Just fired up the external miner for the first time
Works very nicely and very simple
Kudos to all involved in the dev work
I had a thought after seeing this simple process
It is probably very familiar to anyone used to mining.
Therefore, instead of looking to getting BBP registered on more exchanges - would it not bring us more exposure to get BBP included on some of the big mining pools?
Especially as BBP is a CPU-only mining algo and would be an alt source of revenues for the GPU miners.
Just a thought and no idea what could be involved in getting this up and running

I had this error on a number of machines
They were on a fork
I had to delete all files in C:\Users\myUser\AppData\Roaming\BiblepayEvolution **EXCEPT** the biblepay.conf file and the wallet
Then start the wallet and wait for re-sync with the network
I had to add this line to the config file: Addnode=198.46.160.252

Another user on discord mentioned this exact same error too. The code says something about rollback but I have no idea what that means. You get the Abort, Ignore, Retry option? What happens if you click Ignore?

Well it looks like the biggest problem is half of the miners are still running classic. All the ones with 99.9% error rates appear to be on the wrong chain (1.2.0.1).
MillerPR is smoking somehow with 400,000 HPS (that is 4* higher than normal).
Yeah, Ill check this out also, Im prioritizing.
NOTE that even with this very high diff (> 50K), pool.biblepay.org solved 28 blocks! Thats almost double the normal.

I was using the default minersleep setting on the previous version / now set to minersleep = 0
This would explain the increase in HPS

I have just seen a tweet introducing Biblepay.
Twitter is a good medium. However, to me the initial message is wrong.
"What is Biblepay(BBP) - Fork of Dash - No premine - no ICO - deflationary"
This seems to be aimed at the crypto community - hardened crypto geeks.
I feel that this makes BBP just one more coin amongst thousands and unlikely to get a second glance.
I think, we should change the initial message to be something like:
What is Biblepay(BBP) - Christian charity coin aimed at supporting charity and orphans.
We need your help. Please help continue our Christian work.
Might catch the attention of some likeminded Christians.

I getting error : "PODCUpdate": "Unable to locate coins not marked as POG bankroll denominations."
Anyone have a suggestion on a fix for this.I have done several bankroll commands for POG & seemed to have effected my podc stakebalance. I can't get a PODC update to send for 3 days. Seems to be happening since wallet upgrade to 1198, but may just be a coincidence?
Someone mentioned a possible fix with a UTXO entry in biblepay.conf, but not sure what value to use. My totalrac is:

My cpid is over 15 years old. What do you mean it expires in six months? Why would it expire? Last time I did exec associate again I lost 1-2 days of podc payments. Are you going to reimburse everyone for the lost time if they have to do exec associate again?

Time is not lost, this is code development! and Rob is putting his precious time to support this project.
Your highest interest is to make him feel good to support us.
Our time and his time has very different value. He gets paid and we don't.

If I thought PoG would lead to a doubling of our active user base over the next year, I'd probably feel differently as user base would support the price and make up for the production cost deficiency. But I don't see Pog as being a magic bullet that will fix everything.
Make up in volume. Sometimes organizations go out of business thinking they can make it up on volume. Sometimes you can, but you really need a good plan to succeed and gain market share. I think PoG has that potential. Once the algo is locked down and proven to work (although I have my reservations currently), it'll be a marketing game. Good marketing includes word-of-mouth, so having more participants definitely helps with that. My concern is that greed is a very powerful motivator... and there will likely be many participants... but is that the kind of community we want to attract with BiblePay? It seems anti-thetical to Christian values.
If we want to support orphans, we need volume - EOS

On a side note the automatic option only tithes if its profitable (see titheinfo to see the ROI figure, its about 16% or so usually).
The only way to control it manually is to turn off auto (tithe=0) then send manual tithes, but of course that would be very tedious with the consistent high diff level.
To get a feel of the total per day see the "pog pool" and whatever your entry ends up being in 24 hours is roughly what the wallet is auto tithing.

EDIT: The max it will send is 300 bbp. Per auto tithe instance.
Other than that, you would have to shut it off as there is no governor per day at this point.

There is no such feature at the moment. Using some debug console commands you will be able to set minimum tithe you want.
