WOOF COIN

Since the beginning of the pandemic, pet surrendering rates have increased dramatically around the world. Waitlists for surrendering household pets have increased to a remarkable eight months as animal shelters and welfare organisations have seen an increase of 34% for animals needing help.

Typically, animal shelters are under resourced and under financed; relying heavily on donations and the volunteer efforts to assist animals.

This is where Woof Coin steps in. As avid lovers of dogs, we wanted to make a difference. Using the power of Proof of Work mining, we’ve created a coin where miners are contributing to the donation of money to animal welfare shelters. These shelters initially include the ASPCA who already have a cryptocurrency donation mechanism but with intention to expand to the RSPCA and other organizations suggested by the community.

Our aim is to put animals first and we intend on developing ongoing relationships with pet shelters to help adoption.

Coins Specifications
21 billion supply
Block 2,100,000 halving (4 years estimated)
Algorithm: KawPOW
Proof of Work

Everything works perfectly with this card except for the fan, it got loose one day and became noisy.

I'm sure there are ways to replace it, a quick Google search reveals that a replacement fan doesn't cost much neither.

On my Arch Linux 64bit desktop system, using an existing wallet form v0.4, the balance doesn't update as the blockchain is downloaded(even though under the "Transactions" tab they are shown as confirmed). Is this normal? Does update when the download is complete?

This card mines at 410 Mhash/s at stock (linuxcoin), still functions perfectly except the fan gets loud so I can't keep it in my bedroom anymore. But the fan still cools it (mines at 80c) and there are ways to fix it or replace it with other fans (water cooling?).

Newegg page:

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814161336

Comes with every thing that's in the original package.

Selling for $180 shipped (US only)!

PM if you are interested.

Is the pushpool patch being applied to useast, too?

On an unrelated observation, us/uswest is truly a super server, because it's still on "Low Load" @ 1Thash+ !

Love Node.js, so you have my 740Mhash/s.

Thanks Cheesy  We love Node as well!

IMO, the biggest new-comer blocker is the current round duration. I'm sure once we get pass round #6, more and more people will jump in. Especially in a botnet-DDoS-causing-big-pools-down time like this.

Now we know that when BTCGuild is down, everyone goes to Deepbit. 51%

I went to slush. Im waiting for this guys to finish their present block to join them. Awesome performance regarding stales: http://forum.bitcoin.org/index.php?topic=12181.0

I joined them after reading through their thread.

They have their own pool implementation with Node.js. That's two good thing in one sentence!
