Mr. Goldstein, you may not be aware, but there has been a previous scandal in our community with Javascript mining. These kids running a podcast used Javascript mining without asking permission - essentially stealing from their viewers. There was a HUGE expose on The Bitcoin Show if you want to read more about it.
So you can understand how this technology has gotten a bad reputation as facilitating theft. A Javascript miner that asks permission would be another story, but in any implementation you'd be working against the sour reputation the technology has acquired from imprudent use.

I thought the whole point of bitcoin was to create a revolutionary new currency. This is the problem with having something like MtG:OX as a centralized exchange for something that's supposed to be decentralized, you open it up to regulation and get people trying to control how it's used and restrict it's movement. The French court doesn't seem too kind on the idea of a new currency either.I have been hard at work on a product and software that is going to have great significance in the Bitcoin world. I am called a spammer by the guy that has a 2000x2000 banner in his signature file. I love this forum. Regardless I would like to see when/if he Open Sources it. There are some aspects of it that were appealing and I wanted to see how he did it.
Its scary that we don't remember things that happend last week, 9/11 was 10 years ago, and I still remember every detail of that day. I think every American was scarred that day, but its a scar that made us stronger to move forward.

It's just flat-out wrong though. BTC "soared"...then collapsed and hasn't risen again. It's also undergoing massive inflation, not deflation.
It was designed to be deflationary, not inflationary. This highlights a problem with the currency.
