Although admittedly there's one threat, and it's if Ripple continues its ascent while Bitcoin falls.

Why would the price of Ripple rise above the price of the minimum Bitcoin transaction fee?
It's an IOU anti-spam token.

great solution for merchants eh....

Bitcoin is not for pussies.

My business took in 0.3BTC for a sale when the price was $1200 AUD.  Because the client screwed me on the exchange rate (It should have been AUD$1135 but "you have to keep the customer happy".  I sold 1 BTC at AUD$1150 out of spite and bought 2 cases of rum.  The rum is all gone....

I'm worried more about the fact that the 'enemy' has a money printer and so can play at a loss manipulating the btc market for a long time buying high and selling low.

I consider that the irony of Keynes's "The Market Can Stay Irrational Longer Than You Can Stay Solvent "
The government is forcing the irrationality.

The Honey Badger doesn't care.  Back to $50?  If it has to.

We WILL win outside of a protocol failure.

everyone seems to think we're going to go up soon.

I'm not so sure, just because of that.

it's about reality that BTC is dead, 5 years it was working just fine, i agree, but last year is showing that there is no more developement going on, no more new people addopting it, so fuck it, it's lost in history, believe it or not.

When you make a troll post, it is most effective if it holds a hint of truth.  Out right bullshit just makes you look childish.

TPS up.
Bitcoin Core releases going smoothly.
BIPS development going smoothly.
Third-party app development going smoothly.
Regulatory framework improving
Price is down.

You are 23,294th person to declare Bitcoin dead.  And they have all been wrong.

And your dad sold loads of his right?

Yes.  He sold 700 BTC from $100 to $1000.  He has 250 BTC left. (Spent 50 BTC since the ATH).

Does your family have any btc left? Sad (though nice work selling at 1150)

Yes, but not enough!

But a great trade is when the both are happy

The only time I see great trades is when a First World traveler buys his first purchase in a Third World country.  The happy lasts for about 60 seconds when he realises he just got shafted.

Sorry about the decimal, it was supposed to be a comma.  Your words "insistence" and "nagged" make it seem as if she may have very strong influence in your trading decisions. I understand it is tough to make decisions on trading and hindsight is easy. As long as you had fun and are swimming in the new pool with the wife it's all good.

No problems.  We debate vigorously. The idea is that nothing should be left on the table.
It's a balance between having a large ledger or a happy life.

As my father says. "A good trade is when both the buyer and seller are unhappy".

You need to stop letting your wife tell you what to do.

250 x $360.8 = $92.450 current USD value in bitcoin. I'll bet you got less than that for the ones you sold. You would've been better off keeping your btc till today.

She doesn't tell me what to do.  We discuss options.  It's called a partnership.
The minute you start to think that you know everything, you know nothing.

I'm confused with your calculations.

EDIT:  The decimal point confused me.  You are correct.  No regrets though, it has been an awesome experience.

Them too. I bet LambChop is butt-hearted because he spent his coinZ. I surely won't sell him mine. Not before $20,000 pages. Grin

I sold 200 BTC at $50 dollar increments above $100 on my wife's insistence.  I'm still pissed about those trades.

But I forgave when she nagged me to dump 50 BTC at $1150.
