I'm having a hard time finding a shop in Europe where this motherboard is available. Have you got some links?
I was also wondering if the motherboard had to be powered by ALL 24 pin connectors or if 3 molex + 1x 24 pin is enough?
You don't need to use the 4-pin molex connectors on the motherboard when using powered risers. They are only there for the few people that may still use ribbon unpowered risers.
So why dont we all use unpowered risers when we can get power from the pci-e slots?
Because ribbon-type risers are a ROYAL PAIN to deal with compared to USB-cable-type, and you really need powered risers ANYWAY to avoid overloading the power traces on the MB even WITH the "aux power MOLEX connectors" in use if you run a lot of cards.
I am trying to setup 12x 1080ti in my B250. Should I use the mobo's "aux power molex" even if I am using 12x powered risers??
So far I got to set 7x 1080ti (4x in A slots and 3 in B slots), but I cant make windows recognize the 8th vga. The slot appears as green on boot, but Win 10 refuses to find it.
with 12 ATI i had no problem at all, after i find the correct drivers to use, i think its all about drivers
humm, I havent tested other drivers, I am using the latest one.
So, the ones who have 12x nvidia VGAs, which driver are you using??
i am on ATI, i don't know what has to be used in nvidia, if you have ati i will be happy to help you.
ohh sorry, the question wasnt for you, but for the people with nvidia cards in this thread.
probably it will be difficult to put so many equipment near
for 12 cards its perfect for more i am with you its too difficult
yea, not too hard to setup 12 cards. They are all in place already, I just need to make Win10 recognize it now.

I am having a hard time trying to make Win 10 to recognize the 8th 1080ti in my Rig. Someone said it could be the nvidia driver (I am using the latest one). What driver are you guys using?? Which one is best for multi gpu use??

Re: 12x 1080 ti mining rig. How to manage the PSUs???
3 1080 ti running at 200 watts or less will run COMFORTABLY on a EVGA G2 850 or Seasonic X-850 (yes, that IS experience, out of my B250 Mining Expert rig). You could probably push them to 220-230 watts or so without issue.
3 x 850 and a single 1000 (use the bigger supply to run 3 cards and the MB/RAM/etc) should be plenty.
4 cards even at 250 watts TDP (which is a waste, 1080 ti hashrate at 250 isn't enough higher than at 225 to justify it even on GOOD cards like the AORUS) will run comfortably on a 1200-1300 watt supply. 3xEVGA G2 1300 (or 3 x Seasonic X-1250 IF you could find them any more) would be viable for a 4-card per PS setup - and if you use the B250 Mining Expert motherboard, you don't need Add2PSU for that configuration (but that MB HAS been hard to find for a little while).
Thanks for the help. I didnt know about the B250 Mining Expert, found one available and already ordered it. I will use 3x Corsair 1200W Platinum HX1200i. I think it should be fine, right?

Re: 12x 1080 ti mining rig. How to manage the PSUs???
You have 12 x 1080 ti's and you are worried about the costs of power supplies??
So true hehe.
Well, money is limited. I need to get the maximum hashrate possible. If I go for more powerfull PSUs, I will problably need to give up on one 1080 ti. So why not try it? That's why I am asking it here.

Re: 12x 1080 ti mining rig. How to manage the PSUs???
use at least 4kw real power, not on the plug, i mean installed power not on the label on psu,
you can use 4 x 1000 w 80+ gold psu, you can use add2psu card for it,
remind it more installed power means more safe and stable power feed.
also you can use 2x 1200 watt and 2x 1000
Well, 4x 1000w PSUs is a good option, I can get those for not much more $$. So do I need to connect all 4 together with add2psu's? Am I able to do that?
And I will do the same question as the post above. How do I set the risers? All of them in the MOBO PSU or conected to the PSU of that respective VGA???

Re: 12x 1080 ti mining rig. How to manage the PSUs???
I asked for YOUR OWN experience, not some FUD you read.
We had 500 1080 Ti's 2 risers per strand.
Not a single issue.
I'm tired of all the retards spreading FUD around with no fucking real world experience. A bunch of fucking parrots that go around squawking FUD FUD FUD because they read it somewhere, not because they know something, but because they only know how to repeat anything they hear. Poly want a cracker? Poly want FUD
Good that you posted here. An opinion from someone with experience is what I need. So what do you think? Will I be able to use 6x 650w PSUs?? Or should I use less and more powerful PSUs? And how do I set the PCI Risers?? Should all off them be conected to the MOBO PSU? Or should I connect it to the same PSU of that VGA??
Btw, I will be using 12x Risers with PCIE connectors. The ones that I cant connect directly to a PCIE supply, I will use a molex adapter.

Re: 12x 1080 ti mining rig. How to manage the PSUs???
Its better getting few 1600 watt then alot of 600 watt psu looks cleaner less sockets used and dont forget to buy minimum bronze rating
well, I really dont care about all the cables and how it will look. I dont have much options to be honest. But what problems can I have if I use 6x 650w PSUs??

12x 1080 ti mining rig. How to manage the PSUs???

Hi,
First I would like to say that I've made a lot of searchs here and coudnt find a answer to my doubt.
I want to build an 12x 1080 ti rig, using the mobo AsRock H110 Pro Btc. So, I will need at least 3400w of power supply (270w, a safe margin, for each VGA + 150w for the rest).
The problem is that 1600w+ PSUs are damm expensive, and there are not much options available (in my country). So I was thinking on using 6x 650w PSU (two VGAs connected on each PSU) and 1x 750w PSU for the mobo + PCI risers.
So, will it work? Or do I really need a single PSU for all the VGAs???
