He got lucky because he was able to recover his losses, not everyone are that lucky enough to recover after a loss. There are 2 valuable lesson here, don't try to recover your losses, chances are low to recover it back and another is gamble only an amount that you can afford to lose.That way, you don't need to recover your losses.
