This coin is hurting , have the developers dropped the project?

They have not dropped it. OTOH they are not quite managing to lift it out of the doldrums.

Gulden will bounce back, my wins in Dash is far greater then my losses in Gulden. I can live with this negative trend.

What do you suggest the team does as you claim to know what they doing wrong?

Your name is dash ltc.....XMR is a scam in some ways (cripplemine) and insider trading but comparing XMR to dash is like comparing a double murderer to Stalin.

Also the lack of foresight is astounding. Dash will crash just like XMR did.

Either way they're both scams.

XMR: C level scam
Dash : A+ level scam

XMR is the biggest pump and dump scam in crypto. It has nothing going for it besides traders with deep pockets playing around.

Dash has proper development.

Dash was always going to be worth more then that scam XMR in the long run. Good to see fair market value for once.

I don't do slack but you do seem quite aggressive in your tone, maybe your reactions were over the top? They claim over 2000 users on their slack but you the first to complain about being kicked out?

1. Since it's not your business or experience, GTFO.

2. I'm the first to complain about being kicked out? LOL. Put on your reading glasses.

3. On the slack, Rijk boasted that he had to kick out thousands of trolls. Sure, maybe there are a lot of trolls. But if you hang out on slack (which you say you don't) you would know that any inconvenient observation or question is pounced on, no matter how polite or innocent. It's like a fucking alternate reality in there.

Look mate you have the option not to invest in Gulden, if you don't like the dictatorial style of Gulden there is plenty other coins like Dash that allow freedom of speech.

I know my rights. It's not the style I'm alerting people to, but the lack of substance. Get on slack and find out for yourself how much you can trust their "information".

I invest in Gulden and I think it's only fair to us on this forum that we hear which topics you were booted for and where the lack of substance came from or most of us will treat this as knee jerk reaction to being booted.

Litecoin is a pig. Don't touch it. It's dead. Only bagholders left, no new money entering the LTC market.

They're trying to hype this segwit stuff, but it won't have a positive effect on LTC price whatsoever.

Litecoin is better then most alternatives as it did update to 0.13 code base but at close to $200 million marketcap it is over valued when comparing to coins like Gulden that updated to 0.13 before litecoin and did a lot more. Gulden is only at $7.3 million in marketcap but is a better and more usable coin.

I used to hold LTC but have switched to NLG, you getting far more bang for your buck in terms of development speed and offerings. NLG did the 0.13 code base update before litecoin and awhole lot more. Dash and NLG are now my 2 alt coins of choice, not saying LTC is bad at least they keeping up to date but the marketcap is already close to $200 million where NLG is under $10 million and you getting much more.

Wtf is NLG!? My goodness, people... wake up.

It is Gulden, their 1.6.0 release had 10 updates with the code base update only being 1/10 of it.

You guys need to wake up and start supporting projects that are real. Like I said before litecoin is at least keeping up to date with bitcoin and isn't a bad coin which is why it holds a top 5 marketcap.

When you look into Gulden you realize how overlooked and undervalued that coin is.

Take the time to read through the 1.6.0 update on their blog page, you will need to scroll down a bit.

...

Competition is fierce, jwinterm has been quiet lately. Must be happy he got the wallet removed. Wink

Lol don't be so delusional and paranoid. I don't own any Apple products nor do I care about what goes in their store, but there have been a few articles over last few months saying that they have a pretty short list of things they will allow:
https://news.bitcoin.com/apple-approves-three-cryptocurrencies/
https://bitcoinmagazine.com/articles/monero-coming-jaxx-wallets-including-ios-with-apple-s-blessing-1476224917

So, if Apple only allows maybe 5-10 cryptocurrencies in their store at all, why would they allow the #30 by marketcap and maybe #40 by volume traded on their store? Especially when it's a straight clone of Bitcoin with a huge premine. I think, for instance, Vertcoin and Groestlcoin have both had iOS wallets rejected fairly recently. Maybe don't be so crazy and combative, it kind of smells like desperation.

I wouldn't bother reading posts from someone who supports a coin backed by one investor with deep pockets.

XMR =  Risto Pietila

We all know Dash is the pioneer on the anonymous front.

It is pump and dump story. The volume is not really. No communities. Someone just buying and selling at the same time to make volume. Be careful with this coins.

The coin has a higher value then Gulden which is now the best mainstream coin in crypto , then you understand that the current price is definitely not going to hold, this is the problem these coins are going to have now, as soon as they go higher then Gulden and you compare the features, the wallets, the tech etc it's going to look obvious that it's a pump.

Yet the two coins you are most widely know to be associated with vary from bitcoin only by about a few thousand lines of code (probably an overestimate), and have stock bitcoin wallets, while the latest Gulden release alone (ignoring all previous releases) introduces over 25000 lines of new unique code (for just the desktop wallet and ignoring the 0.13 merge on top of that) and has a completely different interface.
Perhaps the word 'clone' means something different in your world?

25000 lines of new code in 4 months excluding 0.13 code base merge and Mobile wallets?  Shocked Shocked Shocked

I said before Gulden in 2017 is going to pull ahead of the rest of the alts like it's day and night. People still worshipping coins that have done nothing will be left with their pants down if this pace is kept up in 2017. 26th on coinmarketcap yet is the best coin on the market, what is not to love?

Agree Tamilee, traders are manipulating the price downwards because they want more coins themselves. Best we also benefit at the same time while others dump from the fear factor.

Re: Holyshit! HUGE Litecoin news: Segwit & more updates to be deployed Jan 1st!
by
Dashltc
on 20/12/2016, 08:26:59 UTC
This is what one of the top 3 alt coin developers had to say about Segwit. Gulden has already update to latest code base but left Segwit disabled.

splendid update!!!!!11! Just love it.
Thanks.

Some questions:
1. Is Segwit code integrated in 1.6.1/1.6.2? If so when is the activation date? Is it using version bits or ISM (IsSuperMajority)?
It's integrated but disabled (except on testnet where it is active). We have no immediate plans to activate it on mainnet as right now there is no immediate need (or immediate benefits) to us doing so, we do not have massive block congestion, none of our current services are having overwhelming malleability issues..
There are various risks to activating this ahead of bitcoin, including the fact that it may never activate on bitcoin, if it never activates then perhaps the Bitcoin devs will revisit the malleability problem and find a better solution, perhaps we would rather follow them in that then be stuck supporting a feature they never activated and dumped (just because we wanted to be first) We also have no real desire to being Bitcoins beta testers.

So yes, we could have activated this already if we wanted but we aren't really interested in that right now, we are far more interested in our own projects that we are busy working on which IMO are far more exciting and represent far more real value for our userbase.

I know the above probably sounds strange in the 'crypto' field where other coins are all clamouring to claim they are first at something so that they can score cheap hype points or whatever, but this is how it is.
At Gulden we are focused on sustainable responsible development, not hype driven nonsense and cheap tricks.

Dash and Gulden, the rest of the coins havent delivered much and they still stuck on pre 0.11 codebases.

Don't let the above posters fool you and do proper research. Look at Guldens 1.6.0 update and you will see an example of delivery not just pretty photoshop pictures promising the world.

MaNI I want to say massive respect to you and your team, I almost couldn't believe I was opening up a crypto wallet when opening up 1.6.0 for the first time. I like the freedom accounts give you and the link feature from Android to desktop is revolutionary. Thank YOU!!
Thanks.

For the bad news the traders are behaving the way I expected and disrespecting your teams development, if you could let the traders take over the coin and let them fuck around with it and start a new Gulden and only have users swap. There is no denying your teams development skills and it's unfair a handful of whales are stamping all over your work.
I'm not sure where you ever got the impression that anything in life is fair. It isn't, life is a constant struggle, anything of worth that anyone ever accomplished was done through blood sweat and tears.

There are no easy solutions, these 'cheap' ideas like coin swaps or new coins solve nothing, all doing such a thing would show is that the team has no backbone and will happily ditch something when things don't go our way, is it this sort of thinking (your sort of thinking) that is exactly what is wrong with the crypto scene - nobody is prepared to stand for anything any more.

That traders have 'won' this round is sad, I am sorry it has happened (mostly for the people who will have lost money as a result), though not surprised, people should be in less of a rush to push the price up. they should place buy support instead of buying at high prices, they should think long term, until this mentality becomes more normal traders will continue to win. But focusing on this is silly and only half the picture, thinking about price is small minded and way too short term.

We end the year with a better product, with more users than we have ever had before, with a large real community of real nice people who aren't price obsessed and aren't part of the normal toxic crypto crowd, with enough funding to continue our good development into the new year. The low price will make it easier to attract new users, and we have the product to do it. These are the things that matter, this is what the dev team cares about, the current price today, that is not significant to us.

So no, we will not behave like a bunch of spineless cowards like you suggest and perform some silly 'coin swap' or other nonsense, we will carry on doing exactly what we already are, we will stand for something and stand behind our product. We will continue to build something one bloody step at a time, the way things are always done in the real world, nothing worthwhile ever comes easily.
You should snap out of this toxic mindset and come join us on slack where we are building something real.

Eventually we will have so many users that the price will rise legitimately to a point that these current traders will become irrelevant, a long forgotten memory, other than the fact that they will be here, whinging that they sold out too soon, this is what happens to all short sighted people in the end.

 Shocked Shocked Shocked

This feedback will give a lot of long term investors confidence, I look forward to another good year for Gulden!

MOOOOON !!!!

True Gulden investors are very lucky to have you MaNI, a lot of developers would of walked away with some profits and never returned.

It is extremely sad to see different coin-supporters fighting eachother,
and to have traders manipulating the market to make a quick buck,
at the same time wrecking the chances of worldwide mainstream growth in crypto.

The goal of crypto was to get out of the manipulative and corrupt financial system based on fiat currency.
Currently a small group within the crypto community is acting like the manipulative and corrupt financial system itself.

Gulden is a great coin backed by a great team.
And there are many other great coins like Gulden, moving forward with positive intentions.
Coins should be welcoming new features, innovations and progress presented by fellow coins.
It is totally stupid to damage the image of other coins and their marketvalue,
trying to protect an imaginary market position of another coin.
In the long run no single crypto coin will benefit from this.
It only damages the name of crypto as a whole.

A few weeks ago many citizens in The Netherlands read about Gulden in the media.
Many of them liked it and joined; new eager crypto users spending their fiat money and buying coins for the first time.
Shortly after that Gulden was a dump-target by traders and/or other coin-supporters.

Quickly the media jumped on it, emphasizing the risk and volatility of crypto.
The new Gulden users and those who were thinking about buying, have been effectivily scared and burned their hands.
But the main effect is these people and those reading the negative media coverage, will not invest in nor buy any crypto coin in future.
And this effect is solely caused by people from within the crypto world, attacking one of their own crypto coins.
You are only scaring new users away, while crypto should focus on growth in usernumbers.

Gulden will not be stopped by bringing its value down.
In only 6 months time the small Gulden community funded 508 BTC for development ( https://shares.gulden.com/ ),
so development will continue for a long time, regardless of market value manipulation.

If the disruptive forces within the crypto world would just stop the sabotage,
crypto could become a really great thing.

It wouldn't surprise me if it's XMR backers pushing the price down, they mess with Dash all the time but Dash is fortunate enough to have investors like the guys from Dollar Vigilante that can soak any attempts by XMR to smash the price permanently. Gulden hasn't got this kind of investment fire power "yet" but it will come, only a matter of time.

Your post is exactly why crypto "could" fail because banks will have more confidence from people then traders killing off a project due to jealousy, greed and other reasons.

Lol you're such a pleasant guy, crypto_beast, I think I'll keep replying just to keep our conversation going. Maybe between insulting me and discussing my butt related health issues you can find the time to provide a link or description of how this feature actually works.

The update was too good for exchanges like Poloniex to add the coin. They butthurt because no media attention given to this update. lol

Yes it's exchange listings that make a coin great or not, some people are not playing with a full deck of cards.

The powers that be are doing their best not to show any attention to Gulden for now.

2017 will be the year of litecoin making its comeback as altcoin king. Development has picked up, price is ready to explode with lots of accumulation happening at the moment and eth is dying.

Buy litecoin and hold before 2017 starts. Good things come to those who wait!

Gulden has already owned litecoin with their 1.6.0 update. Read it and be amazed at how overpriced litecoin is right now compared to Gulden. The one thing litecoin has is more exchanges and services but in terms of core development Gulden is way ahead.

This might be the largest update in crypto history. The devs said he will release the source code soon and this can be confirmed by others.

The most impressive part for me is not the crazy good ux in the offering or the Link feature which feels unreal when you use it but the time it took to do 1.6.0

I am also a investor in digibyte and with a fairly large development team have been working on the 0.12 and now 0.13 codebase for over 6 months.

1.6.0 with codebase 0.13 took 5 months to complete. This is what would have me worried if I was other coin devs.

This is why I invest in Dash and lately Gulden. I have started liquidating my positions in litecoin.
