[WTS] KnC Oct Saturn (~290GH/s) & KnC Nov Jupiter (~690GH/s)
by

Hey,

I'm thinking of selling my KnC Oct Saturn (~290GH/s) & KnC Nov Jupiter (~690GH/s).

I'm based in London so can dropoff / pickup around the area. Or alternatively ship via some company (UPS/DHL/etc).

Just trying to gauge interest, I'm not expecting a lot for them at all. Somewhere in the region of 1/2 BTC for the Saturn and 1BTC of the Jupiter. But this is all negotiable.

So if anyone has any interest let me know.

Cheers,

DanB.

Thank you, to the various posters within this thread. I think i've managed to squeeze:

Oct Saturn: from 280GH/s -> 320GH/s
Nov Jupiter: from 660GH/s -> 700GH/s

Admittedly only for a few hours. But temps, draw etc are looking quite stable.

I've seen a number of people bash others for asking simple questions. Reading the entirety of this thread takes time! A lot of time (be honest, there is a lot within). I just want to throw it out there that bashing people for not reading a +30page thread (30x20 = 600 replies) is a little eager.

Suggestion: we move the OC of KnC devices onto a wiki style page, thereby the information can be easily updated, and formed into a readable form. (Unlike ~600 fragments that we all need to interpret and join together each time a new person reads?)

//rant// (Don't even get me started on the failings of people to understand what vi is, and how to use it. They don't deserve the wiki page... (If you don't understand bash, then you shouldn't be logged into a *nix machine... Let alone be allowed to use vi. Or attempt to OC hardware that you don't fully understand)) //end rant//

Edit: (Maybe I was a little OTT with my rant, but if you read some advice from someone, they tell you to use vi (or any tool), and then when you don't get it you don't do any research yourself, just ask again in the forum/post, then that's lazy.)

Thanks for your work on cgminer Smiley

I guess the fact that many don't understand that they may not break even is a benefit for others that understand things better. It's definitely good for hardware retailers Smiley

An astute "new miner" could do some trading with their gained coins to increase their gains. (That can make a big % difference; but I know not all are able todo so.)

Also the rapid (but not stable, will probably drop $100 or so) gains in the BTC/USD price makes breaking even a lot more possible.

(I'm about 10 months in to my spending to BTC/(& alt-coins) and I'm about 25% towards breaking even, I may get there, I may not, but as long as my returns from mining are less than my electric costs I can keep things running.)

What ROI really means...

I dunno how much I am trolling here(and I didn't search the forums for a similar post), but...

ROI == Return on investment

- Is a term that implies indefinite nature, how much return do I get per X time period based upon the Y price I purchased it for. Normally expressed as a %
- (I buy shares in WizzbangCorp, they pay dividends of $1/year and their share price is $5, so my ROI is 20% per year.)

Break Even == BREAK EVEN!!!

- How long it takes to recoup your original investment. Which does relate to ROI, but it's not ROI!

-- What everyone really means when they talk about buying miner X/Y/Z and how long it takes until they Break Even.

(The aim of this post was to avoid me replying to a post that didn't have this as question (and "really trolling") and maybe mean others start to educate the rest on their misuse of terms. I can only hope.)

I am both a customer of cloudhashing.com and cex.io and both are functioning as expected.

I have automatic payouts from cloudhashing.com and manual payouts on cex.io.

The creator of Bitcoin might just create another one called Bitcoin-expansion or something, which after the main Bitcoin finished all 21 million.

I'm not so sure that he'll live for +120 years from now... Smiley

Just a small tip for anyone having issues getting them detected by cgminer, I had to use version 3.1.1 and specify many -S /dev/ttyUSB0 arguments. I've got 4 mining away while I'm at work, will get all of them running at home tonight!
How do you specify those arguments?  Can you post your commands? With x'ed out user/pass of course.

I'm running on linux like this:
Code:
/opt/cgminer/bin/cgminer -o eu-stratum.btcguild.com:3333 -u DanBUK_1 -p XXXXX -S /dev/ttyUSB0 -S /dev/ttyUSB1 -S /dev/ttyUSB2 -S /dev/ttyUSB3 -S /dev/ttyUSB4 -S /dev/ttyUSB5 -S /dev/ttyUSB6 -S /dev/ttyUSB7 -S /dev/ttyUSB8 -S /dev/ttyUSB9

A+C: Any way for us to tell when you've shipped orders by looking in the traders book? (If not, it would really be nice to have a "Shipped" column with Y or N Smiley )
