you want pegged assets that aren't IOU's and don't hurt the crypto ecosystem, buy bitassets:

http://bitsharesblocks.com/assets/market

They are collateralized by the underlying cryptocurrency themselves, and will help grow bitcoin and the entire crypto ecosystem.

Hello and thanks for bringing that to my attention Shuai Smiley

Hello everyone,

I've been getting more and more serious about crypto trading. I started off about a year back here and there. Made some money trading small amounts and getting lucky a few times.

Made some money with STR too.

I've been floating 1-5BTC for the past year or so. Putt some money in, make some profit, take my principal out, risk a percentage of the profit --> repeat --> repeat.

Today however I decided to buy around 10 thousand $ worth of BTC. Quite a step up for me, probably not for some of you, from dealing with around 5BTC(around 1500$-2000$ worth at any given time). The price is so low I couldn't resist. I plan to hold out until the price increases. Meanwhile I'm trading some other crypto with calculated risk.

I'm not too greedy so I usually get 5-10% of my principal out after I make 5-10% profit. Until I get all my principal out.

What advice do you have for somebody like me? Whatever I'm trading with I'm prepared to lose, I know that is the golden rule. I'm also curbing my greed as much as possible, I'm willing to take risks, too.

Well it seems to me, that you have done your homework and that attitude is not a risk to you.
What I would advise you to do is to take good care of 2 things.
1. records & taxes
2. your banking connection.
-->if you trade more volume in shorter timeframes, you will want to talk to your bank first and tell them beforehand or soon enough. maybe even use a seperate bank for your trading.
I had to learn that the hard way and lost some weeks of trading, because my bank accounts were frozen and all my capital was locked in by my (ex-)bank.

Thanks for bringing that to my attention. I'll get in touch with my bank ASAP.

The panic sell. Nothing more. It's the nut up or shut up moment.

Exactly.

I hope the price keeps going down - real traders will make real money.

If there's anything you should have learned by now is that BTC is robust and here to stay.

Hold your grounds gentlemen! It's time to make some real money!

Bitreserve Raises $9.6 Million in Crowdfunding Campaign
by
DXB
on 14/01/2015, 05:25:27 UTC
Bitreserve has closed its crowdfunding campaign after raising over $9m.

The final total, one of the largest recorded in the digital currency sector for a crowdfunded initiative, reached $9,620,802 (£6,363,024) after 157 investors bought 11.27% of the equity offered.

Tim Parsa, Bitreserve's president of global strategy and markets said:

"It's been a real pleasure interacting with the savvy Crowdcube and Venovate investor. Raising venture capital has been secretive and elitist for far too long. We share Crowdcube and Venovate's commitment to transparency and inclusiveness."

He went on to say he is proud to welcome so many new investors to the "Bitreserve family".

Twin platforms

The company had decided to list its equity offering on two separate platforms in a bid to ease the investment process for its members.

Crowdcube was used by UK-based members, while Venovate was the chosen platform for those who qualified as 'accredited' under US securities law.

The bitcoin storage platform, which launched the initiative in November last year, is the 100th business to reach its fundraising goal on Crowdcube. Notably, Bitreserve's total beats the previous funding record on the platform, which was £1.9m

The firm has confirmed that its capital injection will be used to expand its engineering team, increase corporate hiring and support its international expansion.

'Medieval' system

While promoting its transparency features, including live accounting of its assets and obligations to its users, Bitreserve said that the opportunity to invest in the company "should not be limited to a few wealthy individuals or well-connected venture capital funds".

In an earlier interview with CoinDesk, Bitreserve founder and CEO Halsey Minor explained that the company's decision to finance through crowdfunding platforms was a "supplement" to other fundraising efforts.

"It is also an attempt to address the limited investment opportunities available to the general public for technology companies like this," he said. "People should have a right to invest in innovation. There are so many things that are just fundamentally flawed. It's like the finance system is still medieval".

Luke Lang, co-founder and CMO of Crowdcube, commented on the campaign's success:

"Bitreserve is the first digital currency company to raise on Crowdcube and the fact that it smashed its investment target demonstrates there's real interest in the future of digital money".

I don't feel bad for wanting my principal to be more and more valuable. I am putting my hard earned money into BTC and other crypto. I don't have the skill to develop anything, nor the capital to start anything that would bring value to BTC.

I am taking a risk and I want to be rewarded for it. I don't know why you're so salty about it. There are tons of scammers and lowlives, true. But there's also people like me who would rather invest their hard earned money in BTC and not with banks or consultants.

It's not up to you or anyone to tell people what they can and can't invest in and expect earnings from.

I will never leave BTC. I actually made my biggest oder to date today. I'm in it for the long-run. All of you will look silly and sound so ignorant when BTC rebounds. What BTC has accomplished so far is incredible, this is just a hurdle Smiley.

God bless you.

Thanks, but why? Are you referring to me being optimistic and taking the risk? I do notice that alot of people are selling like crazy and spreading negative vibes through the community. I believe in BTC - the price will go up, now, in 1 week, 1month, 1year, or whenever.

And herein lies the problem. Bitcoin is a religion to you (and many others in the Bitcoin community).

I see where you're coming from. But how would I invest in something I don't believe in though? Would you?

BTC serves its purpose, the reason it was built for, there is a need for BTC. As soon as I see things differently I will happily get out of BTC.

I believe in BTC because BTC has made me money, I base my conclusion on tangible data. Not because I have a romantic relationship with BTC's sister.

I suggest trading in smaller amounts unless you can spare enough time to constantly watch the market's rises and falls.

I have the time to watch the market around 16hours/day with some hours gaps here and there.

Whack some in cold storage and trade the rest. How much to trade with you decide. If your making profit already don't let the thought of trading with more capital affect you.

Good luck!

Thank you, best of luck to you too. Generally speaking how much of your overall BTC/Crypto currency do you usually keep in cold storage? Any percentage that you feel comfortable with?

That's exactly what got me to invest 5 folds my usual principal. The risks are higher as far as losing money goes - but it's the same ball-game.

Definitely buy some Banksycoin... Definitely  Cool

Never heard of Banksycoin. Little of bit of research lead me to believe that Bankycoin, I ofcourse assume you're affiliated with them, does not have good communication/development with the community. Something that can be detrimental for a relatively new crypto. I might be wrong though. Can you link me to some charts, history...etc.? I don't see myself venturing into a new crypto unless I get a really great feeling about it.
