Re: IS ADOPTION WHAT WE REALLY WANT?
by

damn it, i think that we all are looking for that in here, adoption is a must in here to make the price skyrocket in a few years from now, but it is something difficult to achieve, because nowadays, not even the 3% owns bitcoin.

It is very difficult since there are medias that are making information that may make the people turn against Bitcoin. We can't stop these people hating Bitcoin if we just continue on using, trading and investing on Bitcoin the price will be having a pump in the future. We don't need to wait we just need to be patient and just focus on our other investments.

I think media mainly are pro-blockchain. They post about it, educate people for free.

Re: [ANN] [ICO] Bitclave - Decentralized Search ★ November 29 ICO ★
by

i am expecting to see marketing they were doing during ICO stage

since the ICO, there is nothing about marketing

i understand that they re waiting for BASE release

but if it will be such a poor marketing after BASE, then they can not find anyone who buys CAT even at 20 cents

I think strong marketing won't give us much at this stage. The main project BASE is under development and it's gonna take time for the team to build a good product. The competitors are too powerful nowadays and this action won't affect them at all. I am sure the team understands this and has plans to advertise the project when the time comes. I am sure they have plans on it. They've been working well during this time after the ICO. I truly believe they'll go on this way.

Yes, I agree with this. Bitclave developers are more interested in developments of the products. But most of the investors want the price to rise with the help of good marketing. I think the developers are doing their work very hard. Marketing is also considered according to the weekly updates. But I think the main marketing will be done after products are completely ready. Those who are patient now will receive their reward that time.

Their marketing is representing BitClave on conferences mainly for now.

Even though they are giving positive updates about the bitclave but price is not increasing because it is because of market fluctuation. So we have to wait till the market settles and increase its price.

i agree, but it is little early for raping up marketing

once BASE is launched and marketing still sucks then I will complain along everyone else for marketing

but until then no use marketing something half complete bad for retention

we re very close to BASE release, so little more patience

What kind of marketing do you want? Paid promotions?

I don't follow your logic, but if you think adoption is a bad idea, then your best plan of action is to create your own coin and don't tell  anyone else. That way, while everyone else suffers from the curse of adoption, you will still enjoy the benefits of a coin that can be used only by you.

 Cheesy

To the OP. More adoption, more demand. You do the math.

Crisis is coming, what do you mean about your opinion ? every day have crisis of bitcoin price and bitcoin on low and high is usually happen, we do not have to faced panic about  bitcoin on low price and we never have to say crisis is coming. Always happen bitcoin on low price and some day will be back at high and good price for bitcoin. just take to see more information outside why bitcoin have low price.

I'm interested. Why it's low?

Can Altcoin & Bitcoin wallets be made compatible with USDT (or any other stablecoins)? if  no, why not find ways to make any of the available stable coin compatible with the normal Cryptocurrencies Wallets?

I think a perfect Wallet should contain both a Cryptocurrency and a Stable coin pair. For example:
* Bitcoin Wallet: Bitcoin and USDT.
* Monero Wallet: Monero and USDT.
* Ethereum Wallet: Ethereum and USDT.
* Zcash Wallet: Zcash and USDT
etc..
This should enable people switch between a Cryptocurrency and its stable pair easily. The stable coin has to be thesame for other Cryptocurrencies you wish to pair with so that when you have $5 in the stable coin it will also reflect on all Crypto wallets with the stable coin.
So instead of trading on Centralized dinosaurs aka Centralized exchanges you could easily download as many Wallets as you want on your mobile phone and trade in them. A unified Widget could even be developed ( floating widgets?) for the Wallets to make Exchanging the Crypto "lightening" fast.

Are you kidding. USDT is a stablecoin? I always thought they would just print coins.

Re: Is ICO WhitePaper Matter Most?
by
Dart315
on 22/05/2018, 00:21:40 UTC
Who among us here have been victims of almost perfect Whitepaper?
Those sublimely well-written, full of excellent ideas and proposals that turned out to be a piece of crap!
Reading whitepaper is not enough to be a basis of investing in crypto because almost everyone can write whatever they want,
they even promise you the Moon and Stars.

So, be careful now in choosing ICOs, as much as possible look for projects that at least have initially implemented the products or services, if not the whole.

Actually, I think you need to study three things before contributing to an ICO.

1. Team
2. A prototype
3. A whitepaper

Do you have cases when a project had a good white paper and then they would do a bad execution or/and exit scam?

Amazon is slowly starting to take over the world, They will eventually branch out into almost every business. I'm sure Jeff Bezos will eventually be a trillionaire.

Any ICO or Post-ICO projects that can compete Amazon with Blockchain?

Re: Iranians moving out billions in crypto due to sanctions
by

With the amount of conspiracy posts and posts that are neither serious nor discussions reaching another high in this board, I wanted to direct your attention to some very interesting current crypto-related events in Iran. Apparently Iranian citizens are turning to crypto to move assets out of the country, due to the sanctions and the Iranian currency Rial losing value. According to this article it's about $2.5 billion so far.

As unfortunate the whole thing is for Iranian citizens affected, I think it highlights even to a layman that crypto is not some kind of toy and in some cases even a more attractive way to store value than the currency of a country. A country with serious economic problems, but still, a country, with central banks and everything.

With lots of people basically being forced into crypto and having to rely on it for everything from storing their life saving to business dealings, I also think this might be some sort of use case for Bitcoin and crypto as a serious business currency. What do you think?

They buy only Bitcoin or XMR etc as well? I'm asking because today it's very easy to trace BTC.

Re: Seriously, why would anyone want $20 Billion Dollars?
by

Please help me understand the thoughts of people who actually want (for example) $20 Billion Dollars. Depending on where you live, wouldn't $5M be about enough?

"Poor man wanna be rich,
Rich man wanna be king,
And a king ain't satisfied,
'til he rules everything..." ~The Boss

Could you be happy (for example) in a comfortable middle-class life? In case you do not know, excess money can create related problems. Seriously, why would anyone want $20 Billion Dollars?

There is no middle class.

It's done, for your information:

Re: Google will ban ads involving cryptocurrencies

Its funny to see Google and Facebook, once pioneering technology companies (now large bloated corporations) act in the same way as the establishment (shutting out the new to protect itself). People are getting banned on youtube for having slightly leftfield views and the issue of censorship is arising. It doesn't matter that they do this because ways around it will always be found.

Any examples of companies, that can compete Google and Facebook?

But you should make sure that you are mentally ready and finacially ready before you start your crypto job.

All altcoins prices depends from Bitcoin, if BTC price go down, also altcoin prices go down. So you can check BTC price, and then you can also predict all altcoins prices too. But in shortly all prices go down and then go up, like in any market.
It's no longer true

Re: Banks admit they fear BTC
by
Dart315
on 07/05/2018, 15:16:18 UTC
Bitcoin is the real threat to Banks because they can't easily manipulate and control the price movements of bitcoin. They fear decentralization because most of them are corrupt and the root of all scams, they knew the advantages of bitcoin and the benefits of bitcoin to the future.

yes exactly. banks, they could be manipulated by the government and the people in high position but btc, the only people who can control them is the btc holders only as well. in banks, the contributor cannot do anything, only administators.
BTC has open transactions, so I believe we need a more secure and private coin to save ourselves from annoying banks.
