Poloniex has just added Stratis to its list and the coin is making mad waves at the moment - worse than what Zcash managed to generate.

Ethereum is not going to die - not this year or the year after that. Y'all accept it and move on with your individual lives.

Ethereum is a coin that has refused to die even though many want it dead... maybe it's time to accept the fact that this coin has every intention of remaining at number 2.

I didn't know about bitcoins back in 2013 so I can't really say much about MtGox but what do governments around the world stand to gain by initiating a hack? They also want crypto, they are just waiting for a mass adoption.

I think a coin falls into the category of "scam coin" because its devopers are not making continous improvements, just like the DAO.

I think the general idea is that fiat will be greatly devalued that people will look for alternate currencies, they will adopt crypto and the elites will rule the world or something along that line.

The problem is that even bitcoin users believe more in fiat than btc. If they thought btc was the bomb, you will see more customers requesting that street stores add bitcoin payment options.

Bitcoin usually experiences significant price drops in the first quarter of the year so if you are waiting to buy, wait till Jan-Apr 2017.

Email service providers who intend to use blockchain technology will not use a distributed blockchain as it will go against the privacy of their customers.

Re: Are You Disappointed In Trading?

I have learnt to stick to popular sites like Poloniex, they are quite selective of the type of coins they list on their markets.
Actually in order to make profit in altcoin trading, you have to swim against the current trend - buy when everyone is selling and sell when everyone is buying.
Maybe trading against trend means entering at the end of the trend but in opposite call. If it so, the challenge of finding out the over-bought zone or over-sold zone will remain same. So, typically there will not be any significant advantage by this method in my view too as we still need same strong technical analysis.
A newbie trading against the current trend should have studied (and recorded) the 24hr high and 24hr low prices of his coin for at least three days. For day traders, it will give you an idea of the expected price range, and you will be able to roughly predict what the next price will be - especially if you dealing with an old coin. New coins are nerve-wrecking roller-coaster rides, I've learnt to keep off from them. From your short study, you can buy low and sell 'high' within that price range.

The reason investors do not take the time to study each coin before investing is because the project brief is always written in technical language and most people don't understand it. So they just invest believing the developer knows what he's doing. Zcash was very bloody. People lost big sums.

Even if you buy ZEC at $10 you might still have a loss, because at this rate ZEC might just dump down to $0.20 by Feb next year. I'm not sure any trader made profit from ZEC Well, maybe day traders
