As I saw last days bitcoin pumps after Iran declared the war against the United States, On my observation its because some people on the middle east sold they commodities, some stocks and bought cryptocurrency to keep carefully their assets. Do you think guys war was favor on the entire crypto investors? You can share your thought now.
It only looks like that but o dont think that's what is happening. I dont think war is a reason for the price of bitcoin to rise. War is not influencing the the whole of cryptocurrency. It's a good observation though, but I dont think that's what is happening
In my view, regulation will be good for Crypto industry. As we can now see that many Govt are looking for ways to regulate the industry.
Regulation will be a good thing in the long run. It will build trust for the industry among the masses thereby resulting in mass adoption. With regulation, people will feel more comfortable and have a sense of security to invest in crypto.
I don't believe that regulation means we have to declare our portfolio. Just as nobody cares to know exactly how much you own in the bank.
Regulation will also help in curbing the possibility of using crypto to launder money and place a check and balance in ICO which will make it very difficult for scam ICOs to operate.
I say regulation will in the end be a good thing for crypto..
What's your view about it?
There is a common adage that where there is no law, there is no sin. I totally agree with the fact that there should be various regulations guiding our operation in the cryptospace. It gives everyone the confidence that defaulters will be purnished and the space will be more safe, most especially for investors and even the newbies, who do not know so much about what's obtainable in the crypto space and make easily fall into wrong hands, most especially when they are not patient enough to learn from those who have gone ahead. So, regulations are totally good. The idea is most welcomed
I've read people asking and posting how to protect their wallet but apart from educating yourself on how to protect your wallet, private keys and passwords, It's also very important that you protect yourself from exposing your portfolio you don't go around telling friends and random people, coins that you are keeping. And also It's important to have other businesses or jobs and not rely on all your needs to Cryptocurrency, people will notice this and they will think you are making a fortune from Cryptocurrency and they might target you.
So are you protecting yourself and how do you protect yourself and your family?
Ome of the most beautiful things I admire about cryptocurrency is the fact that you can be running it and nobody will know you are doing anything, yet, you will be earning alot. So, I see no reason why anyone should now take it upon themselves to start announcing things that are supposed to be private. Everyone should take caution as one can even fall into the hands of hackers. It is better to be safe than sorry.
Thanks so much for this post, it's worth thinking about

Re: Are the scam projects killing entire crypto space?
From my point of view, scam projects have taken away the glory of genuine projects. Due to too many scams around crypto space, investors are not confident on investing in new projects. It's Becoming very difficult day by day to find out the legitimacy of the projects. This in turn affecting the projects and result of this is not raising the funds as expected and required for further development of projects. This is daviating projects from their roadmap which is resulting in too much delay or even failure. Missing interest in investors is somehow obstacle to growth and further research of dApps projects. I think, rugulations will solve the topic to great extent, but is there any other way to stop the scamming and not just going away from it? Please apply your thoughts.
You are very right. With the rate of scam projects around, it's scary at times to invest, notwithstanding, one has to take the risk, just incase the project turns out not to be a scam. The only advice I always encourage people to adapt when it comes to issues like this is for everyone not to be greedy. Dont invest more than you can afford to lose. That way, even if you lose your money, you are still up and running because all tour eggs are not in a basket
So I was wandering around on youtube and I came across this video( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Lw7M7QamQgI ). I realized that the ideas behind the creation of Libra Coin by Zuckerberg are very similar to that of Bitcoin, which I felt that he is just being smart to launch a crypto coin like Bitcoin. But do you guys think He needs the approval from these people before launching the Libra Coin? Personally, I don't think these people understood what he is trying to develop. This video really explains why Satoshi decided to remain anonymous. Satoshi knew that these people will never understand his ideas and contradict the development of Bitcoin.
It is easier for Bitcoin to thrive because of the anonymity of its visioneer. If Libra was like that too, it will experience less problems with lawmakers and various authorities.

Re: Huge rewards, less value or Less reward, big value
There have been a lot of posts questioning the rewards of campaigns in recent time, complaints about dev and team giving fewer rewards for campaigns. Many have eyes but cannot see, what is the use of huge rewards with no value in the future why you can be giving fewer rewards that will grow into something big if you can hodl, I will rather participate in a campaign with less reward and huge prospect than wasting my time overloading my portfolio with useless coins that will take me nowhere. If you really want to benefit from crypto, think less of what any new project can bring you new, think more of what you stand to gain in the future, be part of a good project. Don't be deceived by the promise of huge rewards that will deprive you of the future benefits which quality project can give to you. If you invest your time in good project today, even if the rewards look small, if you can hodl then future is certain. Be ready to sacrifice your today for your tomorrow.
What do you mean by huge reward with no value and small reward, huge value? Is a worker not due for his wages after completing a task? I think the best thing to happen is for project managers to fulfill all promises made on a project and whatever a bounty hunter or even the investors will do with their money is left to them
Personally , I lost nearly 1500$ from day trading. I do buy back theory now to recover the loss and invest on potential ico's. now i am going on a slowly steady way , if we get greedy then we end up with nothing.
whats your solutions do you do for cover the loss?
The solution I will profer is that you should first, not ponder so much on the failure and losses or make the mistake of not leaving it behind. Then, you can invest in bits. Dont put all your eggs In one basket. And dont be greedy. Just take one step at a time
Reasons why i prefer mining coins than investing a dime on IEO/ICO projects 1. My profits is assured. I dont have to wait for a project to do x3 or whatsoever to get profits on my invested cash, with better mining rigs and good calculator you will know when your ROI will come.
2. No worries of getting scammed I dont have to investigate an exchange before investing or wasting time doing research on projects before investing, all i do is mine ETH and sell for fiat or decides to hold for a little while.
It's good that you prefer mining to investing in ICO/IEO... some other people like me just prefer investing in ICO/IEO.
I was searching for some bounty campaigns that accept newbies like myself. Do you know of any that recently started ( in the last 7 days for example ). It's a mess in the Bounty thread..
I think you should focus your energy on building your rank. Bounty campaigns available for newbies are not so much when compared to those available for other ranks. When you increase your rank, you will stand a better chance
I just find out that some coins might start with very low volume and marketcap and end up growing big? true or false? i tracked back some old coins that start with trading volume around 6k and end up in millions, is this still possible today?
It is very possible. The same way it's possible for a coin to decrease in value and not worth much is the same way market can be turned around to favour invested coins such that they grow so much even beyond expectations of the investor. Yes! It is still possible to have that in today's market. Anything is possible
Most of the bounty hunters do not get payment despite their hard working and some gets a little with shit token. Can we prevent it? Just an idea.
What if we everybody stop to promote a project which offers only token? For launching a project, the project owner or developer should have some money to promote the project. Say for example- they have to escrow a minimum of 40% of the bounty allocation in term of usd or btc. Only then we can prevent scam ico and bounty hunter will get their money. Can we start following this rule?
Before investors are everywhere in crypto currency specially mid 2017 but everything change Ico's started to boom in the internet, you can choose a lot of ico that you like, but then started to change , there are ico that are scam, running with investors money in a snap, lending platforms also can be seen, the same happens they suddenly disappear we have already have a very good market if there are no scammers they change everything, now investors are so hesitant whenever there is a new coin that are good but they opted out because they think its a scam, I think we should find a way to lessen or better eliminate them for good.
I know for now, there is no known way of knowing or identifying scam projects but I just which someone develops an app or something that will identify them. Sincerely, investors cannot be blamed in this instances because no one even starts a business and prays to fail or make losses. Something has to be done about this issue of scam projects
Considering that most people nowadays often find it hard to store and protect their cryptocurrencies, it's best to delegate the responsibility to a middleman. A bank of crypto would fit the bill nicely, as people would be able to secure their cryptocurrencies without ever having to follow the necessary precautions to prevent hacks or theft. As long as the bank of crypto is highly regulated by the government, then it'll be here to stay for a long time. Still though, not everyone will agree to this as it greatly defeats the whole purpose of crypto and Blockchain technology. The idea of a bank providing crypto services would only prove to be viable for newcomers into cryptocurrency. People who're experienced in crypto, wouldn't need this in the first place.
Nonetheless, do you think that a Bank of Crypto will happen anytime soon? If so, why?
Having a bank of crypto will defeat the original goal of cryptocurrency. I dont think people might want to welcome the idea
Hi, recently so many past-ICOs turned into a scam or a deadcoin. Is there anything what we can do to punish them? More than 2 years ICOs are scamming us and still people are investing, is this really a world what we want to create?
I dont think there is any instituted body at the moment that can help punish scam ICOs. The only thing one can do is to avoid getting scammed by putting all precautions in place because if you eventually get scammed, the only person to blame will be you
The secure nature of data transfer through blockchain makes blockchain a prime factor for the next generation security and anonymity and the US airforce doesn't want to lag behind any other forces. They seemed to have made contracts with two popular blockchain firms to develop a blockchain primarily for communication among units and stations.
Waoh! This is indeed a very beautiful development. I believe many other government bodies will still adopt it with time. And more development will find it's way into the cryptospace, making it widely acceptable in all the countries of the world in the future

Re: there are still many who invest in cryptocurrency?
as we know that in 2017 many ICO were successful (at least reached softcap) and of course the market cap was also very high at the time, so it proves that many people are interested to investing in cryptocurrency, but now where do these investors go? because now the market cap is down and many ICO or IEO are failing (not reaching softcap), are investors no longer interested to investing in cryptocurrency? if yes, where are they investing now? or is there a more profitable investment than investing in cryptocurrency for now?
There are still investors in cryptocurrency, infact alot of them. But everyone is trying to be careful about investing into new projects so they dont run at loss if those projects eventually do not reach their soft cap and investors lose money afterwards. People still invest, just that it is done with so much caution
