Re: Forks Are Bad, I Think Greed is Behind Them
by

Forks are called to be caused by disagreements, but for sure most forks have big greed behind them. However, we don't see as many forks in 2018 as it was in 2017, as less people react to them. Accordingly, forks don't create as big increase in the coin price as it was before.

Re: Bitcoin still involves too much to deceptive behavior!

There are too many negative news about cryptocurrency and bitcoin in particular nowadays. Anyone reading any of those negative news may decide not to even join cryptocurrency at all. What we do when we see these negative news or scam is important. As cryptocurrency enthusiasts, we can counter them with facts and advise people to ignore it, we can also expose and report scam where necessary.

Some news sources create FUD specifically so that the owners of these news channels can join the game at low prices. It's better to be guided by statistics than rely on news. Though fundamentals are important, there's almost no connection in between fundamentals and news that "they" are trying to feed people with.

Re: Is bitcoin a tulip bubble? What are their essential differences?
by
DennyPen
on 22/11/2018, 13:36:20 UTC
The difference is that btc is a part of technology and can be accepted as storage of value. That couldn't be said about tulips, so these differences are fundamental. On the other side, there's quite a chance that sooner or later, btc will be de-throned.

Re: Which Reason Do You Think Will Make Cryptocurrency Prices Plunge Again -CoinNess

Now a days its really difficult to decide the future of cryptos as the value of BTC is quite low now.

What we are expecting guys? Still hopeful?

Sure! Look at the previous cycles - the picture repeats! Cycles are becoming longer, but the trend still goes on. Difficulties are temporary. Be patient.

These problems are all temporary. Finally, though some miners prefer to turn off when they get no profit, it's not a big deal to work for the future.

I do not think it's over. I think this round will be down sharply to prepare for a new cycle, maybe next year or a few years

There's some chance we are already at the bottom. That's definitely now the end of btc. In the next 1-2 weeks, we must see some kind of bounce.

Re: Does holding really make us avoid losses?
by
DennyPen
on 17/11/2018, 16:11:35 UTC
It depends on what you hold and WHY you hold. In general case, there must be a reason that makes you hold. If there's no such reason, that you're making a blind call.

Re: Do you HODL because you believe the price will go up? Or are you lost too much?
by
DennyPen
on 17/11/2018, 16:10:09 UTC
In most cases, it depends on the risk/reward ratio. Being a bagholder is no good, but it's always better to hold for some time, even month or 1-2 years, then sell, if the loss is too much. I don't see any argument in selling at 80-99% loss. In such cases, it's better to forget about your coins and give them a chance (or put reasonable orders on exchanges).

Re: Bitcoin will be replace by ALTS in the future?
by
DennyPen
on 17/11/2018, 16:07:53 UTC
The share of altcoins grow, but that's more because many new alts appear every day and take some share of btc. In my opinion, btc won't be replace by any of the alts existing today except for ripple/ethereum/eos, especially ripple and eos, which both have enormous money behind them. Ripple is the no.1 candidate. Just watch how it will move along 2019 and 2020.

Re: Did you ever regret having gotten into Bitcoin?
by
DennyPen
on 17/11/2018, 16:05:35 UTC
If you invest/spend the amount of money that you can afford to lose, you mustn't regret, as it was your conscious action, possible results of which you could anticipate. I invested a little, I lose and I win, but never regret, as regretting has nothing to do with the right mindset of successful investor, trader or just man.

Re: Is Bitcoin for the people or for the corporations?
by

on 17/11/2018, 16:03:27 UTC
At this stage, btc plays a role of enrichment mechanism. It rewards patient players and grabs money from the impatient. Corporations may not be successful, but the majority of losers are impatient individual investors that can't or have no ability to catch the right moment.

Re: Are stock markets the reason for the crash?
by
DennyPen
on 17/11/2018, 16:01:37 UTC
I think people draw more of a correlation between the stock exchange and crypto than necessary.

Correct. There's no super-relation, especially considering most people joined crypto in the second half of 2017, and a fair share of them know nothing about stocks Smiley

Stock markets play according to their cycles, which are not relevant to btc cycles. Of course, stocks do affect btc, but they don't define the whole direction. Regarding the current situation: we are now experiencing a bear market, and it's far from its end. So whether you correlate stock and btc or not, the downtrend will continue for a while.

That not really look like a capitulation candle, but for sure the next months from now is the best time to buy. If the downtrend continues, we may see 4k, but I'm almost sure we won't fall deeper.

Re: HAS BITCOIN REALLY STOOD THE TEST OF TIME?
by

Btc is already time-tested, but it will have to pass a lot of tests in the future. Hopefully, it will remain the currency no.1 and won't be outperformed by money-supported crypto like XRP.

Re: 99 Percent of Cryptocurrencies are Worth Zero? What the hell?
by

on 14/11/2018, 09:19:39 UTC
The value of any crypto is about the demand and supply. Too many coins were hyped in late 2017, but they did almost nothing from that time to show their real applicability. Sad to say, but most of them won't reach new heights.

Re: Bitcoin solid value
by

on 14/11/2018, 09:17:50 UTC
The actual value of btc is determined only by the market. And it's in the very nature of btc. So the solid value is around $6500 for now. However, that's only the beginning or let's say, the mid in the worst case.

Re: Fidelity entering the crypto world

I heard that they admitted that they have been engaged in Bitcoin mining for a long time. I think that they have much more cryptocurrency than we think. I wonder what the next news from them will be.
Really? They mined crypto before?
If so, then it says a lot.
First of all it means that such serious organizations were interested in Bitcoin much earlier than we thought. And they even took care of getting cryptocurrencies in advance.
That's great.

I tend to think almost every serious financial organization has already taken btc into radar. The problem is that most of them don't announce that and deal with btc not publicly.
