I've been dollar cost averaging BTC and BTC only for the past two months.
You'll still make money with alts in dollar terms, but I feel BTC is the superior choice in term of ROI.

Maybe try splitting it 75% BTC / 25% altcoins?

It's a self-fulfilling prophecy: you've got some douche w/ a YouTube channel making predictions based on technical analysis and saying the market will correct by however many percentage points and the saddest thing is that people take their speculative bullshit seriously.

Technical analysis doesn't work. Nobody has any fucking clue where the market is headed. No one! Even back in 2013, the BTC market was pretty darn efficient already. Moves on a 24 hour time scale were for all intents and purposes impossible to predict. You can't time the market unless you have enough money to play the pump and dump game.


So unless you have a shitload of BTC and are willing to break the law, you have no way of predicting the price of BTC and alts. Nobody has a clue, so stop whining about the price and start buying. If you believe in the long term potential of crypto just keep buying on a regular basis. The lower it drops the better, because you'll be able to accumulate more.

I see that 10,000 SNT have been credited to my wallet, but I can't get the balance to show up on MEW.
I go to 'add custom token' I enter the crowdsale address, i.e., the hex ending in 230da05492, choose the token name (SNT) with 18 decimals and still nothing shows up.

Am im doing something wrong?

I got the exact same message you did and my transaction has been pending for 15 minutes and yet you don't see me going around posting and reposting the same semi-incomprehensible, English creole babble and demanding to be given an explanation for what's going on.

Not just that, but also the structure of these ICOs is bad because the bulk of the money goes to 'development' as opposed to marketing and customer acquisition. These projects need users. Without real world adoption these companies ultimately fail.

If ETH doesn't correct, you'll get eaten alive. There's a bunch of high profile ICOs culminating in the Tezos crowdfunding on July 1, and people need ETH to gamble invest in these projects. If you short it now and Status.im, TenX and Tezos turn out to be nearly as popular as expected, you're dead. Don't fight the trend.

He's an advisor to Omise Go and some other weirdly named ICO (Kyber?), but that's it. People have just been using his name without permission.

Pascal if markets behaved rationally. Why? They have the first ever implementation of a deletable blockchain. This translates into reduced blockchain bloat and infinite scalability.

NEM is also a good candidate because it has a fixed supply and can scale to thousands of transactions per second.

If the market crashes (which at some point it will) these are the ones I'll be buying.

Look at BAT or Status. Who's going to use the brave browser? I don't see it gaining any traction. People will continue to use Chrome because it's a google product. They don't care enough to switch.

Status is even more preposterous. They want to compete with We Chat or LINE. Not gonna happen.

At the end of the day very few coins are worth anything. I grow more concerned w/ each passing day.
