Can't believe this thread died off so quickly, it was a great way for people to try and increase their knowledge whilst getting a chance to add some merit. Please re-instate.

Been trying out GPTCash since the first Airdrop and the wallet works extremely smoothly, I have to say that POS rewards so far have been awesome, I hope this continues as the network grows.

Re: Do you think this year will be bad year for ICOS?
by
DesertOasis3
on 17/10/2018, 06:15:20 UTC
It's been proven to be a disastrous time to try and launch ICO during 2018 most have failed to reach the set hardcap amounts and have flopped badly after arriving on the DEX exchanges. We can only hope that 2019 is going to be a much better year for new crypto launches.

Re: Your favorite coin to invest (new vote)

I have bought a few of the coins in the list recently to take advantage of their weak prices NEO, OMG, ZIL, ADA, WAN bought my favourite coin for investment isn't in that list they are a recent ICO coin and will be unlocking and hitting exchanges in the next month. Keep an eye out for SHR they are launching a Shared economy platform for companies and individuals to list their products. I think this will be one of the first blockchain projects that makes it to the masses, not just the current crypto investors.

Re: ICO downturn

I think it is too early to call an end to the ICO investment opportunities for regular investors. The Bear market of 2018 has proven to be a poison chalice for those trying to launch projects and I don't think any have approached anywhere close t0 their Hardcap targets. The conditions are not supportive of ICO right now but that could all change in a Heartbeat when the market turns around.

I do not think that anything untoward will occur if the market cap of all crypto drops below $200 billion we are still in a Bear market although the general direction of things is sideways and not continually down. 2018 is likely to turn out to be a year of consolidation and shaking out the weak investors, other shrewd people are taking advantage of these depressed prices and opening new positions that will increase greatly when the next Bull phase begins.

Re: [10-13-2018] 17 cannabis cryptocurrencies to get high on
by

I have been watching with interest as a new breed of crypto projects come to the market, they are not simple coins and a way to send money to each other but rather supporting an economy in exchange for real products. The idea of these coins paying a dividend or profit share, however, is risky as it put them in the class of "Security".

Re: Most trusted altcoins?
by

My personal preference for altcoin investment at the moment is to pick on any of the top 25 established coins from coinmarketcap and simply sit on them and wait for a recovery. Beyond that, I am looking at some of the new breed of coins that are backing working projects and can simplify crypto involvement for the masses.

Re: Projects are abusing blockchain technology.

I don't see your argument I am sorry. Blockchain is much more than cryptocurrency it is a distributed ledger that can revolutionise the way transactions are recorded and make databases more resilient. There is a good chance that some scam artists have pretended to launch a project to steal money from people but don't confuse that with the various application that Blockchain can fit.

Re: price of litecoin before 2019.
by

I think the power of Litecoin has been severely diminished and it has never been the same since Justin Lee sold a huge number of his coins. I don't think Litecoin will rise much above $100 now in the future and unlikely to pass $65 for the remainder of this year.

Re: Will Ripple XRP be the number one cryptocurrency
by

No I don't think this will happen at all this year, it is unlikely that the altcoin will rise much without Bitcoin rising in value first, which in effect will widen the gap between Bitcoin and the rest of the coins.

Re: 150 ETH OR 9.5 BTC?
by

Right now I would much rather have 9.5 BTC as it is worth almost double what the Ethereum is worth, shows just how far ETH has fallen in the interim since your original post

Private key is the source to recover your wallet should your machine crash and the original DAT files be wiped and without any backups. Keep it on a cold storage USB or simply on a piece of paper secured under lock and key somewhere.

I would like to agree with you but unfortunately, I think the current sideways phase is set to continue for the remainder of 2018 and it won't be until the first quarter of 2019
that the Bear market actually ends. Expect to see Bitcoin still in the 6,000 - 7,000 range for the rest of the year.

Re: Hold your coins in multiple wallets

I like this idea and have been holding Etherum and ERC-20 tokens in 5 different wallets since the start of 2018. The other security measure that I take is to use a strong and secure password over 15 Characters and including specials which would take hundreds of years to try and brute force.

Re: Is it worth the work and waiting?
by
DesertOasis3
on 03/10/2018, 05:31:00 UTC
It may not seem worth it right now and I can totally sympathise with you that the value of Bounty when it is received has been totally decimated from what we would have been receiving in 2017. This will hopefully rectify itself when the market improves and the value of those token increase to a more palatable level. So if you are relying on Bounty as a source of income then it is going to be really difficult to budget, if you can afford to put them on one side and wait for conditions to improve you will benefit.

Re: Have you make money from ICO?
by

I was making money during 2017 and also until February this year by investing in ICO but since then trying to make money from ICO has been a fruitless task. Most of them have dropped in value by 30% or greater straight after launching.

You can easily get into the altcoin market right now and without much research, you are pretty much guaranteed to make money over a 12 month period. Try and stick with the quality coins however and pick anything from the top 25 coins on coinmarketcap.

Re: What makes you trust a new cryptocurrency?
by

There have been some dodgy cryptos Bitconnect comes to mind as one big Ponzi scheme so anything that seems too good to be true from the get-go I would steer clear of. Beyond that, I would check into a new coin before investing, which exchanges it has already been listed upon and the usage case and then make a decision if I think it hs any chance to appreciate.

Re: What business industry will benefit the most from cryptocurrency?
by
DesertOasis3
on 29/09/2018, 03:50:32 UTC
I don't think that anyone can accurately answer that question right now. The next generation of crypto businesses are just getting started and they are more likely to be traditional companies that are integrating Blockchain technology into the way they do business and using crypto as a fast and secure medium of exchange. Keep a lookout for ShareRing as they are launching in November and likely to do well from crypto.
