Hi guys,
I read several pages of this thread which is mostly about bugfixing, checked out the website and youtube but didn't find any:

I whish there was a manual which explains all the buttons, what exactely last, market, rule, high prices etc. are and what best practices should be used, i.e. what set of rules for specific trading strategies. Sorry I am a newbie and lost money in the hundreds for not understanding the software.

Has anyone written something similar?

Thanks,
Danman

To clear this out, cyberom is talking about Nigeria Prince scammer, not about our product.  We have nothing to do with this joke from Nigeria who violated my topic with this BS.
Ey! This is still my topic!
Ok, you contributed much more.  Wink

So just to give an update, I can confirm what eurobitcoin said. I played around with "medium risk" and "aggressive" settings. With medium I had quite a few trades a day. Setting back to aggressive instantly traded all USDs to BTCs and then did nothing. Putting back to medium it sold some BTCs right away (I guess to have some USD to trade with). Looks to me like "aggressive" means that you would put more trust in the Bitcoin price raising in the future than with "medium". Right now I would recommend the medium setting. I had the robot running for about a month now, my profit was around 13%. Had I not used the robot and just placed the whole amount in BTCs (place and hold strategy), I would have had a profit of about 24%, since BTC raised from 100$ to 124$ in this past month. But this could be due to the fact that I changed the settings a couple of times. I don't recommend you do the same. So I'll be more patient this month and go with the flow.

@eurobitcoin: Looking at the custom settings, to me it looks like the robot just compares the BTC price of MtGox and BTC-E and assumes there is a time delay between the two. Since most of the trading is still happening on Gox, a significant change in price will happen there first, BTC-E will follow a bit later. Am I right? What if major trades on BTC-E influence the price on BTC-E only? What if MtGox is no longer the main exchange and Coinbase, Bitstamp etc. gain traction? Thank you for your reply. Oh, and one more thing: Is the assumption that "aggressive" gives you more profit than "medium risk" wrong?

So let me recap: We have three people who bought the gold licence, the robot so far made one or no trade and now nothing is happening, no trades whatsoever.

Plus we have one told-you-so-guy who has not had any actual experience himself and shouldn't post things in this thread while he is welcome to read.

Maybe the robot didn't trade these days since the market on btc-e has been flat? Or maybe it isn't actually really active?
Has anoyone had any other experiences i.e. an active robot that does trade?

Thank you Derico for sharing your experience! You kept my hopes up until my license got finally set up now. I think I start to understand the guys from btcrobot Wink This is huge... A big thank you to all of them, you guys rock!
I am now able to access the member's section, I set up the trading API, the bot made a first test trade for a small amount.
Enough said, now I have to finish my task of seizing world supremacy!  Grin

Experience with BTC Robot

Hi everyone,

I bought a gold licence for 250$ for the BTCrobot at btcrobot.com, had a few mails exchanged with support and still did not get any login information for the member's section respectively the hosted robot. Has anyone actually had a positive experience, say access to the member's section and gain in automatic trading?

I know, there are several topics, but hey, I'm a newbie here, so I can't post there.

Here is what I found so far on this forum:

Aparrently SimonBelmond did, see post 28 here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=268770.0
As a newbee I think I can't even send a PM to him  Sad

I am not interested in opinions about the bitcoin robot, but in actual real experiences from other people who bought a silver gold or platinum licence.

Thank you for your posts/PM!
