Chill.  There is nothing scam about it.  All you need is .003 waves for the DEX trade fee.  And sending .001 wave fee is less than a penny, so I wouldn't be that upset about it.

Myself, and 524 other people have done it in the past 4 days since the gateway opened.  It's like Bitcoin on Waves.  How do you think they got bitcoin on there?  That's a different blockchain than Wave's Scala based blockhain too.  It goes through a gateway and the ETH, BTC, FIAT, or whatever has to go through the gateway and gets stored and escrogwed, and wETH, wBTC, wUSD, wEURO tokens are issued in equal amounts to how much the address is sending!  It's awesome!  Gateway into Wave's ecosystem, the DEX, all kinds of cheap, quick transfers...

For anyone that doubts it, I suggest you try send a tiny amount of ETH into a Wave's wallet and see for  yourself.  Just click on "deposit" under "Ethereum" in the main lobby of the Chrome Liteclient for Waves.   

You can send all ETH into Waves.  It just goes through a gateway.  The gateway stores all incoming ether in 1:1 ratio, then issues you corresponding wETH tokens on Waves Platform.  You can then trade those vs any pairing on the DEX within the Waves wallet.  wBTC/wEURO/wUSD/WGR/MGO/MER/RBX/STA/PBT and so on.  You also have fiat gateways.  But yeah, you can send the wETH to any other Wave's account via their Wave's Ether address...or if you wanna cash your wETH back out , you just send it to your myetherwallet for example, and it goes through the gateway, and bingo you have your ETH again in myetherwallet.

There are many good things about both.  I love how on Wave's Platform, you can create your own blockchain token for only 1 wave, and it takes just 30 seconds or so.  You can pick how big the supply of this token will be, and how many decimals after the . all so easily.  Then you can trade it in the DEX right away, right inside your Wave's wallet vs every single asset in there, ETH, BTC, USD, EURO, many  more.  Plus they have fiat gateways in and out of banks if you want to deposit or withdraw.  It's pretty crazy how much they have in so short a time...I'd personally go with Wave's, because of ease of use, and DEX in wallet to trade, and very cheap transactions with no scaling problems.
