Re: [ANN][AC] AsiaCoin | MANDATORY Wallet 2.0 | Back on Mintpal | Premine Voided

I'm working on a video that goes into a brief history of the coin and then goes on to explain the plan for recovery. I could use some help and opinions. If anybody is willing to help me decide on a couple things then please send me a private message so I can send you some questions to help make this video the best it can be.

Please let me know when you're finished, for I can help spread it.

Currently talking to a friend of mine at BITSUMO, hopefully we'll be able to order anything off the Internet with Asiacoin. I'll post an update when we work something out.

So I've been noticing a lot of articles online about the Asiacoin scam, most of these websites have a comment section you don't even have to sign up for. If anyone would like to help out by posting comments on these articles by politely asking them to update the story on the revival of Asiacoin, that could bring back some positive views on Asiacoin, which will benefit all of us.

Dear Community

Since we are doing a hard fork, and if other changes to the structure and ecosystem are required, it must be done now. We aimed to be completely transparent and this requires us to really listen to everyone about an important issue: How much should it stake in the first year?

Asia Coin was supposed to stake 100% during its first year, that is not possible due to the extra 30 million AC that was dumped from the premined block. However, we can still do a high value (basically 190 million -> 320 million). It is also possible to reduce staking to a significantly lower value.

So as a community, we need to decide what to do, and the issue is now up for debate. Please respectfully state your opinions (and reasoning/justification is obviously much better than just stating a number Smiley ).
I will agree with a reduction but not a drastic one. The reason AC captured high attention was due to the first year 100% stake interest and 2% 2nd year onwards. I personally feel that we can reduce the first year stake to 70% stake and subsequent years to 3-5% to beat inflation.

redo your calculation please, there were a total of 141million asiacoins, plus the 30 million premined coins

That will be ~87%

Thanks for redoing the calculation, I thought it was going to be disregard and we were going to have 50 million more coins in circulations than supposed too. 87% Doesnt sound bad for a coin that wasnt even worth air..... I will gladly accept 87% POS if the new dev fixes the coin. A small price to pay in my opinion .

I'm sorry, but I think you're forgetting something

the first 1000 blocks only contain 100 coins per block

Looking back at the old forum post it was a total of 141,195,037 AC

Ahh, you're right.. anyways would be great for someone to calculate the POS % that would have to be adjusted to hit the original goals.

TO DEV REMEMBER THE TOTAL COINS WERE SOMEWHERE AROUND 141,195,037

If I remember correctly (correct me if I'm mistaken)  when the 20106 blocked was mined there was only 141million coins ? So with the premine wouldn't that make it 171mil?

Hmm but 20106/2 * 10000 + 20106/2 * 5000 = 150795000  .. guess it would be 180m or so.

What I never liked of AC is that has a very high interest rate in the first year, And this will bring down its price in the medium and long term! With 5 % is OK! Wink

If you can change that too much better! Smiley

Already there are enough coins over with hidden premine sold!

yes POS rewards *will* be adjusted via patch , and hard fork..

shouldn't the PoS mining rewards remain intact. 100% interest first year is one of the few reasons why i bought AC.

It is going to have to change to account for the extra 30M premine that was already distributed.. basically instead of starting at 160m -> 320m to end of the year with 160m paid out through staking. we must take a dilution of the 30m.. so that it goes from 190m->320m within the year.

I don't think the interest rate should be changed either, but I can't get everything I want  and if they change it I'll just be happy they resurrected the coin

This is a wonderful idea, and it doesn't hurt the people who bought the 30mil.
I was emailing merchants and alt payment processors trying to get them on board with the last project...
If you guys can actually pull this off, I will gladly spend time marketing this project.
Good Luck!

Dear Asiacoin community,

We, the Pandacoin (PND) devs feel like giving back to the community with the recent Asiacoin blow up, as part of our coin’s origins and philosophy is to stand against cryptocurrency manipulation and scams. We would like to offer some sort of compensation to current Asiacoin bagholders that have lost money with the recent turmoil in the coin.

Compensation offer:

If you can provide proof of the amount of Asiacoin that you are currently bagholding, we will send you the amount of Pandacoins (PND) to a 1:1 ratio for the amount of Asiacoin that you hold. For anyone with less than 50,000 Asiacoins, the minimum of Pandacoins (PND) received from us is still going to be 50,000!

So far we have compensated over 50 Asiacoin bagholders! Smiley

Disclaimer: Maximum 150,000 Pandacoin (PND) per individual, wallet address, and bitcointalk account. Only bitcointalk accounts over 7 days old will be considered

Ok sounds good! How do I get some free Pandacoins? -

Step 1: Getting your Pandacoin (PND) wallet - Download our wallet by going to either https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=568529 or http://thepandacoin.net and generating a Pandacoin (PND) deposit address

Step 2: Providing Proof

In your AsiaCoin wallet, go to File > Sign Message. Then click on the address book button next to the address input field and select your address. Then, enter your Bitcointalk forum username in the text box and click the sign message button. Finally, click the copy signature button next to the signature field and paste it in the message for Step 3.

Step 3: Contacting us with the information to receive our compensation offer - Go to https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=568529 and reply with a post containing the proof of your signature embedded with the address from Step 2, along with your Pandacoin (PND) wallet address to receive our compensation offer for Asiacoin bagholders!

Your post should look something like this with the following example -

Asiacoin address: ALR6861XReyWD25RrJjzgY1GLe75MLH4DR

Balance: 1000.1234

Proof: IGkFFI3T29GrP55FqnmkOarblqUsmmfG7XxwwaYYQiwR8wV1hc2QpG7jEUshh1N4pk2uckdid3xDM4d 3AkA/WBY=

If your coins are trapped in an exchange, so you can't do step 2. You can provide a screenshot in your post over at https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=568529 in place of step 2 that was listed! I had many people telling me that their exchanges are trapping their coins, so there we go Smiley

Cryptsy says they will enable the AC market again if someone makes the hidden premine coins void.
I understand that some of us that have received those coins from the exchange will lose their coins (maybe it will happen to me) but it would also mean that AC is back in business and we can continue to trade with it.

Is anyone with the proper skills busy with that task now?
Should we have a poll to decide on future of AC? (If any)

I think we should void the premined coins. If people loose there coins and I don't I will gladly give them a portion of my coins to help them out. If I loose my coins well then f$$k it happens.  I would rather loose my coins then have everyone loose on this. What else do we have to lose?
