Hi!
The real question here is why H20 don´t reply on this topic, and OFC refute all the acusations being made here...
I still don´t get it...

It so hard to speak here? Put all our mind to ease?
I don´t think his a scammer (i don´t have the knoledge to know just looking the graphs), but all this silence we wonder... why?

And don´t say he don´t have the time...

Come on...

Best Regards,

LPC
This thread moves incredibly quickly. Yesterday was 12 pages long. To be honest, most of the posts here are inflammatory, ignorant, rude, and people arguing with tealover. If I were H20, I would much rather work on issues like fixing the sub-10 mBTC payouts or fixing the stalled stats database then read pages upon pages of internet word vomit. In the mean time, I'm going to spend a week at trademybit to see if I can pull higher payouts with my 280X once that pool gets auto-exchanging.

What temp you running that thing? Been trying to tune my rigs (290x) and they run hot as hell so I tune them down to keep them at around 85C. You get more than I do per rig.

My MSI R9 280X stays at 82c at 40% fan speed. It's using a small engine overclock (1020/1500 -> 1040/1500), and is mounted in an ATX case with the side partially removed to improve airflow. Multiple cards in proximity would obviously result in higher temperatures.

This has been pointed out before, but middlecoin calculates moving average using your submitted shares. The US East server tends to reject fewer shares, resulting in my moving average showing up to 0.82 Mh/s when cgminer only reports 0.72.

Over the last 2 weeks, I averaged 5.28 mBTC/day with my modest 0.720 Mhash/s R9 280X setup. I restart CGMiner whenever rejected shares goes above 2%.

This comes out to 7.33 mBTC/day per Mhash/s. At current coinbase price of $864.86, I earned a total of $63.93 in two weeks.
This gives me $6.34 per Mhash per day. During these two weeks, USD/BTC ranged from $700 to $1000, while middlecoin grew from 7 GH/s to 13 GH/s. The rate of posting in this very thread saw a similar increase, as did the number of vocal dissidents.

If middlecoin earned 200,000 mBTC using 12,500 MH/s, today's pool payed 16 mBTC per Mhash/s, which puts me at about %50 below the pool average. The bottom line is, if you think you can earn more somewhere else, why are you posting here?

To everyone who asked for these numbers, all the data you need is available on middlecoin.com. Do the math  Tongue

I'm fine with H20 using my 3% to build more servers, trade on the exchanges, and resolve technical issues in a timely manner. It saves me the time and headaches of starting my own mining pool.

edit: useast.middlecoin.com started timing out for me, switching to the default pool seemed to fix it.

That address is a fellow from China using ASIC chips. He starts posting on this page. Please don't discuss ASICs or other mining stuff in this thread unless it directly relates to middlecoin. There is an entirely separate forum for that.

I got a 30-minute downtime from 1030 to 1100 GMT today. Payments have been smaller, but that's due to multiple factors, such as increasing pool hashrate, a weak altcoin market, and a volatile BTC.

Re: Question about powered risers

Everywhere it is said that you MUST have a powered risers if you are going to use more than 3 GPUs per mining rig. Now that I got my Asus R9 290's, I noticed that there is a separate PCIe power input in them.

So I'm just wondering; what exactly is the purpose for the powered riser, vs. one without a power? Are powered ones needed only with some older GPUS's without a dedicated power input? Do ALL R9 cards (270,280,290) a PCIe power input, so there wouldn't be a need for a powered version of the riser at all?

This was the first search result for "powered risers", but it hasn't been answered? I too would like to explain the differences between powered and unpowered risers.

I started mining this morning about 18 hours ago, and I haven't been able to pull my page up, and haven't gotten any payouts.

I assume I just need to wait another day and I should start seeing some traction?

BTW I'm mining it with 2.1 mh/s now that I was using for LTC, testing this out to see how it goes.

Payouts are daily if your balance is above 0.01 BTC, or weekly if it is above 0.001 BTC. Once you have your first payout, a graph is generated and updated for you.

My second wallet here just stopped updating one day after my PC crashed while using cgminer. I had to make a new wallet in its place after I checked my graph a couple hours later.

I'm not looking to get rich or go all-in, but I made about $20 in my first week on cgminer pools. I guess my next step is to put together a 2 GPU 1Mh/s miner using the 280x and buy a 770 lol. Learning to build a decent miner is also fun for a PC gamer.

As for heat, I have a decent airflow and aftermarket CPU fan. The GPU runs 82 C at 30% fan speed, but the CPU never goes above 65 under load. That may have been a bit too hot, though, because I get occasional crashes when gaming. At least it gets 720 kh/s stable  Cool

Thanks for the help!

Building a Scrypt rig
by

I recently built a gaming PC in November when my R9 280x was only $310. However, I'd like to build a cheap PC to mine my 280x full time and game on a different card. Is there a guide somewhere that details the nuances of a multi-GPU setup? I figure I could save money if I skipped the case and opt for cheap CPU and RAM, but how slow can your CPU be before it cuts into your hashrate? Also, is there any disadvantage to putting my R9 280x into a PCIe 2.0 slot instead my current PCIe 3.0 slot?  Huh

My current system:
630W PSU
MSI R9 280x
i5 3570k @ 4.4 GHz
8 GB DDR3 1600

If my 630W PSU could support a second card, I may be able to game and mine from the same case. Would sharing the same CPU, RAM, and north bridge bandwidth cut into either's performance? Thanks in advance for your helpful and informed replies  Wink

If you don't mind me asking, how much LTC do you get per Mh/s?

Middlecoin scrypt mining
by
Dawes
on 27/12/2013, 05:18:36 UTC
I built a new computer for gaming this November. Luckily, I got my R9 280X for $310. About a week ago, I looked into how I could use it for mining and decided on middlecoin.com. I am getting ~720 Kh/s using cgminer with scrypt stable at 82 C.

One of the wallets I was using stopped updating on their website. I mined to it for about 5 hours and it didn't get update on the website. When viewing it's balance chart, it is blank where it used to show data. I'm guessing there was a Christmas bug on the server and hope it will update in a couple days, but for now I'm mining to a different BTC wallet and it appears to be working fine.

This is my first post here, so I guess I'll throw out some questions for replies. How safe is it to run at 82 C for hours at a time? Ever since I started mining, I've experienced more crashes during gaming, although I can't be sure if it was caused by an in-game bug. Also, how do I mine without a pool for scrypt crypto-currencies like LiteCoin?

edit: Doh! Roll Eyes I should have read the middlecoin thread before posting.

Payouts will be delayed tonight. I'm upgrading the server that computes the webpage stats, and I need to finish that first.
