I'm worried! got a problem! after installing your wallet and client to connect a domain name from the service http: //dns-free.com my antivirus detects the Yandex service process as a Trojan.
now I'm trying a certified provider of domain name services https://dyn.com/dns/

Hi Tamara,

Sorry to hear that you may have been infected by a trojan horse from some russian dns provider. Your report of this is important, though a bit unfortunate, I did mention a certain website, but ok, people can choose whatever dns provider they want and this indeed may be a point of attack and infection/worries and other misschief. I will take your report into consideration into the next phase of design for this coin system.

Do you run your software inside a virtual machine ? Or was this your main operating system that may have been infected ?

@DelphiniumCoin Hey! I got a domain name tamara163.dnsalias.ru should I change the port to 4100 or do a port transfer?

Hi Tarama,

Leave port as default (4100), that will be fine for now !

Thanks for trying to get this working.

I have added your DNS to my peer list, so perhaps soon we will connect if we both happen to be "online" Smiley

I do not understand the wallet has many accounts but why nobody give nodes ? this looks weird.

Hi Tamara,

The accounts are stored in the disk.

If you want to see nodes then goes to the Node Stats tab.

This is still a very new coin.

No nodes yet Smiley

DelphiniunCoin is a fork of PascalCoin:

Current version 3.0.1.1 (it needs testing Wink)

Distribution:

https://github.com/DelphiniumCoin/DelphiniumCoin

Thread:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5043325.msg46479522#msg46479522

Discord:

https://discord.gg/ybQqmRq

DelphiniumCoin now allows you to connect manually to each other's computers via Project->Peer List.

(A blockchain/safebox is also included with the distribution but must be installed manually, once installed this will allow you to run the miner locally if GPU and OpenCL is present).

Once connected to other peers, the safebox with most work done will win ! Smiley

Anybody interested in hosting this software on their computer with either static ip or dns name referring to pc should contact me then your dns can be added to software default settings.

(Or publish your DNS on the thread).

(This software comes in 32 bit and 64 bit versions, with miner ready to go and also some integer calculation fixes Smiley also accounts only expire after 200 years of inactivity.)

So you forked PascalCoin and put your name on it?

I will download it for sure.

DNS or public IP?  My DNS is 8.8.8.8.  Feel free to add it to the software.

I'm running Linux on ARMHF PC.  Snapdragon 801 to be exact.

Update:

It doesn't work.  It shows an icon of a wine glass and when I click on the .EXE it shows what's inside it.
The readme needs to be updated.   Huh Huh

Skybuck go flying.  Where is the source code?

https://i.postimg.cc/W1r874jv/pascalium.png

Maybe my computer has a virus.  Anything is possible.  I bought it at the Apple Store.

https://i.postimg.cc/HsfjbwT6/Screenshot-from-2018-10-22-11-59-47.png

B-)

For GUI support you will probably have to use Wine on your Ubuntu Linux Smiley

if I place my ip here does it mean that it should be static?
another question is GPU or CPU mining? and if it is GPU then there is a chance to find blocks on CPU?

guys give please your ip in PM
just my ip changes daily

Hi Tamara,

You can solve the problem of daily IP changes as follows:

1. Visit http://freedns.afraid.org/pricing/

2. Register for free by selecting starter

3. Then setup a dynamic dns (domain name) for yourself, it only takes a few clicks, for example:

Once logged in with free account:

http://freedns.afraid.org/dynamic/

(Click add bottom right corner)

Choose a subdomain name for example: Tamara163

Your full DNS name will then be:

Tamara163.chickenkiller.com

Fill in captcha and click save.

4. Visit http://www.techknowpro.com/freedns/

5. Download FreeDNS Update v1.8.4 Setup

Fill in user name and password from register at step 2 and the rest is automatic.

Now other people can add this DNS to the peer list inside the wallet and will always find you if your wallet/delphiniumcoin is running/online.

Let me know if you have any problems trying this (it's pretty cool really Wink)

For your other questions:

DelphiniumCoin uses OpenCL to mine coins. If you have driver OpenCL driver for CPU then that could work as well.

However the difficulty was quite high last time because somebody mined with powerfull GPU, though you could try as long as you are alone/solo running this coin system.

I just had an interesting idea.

I will reward some of my coins to the first users that get this running ! =D

Let's start with 10 coins per new user for now Wink Smiley =D

you can learn more about this item

:
what does mother's internet address and something special mean
I don't get network connections with this version https://image.ibb.co/nxSgVf/42.png

Hi Tamara,

"mother" and such... these were just examples Smiley

Try to figure out your public IP address and then post it here if you feel secure.

Compare your public IP address to your local IP address. (The software does not yet show this kind of information, but try using google to learn about this).

Or wait till somebody else posts their public IP address.

For example,

Suppose my IP address was 1.2.3.4 and I would publish it here.

Then you can add it to the "peer list" via project->peer list.

Just add a new line to the white box so it says:

1.2.3.4

Then click save and click apply.

This should then cause your delphiniumcoin to try and connect to 1.2.3.4 at default tcp port 4100.

If the other person wants to change the default port in his software in the options to something else for example 9999.

Then that person would have to publish as follows:

1.2.3.4:9999

And then you enter that instead into the box.

I hope you understand if not let me know also if you have any further questions.

Also try "unchecking" explore... at the main screen to see other accounts.

If there are no other accounts then you can try and install the blockchain/safebox, then you can run the miner and maybe even get a head start... that be nice for you ! =D

* Update *:

Oh nice, you installed safebox successfully since it says number of accounts 4000+ on screenshot... cool !

21 october 2018:

DelphiniumCoin version 3.0.1.1 is now available !

This new version includes:

1. Peer list form for connecting to other computers manually.
2. Relaxed server port logic. Peers can now run on a different port if so required/desired.
3. Blockchain/safebox data included with distribution in case it cannot be downloaded because no peers are running, this will allow the network to be booted by anybody.

As always get the latest software and readme file here:

https://github.com/DelphiniumCoin/DelphiniumCoin

(Also see first posting in this thread for updated information )

Enjoy !

Today I performed some more tests, from wi-fi hotspot to somewhere else/cable modem.

From these test I learned that windows security center and windows firewall must be running (with that the services I mean)

If windows firewall is off (with this I mean the windows firewall is stopped) then inbound connections udp and tcp apperently don't work.

Why this is I will have too look into, perhaps this is some windows security feature or architectural thing.

if I understand correctly need to disconnect from the router and connect the cable directly to connect the network?
otherwise I have it

Hello Tamara,

I am not sure if you would have connection issues.

Currently DelphiniumCoin will not work (not connect) because I have "paused" it.

Check back regularly to see when it's running again.

Bye,
  DelphiniumCoin =D
OK thanks! I hope you will succeed and the project will live! I like something new and I understand this is not a fork.

Have you tried to also probably bring in another dev to have a look, to assist in fixing this problem. However, am hoping the pause won't be for long, all the best.

Hi,

I want to try and implement a solution before monday, if not then I may try and find a different solution on tuesday.

Though there may be some delay, not sure if I will allow delay, depends on how the implementation goes, if it's promising then some delay is acceptable.

Bye,
  DelphiniumCoin.

Yes thank you very much for testing out DelphiniumCoin... your mined coins will stay on the blockchain ! Wink

I am not sure what happened to the miner that was mining, a possibility is that there was some connection corruption and this caused some kind of receive error, which may have caused the miner
to end up on the blacklist.

I will try and add a new GUI to see what is on the blacklist to diagnose this.

Also this friday a network engineer will come and check cable connections, I don't expect a quick fix, but who knows.

Also maybe a new host/server will come.

For now I will pause DelphiniumCoin again until a more permanent solution is found/introduced ! Smiley

Which could be anything really ! Wink

(I also kinda wonder if this miner used a modified pascalcoin or a true DelphiniumCoin client, I think later but not sure, mysterious =D)

16 october 2018 DelphiniumCoin just (re-)launched for second time !

This is more or less a test launch, but any coins mined will stay forever on this block chain !

This coin system may have troubles from wi-fi hotspots and/or other NAT-ed internet systems.

Some more NAT testing will be done.

Make sure to allow delphiniumcoin through your firewall, a dialog should pop up asking for permission on windows.

Before download latest 3.01 version make sure to delete all older versions and installations.

(Any roaming/user data folder can be left intact, delphiniumcoin will re-use data/user settings/folder and such, this ok, this is where wallet will be so don't delete any "roaming" or "users folders")

Resetted cable modem to do some experiments to see if cable modem would then be accessable via special ips, but not accessable.

Then proceeded to do some testing with this tool:

https://hackertarget.com/udp-port-scan/

For example this tool will send some UDP packets to port 69 and this was received just fine on my computer even with firewall up.

Perhaps resetting cable modem might have had some effect.

Still need to test tcp/ip with somebody who is not behind NAT and has a good internet connection setup.

* Little update on cable modem situation *:

Network engineer replaced coax/green cable wall socket, noise from TV is now gone, pretty cool.

Still can't enter cable modem menu, but thats's ok for now, not required.

I have a different explanation for the dropped internet packets.

The white cable connecting the splitter to the cable modem was slightly loose on the splitter side.

I attached it firmly.

I did notice tv signal became a bit worse on snowy channel but that might be by chance it fluctuates a bit.

The loose cable modem cable does not explain the bad tv signal on one channel, so there may be something to it.

I remain a bit skeptical though. Perhaps they known something I don't.

I think either their encoding changed slightly or some external device is at cause, but soon I will known the thruth Smiley

Latest hypothesis is it's a disruption in the signal from the wall socket.

One of the analog TV channels had snow, another TV channel also started developing a little bit of snow.

Called the ISP/TV company.

They will send new splitter, which splits TV signal and Internet signal.

69 million packets were being dropped in the last 16 days according to the log from the cable modem, which surprisingly was accessable buy the guy on the phone, perhaps partially perhaps fully (cable modem menus accessbility) not sure about that.

This may be the cause of this connectivity problem.

I am very skeptical though, cause I can barely notice it when web surfing or gaming.

Technically TCP/IP should keep re-trying until a connection is established though it does time-out after a while.

I am not convinced that this is truely the cause of the problem.

But it will be nice if the TV signal is better and to start ruling out possible causes.

Another hypothesis is CGNAt, carrier grade NAT.

Diagnosis... to be continued...

Following services are running on my Windows 7 computer, would love it if somebody repeats this setup and then tries and connect to the computer from an outside computer/outside internet connection to see if it works:

Application Experience
Application Information
Base Filtering Engine
COM+ Event System
Creative Audio Service (soundblaster)
Cryptographic Services
DCOM Server Process Launcher
Desktop Window Manager Session Manager
DHCP Client
DNS Client
Encrypting File System (EFS)
Function Discovery Provider Host (normally this is off but was started manually apperently)
Group Policy Client
Multimedia Class Scheduler
Network Connections
Network List Service
Network Location Awareness
Network Store Interface Service
Plug and Play
Power
Remote Procedure Call (RPC)
RPC Endpoint Mapper
Security Accounts Manager
Software Protection  (normally this is off I think, not sure, it's probably not needed, it's on manual)
System Event Notification Service
Task Scheduler
Themes
User Profile Service
VHD Attach (custom tool/service)
Windows Audio
Windows Audio Endpoint Builder
Windows Event Log
Windows Font Cache Service
Windows Management Instrumentation

All are set to automatic except these ones:

Windows Font Cache Service  - automatic delayed start.

Application Experience manual
Application Information manual
Function Discovery Provider Host manual
Network Connections manual
Software Protection manual
Windows Management Instrumentation manual

Perhaps this weird "can't connect to computer from outside" can be repeated with these settings.

Or perhaps some windows update screwed up winsock somehow so it's not working correctly anymore for when connections come from outside.
Or bit rott, though these last couple of hypothesis are unlikely.

One possible idea is to replace PC with for example laptop and repeat test procedure to see if it's indeed the PC at fault for connection failure.

Hmmm very strange situation for now.

(While writing this I had this idea: I could try booting linux if my DVD drive still working and run software from there, in case windows is biting me in the ass with these services, might attempt this later, would have to cross-compile to linux or use wine)

Bye for now,

Perhaps the problem is with my Windows 7 services configuration:

I turned off these services, since they do not seem required for playing World of Warships and other games like Company of Heroes via game ranger:

But perhaps these services are somehow required for when an outside computer tries to connect to my computer, very weird hypothesis:

IP Helper
IPSec Policy Agent
IKE and AuthIP IPsec Keying Modules
