I do not think this is what Satoshi had in mind, if he actually wanted to help common people.
The Bitcoin Reserve Plan that he has now confirmed is positive for the Bitcoin market and will be bullish for Bitcoin.
It may be bullish for the market for the time being but I wouldn't call it a positive thing overall and I'm afraid we will have to face it in the future when the US government starts manipulating the market in order to earn profit to cover their gaping budget deficit...
This is the worst case scenario. US Government milking Bitcoin holders through manipulation which they can since Bitcoin price is highly dependent on what’s Trump stand on Bitcoin.
Bitcoin price pump and dump in an insane level which is very profitable to anyone who can manipulate it especially US government.

Telegram is amazing for several reasons. I personally like to use it for my music with no commercials or BS, and I also keep up with a small number of channels I am interested in. For TON, to keep growing, at some point, they need much higher quality projects than paid to tap! That junk is doomed to fail and will hopefully be replaced by much better efforts.

As expected, Pavel Durov started making changes to Telegram after his release. Telegram disables ‘misused’ features as CEO faces criminal charges. This is how the government, under the disguise of law, makes enterprises work for them. If he had not listened to them, then he would have gone to prison for certain and would have lost more money in the name of penalty.
Okay, in other words, you're being told that the privacy of your correspondence may be violated. If you are not involved in crime and you are not a person to be monitored, nothing will change for you. It's even better because the scammers will leave the telegram.

Since the original purpose of Telegram was to offer privacy for your correspondence that does seem like a really big deal. They had so much momentum and growth this summer, there was no chance the heavy powers in the world would not notice.
