the wallet causing 100% CPU usage!!!!

true, good thing too. Haven't used 100% of that bad boy for some time now.

Looks like gen=1 is set by default in the scoin.conf file. Set it to gen=0 (unless you WANT to try to solo CPU mine). Smiley

so the entire premise of this coin is awesome. I'm trying to mine it. Not really sure if I am though, kind of like watching grass grow. throwing 1.2Mhs at it but I've never soloed before. I just moved the .conf file included with the client into app data, is that right? Thanks for any help.

You have to open the conf file and change the username and psw values.
Then uses the same user and psw in cgminer, and localhost (127.0.0.1) instead of a pool address.

There you go! Be Billionaire! Cheesy
that

Thanks but no worky. i changed the conf to the exact specs in OP minus my user and pass. set up a copy of a batch file that I use regularly for other stuff and replaced with both localhost and 127.0.0.1 and I'm getting no love. Cgminer is telling me pool down or credentials not valid so I have mussed this up sumwheres.

Not sure why it turned up. Our dev temp__ built and compiled using Windows NT. If you are not sure, please compile it from source at Github. I welcome you to check our sources for any malware. sCoin is a fork from latest Litecoin. Probably a false positive.

Also I recommend running it under virtual Linux (VMWare) on Windows if you are not sure.

Even a coin protesting US debt won't be able to beat US debt! Crazy!

When fully mined, that leaves 1159.7 scoins per person on the planet.
