Question for Nitrogen rep:

When will bets on the Presidential Election pay off? Will it be when CNN projects a winner? When congress validates electoral college votes ~ Jan 6? Upon inauguration?

Thanks

This is a listing of returns on a weekly basis
Returns shown below assume you did not divest during the week
All returns are calculated at the same time each week
Starting Date: 08/19/2016

Week of 08/19/2016: -1.310%
Week of 08/26/2016: +1.742%
Week of 09/02/2016: +0.208%
Week of 09/09/2016: -0.350%

Thank you Ranlo. Now that you are doing this I don't have to spend so much time updating my own spreadsheet. (Maybe I'll just update it every few weeks.) You might think about incorporating these stats into the website in some sort of inconspicuous way - because I'm probably not alone in spending more time on MP than on Bitcointalk. Anyway ... thanks.

It is not cheating. I've played on many sites, and have seen some cheating here and there. There are just some very very loose players on FJ. Also if you have an overwhelmingly large stack it can make sense, against the right opponent, to just shove over and over. Because as the largest stack you only have to win once in order to get all the chips. So you are actually ahead when you consider the odds of winning one hand on x6 shoves, even with inferior hands. Or more likely he was just some drunk crazy Argentinian ...

Bottom line, I've found the cash games extremely loose and profitable. And yes, those loose players will have their moments in the sun.

I have a question to the community. What is the best way to pay out profit shares to all stakeholder? I have my a good solution in mind, but I want to get your feedback too.

a) Direct profit payout to account
b) Buyback on the market

I stated before that my biggest concerns are that exchanges like Poloniex. What if they will not pay forward the profit shares to the rightful owners? Lets us assume we pay 0.10 USD per BlockPay token, and share drop that to all holders. How can we do that on Poloniex or Bittrix?

How are other coins doing that part? Ethereum, Plutos, etc.

Chris,

Three things are necessary to see the tokens 'successfully' appreciate:

A. Underlying businesses should prosper. (You should focus on this, and then broadcast the successes and milestones in order to generate interest & excitement.)
B. Issue a token with a finite issue. (You have too many tokens on the shelf - look for excuses to burn them, in a verifiable burn account.)
C. Have the token intrinsic to the function of your product, or have them share in profits in a predictable, contractual way - this is what you are enquiring about.

My initial thought is that, at this early stage you really need all cashflow to continue to grow, so frankly you don't have cash to give back to token holders. I would like to see you focus thus:

A: Grow the underlying business, and brag/publish your success milestones in order to facilitate token price appreciation.
B: Burn excess tokens as aggressively as you dare - and tie the burn rate to Blockpay++ expansion, if you like.

My 2.

When the ICO start?
I believe this is a great project .

OP said the ICO will start on 12 Sep. Coincidentally that is about the same time that the Augur REP will be distributed and likely listed.

Is it true that Gnosis will require Ethereum to hard fork in order to be functional?

Phase1:   600,000 tokens   @ 1:1.20 OPENPOS tokens/each   Special Buyback   Ended
Phase2:   1,400,000 tokens   @ 0.000288 BTC tokens/each   42.40% Discount   Sold out
Phase3:   3,000,000 tokens   @ 0.000360 BTC tokens/each   28% Discount   Running
Phase4:   2nd ICO   @ 0.000500 BTC tokens/each   Initial Price

Just an observation; if the next round is going to be sold for 0.0005 BTC per token, then the price of BLOCKPAY should not exceed 0.0005 BTC until after phase 4 right? I mean you would be mad to buy now for more than the phase 4 price?

I think he retracted that price point ... doesn't really make sense on its face as anyone can see.

I think the next freeroll is in a hour, have not played this site yet but would like to see how the rng runs.
Looks like we need 30 players to run this, sign up fellas as the payouts look decent.

They need 30 players minimum to run, which means they will never run. This site is dead on arrival. RIP

Hackers building a meta database of crypto-currency users?
by
Deuceisgood
on 02/09/2016, 00:52:43 UTC
So much data has been stolen from so many disparate sources, and it seems a number of websites or schemes pop up with no other real purpose other than to collect data on users. Data has been taken from multiple exchanges - data on tens of thousands of users. If a reasonably funded hacking ground is collating and data mining just a fraction of this, they could zero in on the community for all sorts of nefarious campaigns.

I'm growing more wary, not only of leaving my coins on central exchanges (Bitfinex, Polo, you name it), but even signing up for a new gambling site, or enrolling in new services with little to no track record.

Have you seen evidence that one or more hacking groups is data mining our community, or compiling community-wide data in preparation for some future attack vectors?

Their window of opportunity to hack centralized exchanges is likely closing - it should close eventually - and they must be looking toward the time when their attacks will have to be along another vector.

I would recommend that the site owner explore a connection with Moneypot, such that moneypot users can easily transfer balances back and forth, and provide some advertising on the MP site. You might even run FR using Rubies, a currency launched by Betterbets - another MP app. Just trying to be helpful ...

Next FR will run 2 hrs from now. Minimum 25 players, prize pool is 20 chips (20 mbtc). I think it is tough to get 25 real players to show up to games at a new site. Normally for a game like this you will have some multi-accounter sign in 10-20 accounts just so the tourney will run. But because Hityourbit monitors closely, as they should, it becomes extremely unlikely that 25 people will show.

There are a number of other, better established FR running at that same time, includng Fortunejack and Nitrogen Sports.

If the FR doesn't run with Min 25 players, I'd like to suggest a 5-10 chip FR with 5-10 player minimum.

Beyond that, to be honest, you are not likely to get much action. There are simply too many places to play, and too few players. I will only play live on one site at a time, and even I have three go-to sites before considering to sit at an empty table on a new site.

I'll be stopping in from time to time - helps that mavens is familiar and browser based - and hope Hityourbit can get some action going. It will be tough though. Site owners will have to bleed red for some time, and hope/pray to build a loyal user base over time. Many sites have tried and failed over the last few years ... and many looked very much like Hityourbit.

Never mind, it doesn't sound like anyone here has a clue, just want to chatter up their sig campaign.

Ridiculous argument. My signature campaign posts are limited to 20 and I've met that a long time ago already. I know it's difficult, but you have to admit that what you are asking for in the title does not suit what is in the description of your post. What you are looking for is account recovery, not account hacking.

Oh, I see you have changed it now, smooth.

Blah blah blah. You are posting 20x per day, but not to max out your Yobit campaign? You prolly have an alt-coin to sell us too, lol. You weren't on my ignore list, but you earned it with this last post.

Welcome.

Yes, i use bitcoinget. I used the side for arround 9 Mounth and earn more than 1 btc.
You can earn with Crowdflower tasks and with Surveys.
Minimum payout is 0.0005 btc (500 bits). Payout every 24hours. Two times in the 9 Mounth the withdrawal take more than 24hours (48hours).
The Side is really nice and works very good. Please use the Link in my sig. Thank you!  Smiley

I looked closely at Bitcoinget (BCG), and its payrates are awful. Dollarrewardz (DR) doesn't pay the best, and charges a 7% withdrawal fee for btc, but still compares well with BCG:

Job #     DR Payrate       BCG Payrate@current US$576/btc    variance

940383       7pts/US$0.07      80bits/US$0.046                  -34%
906197       18pts/US$0.18    200bits/US$0.115                 -36%
924662       14pts/US$0.14    160bits/US$0.092                 -34%
942343       7pts/US$0.07      80bits/US$0.046                  -34%
942742       7pts/US$0.07      80bts/US$0.046                   -34%

DEV.

I asked you but got no reply and I sent you about 10 messages on skype. Do we still have a deal where I get back 45% of the btc I invest. If we are still on I am ready to go forward and invest the 200 btc we discussed.

Dude. That echo you hear is a polite, but resounding 'NO.' You are entitled to neither a response nor a dialogue.

Yoda: Invest or do not, there is no 'deal where I get back'

Lately a lot of strange services are coming out in this forum and I see the latest trend is Cyber sex. I think moderators should add a new sub forum that will contain all of the +18 topics there for easy browsing. Many people also sell porn in digital goods and I think it would be better all this sort of stuff to be in a dedicated sub forum..

Yes, and on that sub-forum they should allow racier pics/gifs and such. I'm guessing it will likely get some decent traffic ... lol.

Re: Recover a Yahoo Mail acct?

Well, the husband told me they tried to contact Yahoo but couldn't get a hold of anybody ... ran into a brick wall. The account was used by his wife, who is Filipino and likely used the account mostly to communicate with family back home. So:

A. anybody who helped me recover the password could themselves look in the account and see firsthand that what I've said is true.
B. Likely if they don't speak tagalog most of the mail in the account will be unintelligible anyways.
C. It sounds like an old account, and the couple/lady likely did not change their password often, so if this account was part of some big hack some time ago, the e-mail/password combination might be floating around out there on the dark markets.

Never mind, it doesn't sound like anyone here has a clue, just want to chatter up their sig campaign.

Almost this entire thread is a perfect example of how signature spam can really ruin this site. I'm going to take someone's advice and put several (not all) respondents from this thread on ignore, because their response is completely useless and obviously only to allow them to spam their sig.

Welcome to my ignore list guys.

Have you asked them to consider contacting yahoo or contacting their customer support directly ? I know gmail accounts can be recovered in cases like these. I would suppose that  Yahoo being a multi-million company would also have something in place.

You would think. The guy said he found it impossible. He gave a long narrative on his efforts ... I don't recall the specifics.
