Re: US Americans can now donate towards reducing national debt via Venmo
by
DeathAngel
on 25/07/2025, 14:31:28 UTC
Everybody is welcome to spend money they earn in any way they wish but workers do their bit to pay off the National Debt via income tax any way. Our governments don’t care about us so I would suggest that nobody sends any money to this Venmo. Why should people send money when it will probably not be spent on something that enriches their life. It’s a hard no from me.

Re: USA announces 50% tariffs on Brazil

Seems really high but no doubt just a negotiation tactic on Trump’s part. I don’t think many of these current tariff rates with major trading partners will be what is finalised. It’s just a way of getting other countries to the table to negotiate better rates. I have absolutely no doubt that the proposed tariff deadline date will be extended. We will just have to watch this space.

Re: What Does "Being Rich" Even Mean Anymore?
by
DeathAngel
on 25/07/2025, 13:28:09 UTC
Being rich means not having to worry about money any more, having an abundance of wealth that sets you free. Having money doesn’t solely make you happy though, you need a lot more than a large bank account to truly be happy. Try to surround yourself with good friends & family, that is true wealth.

Re: Bitcoin going down

Just a normal market correction after a relatively big move up. The new coins sent to Binance will be absorbed & we’ll start to go up again. It’s nothing to worry about. Market Makers like taking advantage of this type of thing to make panic sellers part with their coins. Everything is fine, just a little uncertainty before we begin the next run up.

I really hope this doesn’t escalate. We have seen far too many unnecessary civilian deaths in various countries over the last few years. I pray that sense is seen & the people in control deescalate before it goes too far & other countries get involved, making it a bloodbath.

There is Bitcoin & everything else is a shitcoin. Sure you can make big fiat gains in Altcoins if you’re lucky but none of them have the longevity, decentralization & proof of work like Bitcoin. I wouldn’t park a big portion of my net worth in any Altcoin long term. Short teem is fine but not long term.

Re: staking stablecoins good?
by
DeathAngel
on 25/07/2025, 07:29:35 UTC
Staking stablecoins can be a good idea if you want low risk passive income. Since stablecoins don’t swing in price like other crypto it’s safer. But the rewards are usually lower & there’s still some risk like if the platform fails or the stablecoin loses its peg. Do your research, don’t put in more than you can afford to lose & stick with trusted platforms. It’s not free money but it can work if you’re careful.

Re: How to Secure Your Finances in a Devaluing Economy
by

Save in strong currencies if you can like USD, Bitcoin or gold. Don’t keep all your money in cash, try real estate, stocks or goods that hold value. Cut unnecessary spending & stock up on essentials before prices rise more. Stay informed & maybe talk to someone who knows about money. Even small steps help.

I can see what OP means but no, I don’t need to pretend my coins are not mine. I have a stash that a certain % will probably never be sold but I don’t need to trick myself into believing they are not mine. If a method works for you though & removes temptation to sell it all then by all means, continue with what you are doing.

Re: Did You Catch These Entry Levels in the Last Cycle? BTC/BNB/XRP
by

on 23/07/2025, 09:05:19 UTC
I got Bitcoin under $7000 but I don’t buy many Altcoins. It’s not important exact price levels for entry if you have patience & can hold long term. Nobody cares if they bought at $7,000 or $10,000 now do they. Just set up a DCA regular buy plan & stick to it. Start small & keep buying, you will not regret it.

Re: UK government fools will sell the bitcoin
by

They’re not the first government & they won’t be the last to make such a monumental error as selling their Bitcoin. These governments are financially illiterate & don’t appreciate now valuable a finite supply asset is. Why would they sell Bitcoin for something they can & do recklessly print, it’s stupid but I am not surprised.

The market is just doing its thing, we’ve had a few teaser pumps but this is not peak Altcoin season. We still have to wait, it will come in Q4 or Q1 2026. We just need to be patient, profit season is getting close.

Re: Chances to buy Bitcoin back
by
DeathAngel
on 23/07/2025, 07:38:48 UTC
Hi all

Looks like a short term draw back is in order for BTC.
I am thinking of selling to then buy back.
I am reluctant to do that, to be honest, before asking knowledgeable people about whether there still be Bitcoin waiting to be bought by me in next correction? I mean BTC availability due to its growing scarcity.
(Considering the volumes in which Black Rock, Michael Saylor and other big players are gobbling down BTC...)

Your thoughts please

It can be a very smart move but don’t do it yet. Bitcoin is still at least 30% from its cycle top, I think. So sell maybe once we go over $140,000. It will probably go higher but I think that’s a good point to start DCA out. Then you can buy back cheaper in the bear market. Be aware of capital gains taxes if applicable in your country.

Re: Ensuring generational wealth

The easiest way to build generational wealth is to invest aggressively in Bitcoin & Index Funds over many years. You should buy them for 30 years whilst you earn a salary & then hen it comes to retirement age you will have amassed a net worth to be proud of, which ultimately can be classified as generational wealth.

I like that crypto is becoming more mainstream but don’t expect anything from this week to pump our coins. There’s not going to be a catalyst from this supposed crypto week. Let’s just keep holding & wait for Altcoin season.

This doesn’t surprise me, all governments hate us. If they could get away with making us work for free, seven days a week they would. You have to make it on your own in the world because individually we mean nothing to our power hungry governments.

Re: Why this bull run could be different
by
DeathAngel
on 22/07/2025, 17:26:34 UTC
People always say it will be different this cycle but that’s not been true so far, it’s always followed the same path. Obviously there’s no guarantee it will continue to be the same but it is, until it isn’t. I wouldn’t be looking for anything unexpected to happen. Bitcoin will top later this year & then Altcoins will boom before a bear market comes.

Re: Body positivity / Fat acceptance

I believe people should mind their own business & not make fun of fat people. Bullying is bad & shouldn’t happen but the whole movement is BS. People getting jobs that they shouldn’t just because they’re fat, to meet quotas is wrong. Seeing big fat women on Victoria Secrets runways etc, Calvin Klein ads with obese women, it’s stupid & has gone too far.

Solana meme coins will have their time to shine later this year. When Bitcoin tops (it hasn’t yet) people will rotate into Altcoins & that’s when meme coins will go wild. It’s not too late to buy yet but you really should have a good position now, waiting to take advantage of Altseason which is merely months away in all likelihood.

Re: Famous people that died poor
by
DeathAngel
on 18/07/2025, 17:53:28 UTC
Famous people who died poor include Vincent van Gogh, who sold few paintings in his life. There’s Edgar Allan Poe who struggled with money and died broke, also Nikola Tesla who lived his last years in a hotel room, alone & in debt. Judy Garland despite her fame had financial troubles & died owing money. Even Joe Louis the boxing champ, ended up in deep debt. Their stories show that talent & fame don’t always mean financial success.
