Which is the best payment method to use? Do we shoulder the fees if we pick BTC or Paypal?

For BTC, I think we shoulder the fees. For Paypal it's the merchant that shoulders fees.

Thank you for answering my questions. Is there an upvotes.io staff active here? I'd like to know how I can avail of the free upvotes test.

Is this still up and running? My google search shows upvotes.io as the number one result. Just want to check how their service is for those who tried.

Re: My coin list for 2018. I'm sure there will be a lot of growth. Do you agree?

I agree with Spectrecoin as a good pick, but I am also looking at Menlo One and WePower as my other 3 top picks. I won't go so much into detail, but the fact that Menlo One is a decentralized ICO marketplace and WePower is a renewable energy project both with teams that have proven their legitimacy is enough reason for me to believe that they will both take off.

Not sure why Menlo One or Eloncity seldomly get mentioned but I think that these projects are one of the best for this year as well.. A decentralized ICO marketplace and a renewable energy project with very responsible team members.

Righy now, I'm currently following OPP and MENLO this 2 projects have captured my interest in terms of having good success at the end of their token sale. The thing with the both of them is that they are security token which I think what the industry needs right now.

Yes I particularly like Menlo One because of its potential to gain mass adoption for being an ICO marketplace. What does security token mean though? I know that you are only required to submit KYC requirements once through menlo and you can then join all its ICOs without having to resubmit again and again. Is this related?

With all the news about scam ICOs out there, I think Menlo. One is the hottest ICO this year since it aims to solve such issue with the use of the proof of reputation algorithm. What I like about this project is that aims to help promising tokens that deserve financing by functioning as a decentralized ICO marketplace or ICO listing platform. Since most advertising platforms have banned ads related to cryptos, I can only imagine how expensive it is now to promote projects. On the other hand, they are fortunate that a platform such as Menlo One is here to help them grow. Their whitepaper can be viewed here https://www.menlo.one

Re: Do you believe in ICO Ratings?
by
DiscretePatriot
on 25/06/2018, 07:32:07 UTC
I believe ICO rating, although sometimes the result is not imaginary, but they helped us filter out a lot of scams.

I agree; not 100% accurate, but still helpful in exposing scam projects. This July, I will be moving to menlo.one as soon as its token sale launches and platform goes live. Menlo.one enables us to view ICOs, join/make discussions as well as reviews, buy tokens and manage our portfolio. I still need to do a little bit more research, but their CEO seemed sincere and knowledgeable about their project. Any thoughts about it?

Re: ICO is still legit?
by

Some legit ICOs are most definitely still around, although scams probably outnumber them nowadays.. It's easy to say "do proper research" but it's not easy at all especially for neophyte investors. Luckily, we have websites like ICObench helping us out in selecting good projects. Soon, we will have an ICO marketplace called Menlo.one which not only provides ICO reviews and discussions, but also the ability to actually buy tokens and manage our portfolio.

Re: ICO or buy later on exchange ?
by

on 18/06/2018, 14:03:51 UTC
I think the best way to make money is by investing in good ICOs, but there are a number of reasons why us retail investors are not able to catch all good ICOs and we sometimes end up choosing fraudsters instead... Sadly, this is the reason why I don't like ICOs nowadays since some of them end up just running away once they get their target profit.

Lately, I notice that there have been posts about Menlo One, an ICO marketplace that is set to launch its token sale this July. I'm skeptical since I can't tell which projects are legit and which aren't. Has anyone heard of this project? Here's a link to an interview vid with their CEO https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Rw1QBpBYE6o&t=427s

This project will soon change the ICO investor experience and will help crypto gain greater mass adoption! I can already picture out online shopping ICOs as if it were on Amazon.Hopefully, that's really gonna be how simple joining ICOs will soon be with Menlo One.

Just like to ask when will be the implementation of other currency? It says on paybear's website they will be implementing more cryptocurrencies, I would like to know if ETN is also included on that list. Thanks

I've been checking for updates on the Paybear site and haven't found much lately. Might be a little late to answer your question but they still don't accept ETN as of this time..

Good or bad predictions, they all don't matter. At the end of the day, nobody can predict the future no matter how much analysis you put into it. We can only anticipate what's going to happen next and place stop losses just in case.

Ripple might be manipulated and some hardcore crypto supporters here would never support it. However, if we talk about potential profits, I would go for Ripple.

I think personally, It's a good idea that they put mining on the phone,
there are interested people like me too I hope we get a big profit in mining on mobile. currently.

There is no big profit from mining on phones.. lol It sounds really fishy and I think it's main purpose is to steal personal information.

Re: How to Shut Up Bitcoin Haters
by

on 07/05/2018, 12:17:10 UTC
I think you do not have to think about people who hate bitcoin because it's not good for you, it's better for us to keep positive thinking and let them hate bitcoin because they do not know anything about bitcoin and they will regret it

I actually think that their 'hate' for Bitcoin is just displacement of their feelings of envy for having missed the biggest ride of their lives. I didn't make the most of it either, but I still see the potential of this technology rather than focus on its price action.

Re: What are the most common uses of Bitcoin?
by
DiscretePatriot
on 11/04/2018, 14:03:57 UTC
I am a newbie in Bitcoin Forum.I know some of the most important uses of Bitcoin. They are:
1.You can buy a flight ticket.
2.You can rent a hotel room.
3.you can buy pizza and other food related goods.
4.You can use it as a investment vehicle because bitcoin will continue to grow in value.

I want to know other important uses of it.

Bitcoin is first of all an investment asset. I don’t know the cryptocurrency that more popular than Bitcoin. And its development will be continued. Believe me. We will see like major banks will accept Bitcoin.

Not if major banks use Ripple imo... @on topic While Bitcoin can be used for the transactions mentioned above, I don't think it would be practical to do so simply because of its fluctuating price.

Re: Do we need regulations?
by
DiscretePatriot
on 10/04/2018, 14:43:37 UTC
Every now and then we need always a regulations in order to have a proper process or anything else because regulation intends to regulate what people are allowed to do, and I think that in crypto world we need a regulation to have a clearer transactions for all.
Yes, we do really need rules and regulation because it serves as our guideline in what to do and what is need to avoid especially in bitcoin. We have many bitcoin users so it must have regulation to be followed on order to have proper process. Rules and regulations also serve as the starting point of every users in bitcoin so btc must have it.

I totally agree. I think that being regulated also means that people will need to pay taxes in every transaction. While this may seem negative to many crypto supporters, this actually helps reach more businesses without any fear of being shut down.
